Definitely not modloader, I've been using that for a few days without issue, but I'm experiencing this bug as well. Definitely either this or Player API.

i love this mod and want to use it so badly but no matter what i cant get it to work with single player commands even with the readme i cant get it to work
Bug1: Trying to crawl through any 1 tall space causes damage to the player and restricts movement forward.
Bug2: Mapping Button 3 (middle mouse) to Sprint causes the screen to go black. The only way to escape the black screen is by quitting and removing the binding from Button 3.
Also, an option to keep sprint as double forward would be nice.
Hola, I'm trying to install this on a fresh copy, but it gives me a black screen and quits before I can see the error log. And here's what I got from looking at the ModLoader.txt

any way to get default sprint back? double pressing W does nothing now.
Modloader version works fine for that, W still works with default sprint.
Thoguh there are 2 bugs I know of, items are stretched upwards, making then look thinner, the hand doesnèt follow your movements at all, plus on SMP if I try to go under a 1x1 hole, Though that's not really a bug. It's probably because since the server doesn't have the mod applied in it. I am 99.9% sure of that.
Hit an odd bug in 3.6 (thanks a million for the update, by the way. I've been excited to play this since 1.8 was released).
I was messing with the charge jump on top of a giant mushroom. I was trying to see if there was some way that I could combine its upward boost with a horizontal leap across to another mushroom. I don't think I was successful, but I made it close enough to grab the ledge of the mushroom. As I hit my grab key, the screen was replaced with the end-game "saving chunks" image, but had no progress bar as per the norm. After that, it blackscreened and never recovered.
I'm wondering if I hit a special case when the game tried to apply damage for the impact of my grab. I wouldn't know what triggered it, but that seemed to be the exact moment that it crashed, even if it crashed before the telltale "OOMPH" and damage was applied.
I hope this helps you out. If you need more details I'll try to provide them.

same here, but it happened when jumping from tree to tree
been trying to get this working on and off for a couple of days, not new to modding, using the latest playerAPI and Modloader, minecraft keeps throwing this at me :tongue.gif:

Found a bug with 3.8. In creative, flying doesn't work anymore. After double tapping space, you can continue to rise by holding it, but the instant you release space you go plummeting back down.

Aye, thought it came from me binding sprint to shift. Didn't test with anything else though.
EDIT: I can also eat in mid-climb. Don't know if you'd consider this a bug, but eating also used to slow me down waaay more than it does now. Unless I'm just tripping. Probably just tripping. The climbing thing though, do with that what you will.
Hey I think I found a bug, You can climb up fences, if it is a bug, it may be beneficial, just add a different animation for it and ta da! stacked fence climbing, as if they were ropes
oh, and a feature request. no idea if this is possible.

Would it be possible, to automatically change the player's "view" based on certain actions?
For example, If I'm climbing a ladder, I don't intend to be building/destroying blocks. I'm too busy climbing said ladder. Therefore, could you make it automatically switch to 3rd person view while I'm climbing a ladder? And then when I'm done climbing automatically switch back to 1st person view?
I realize I could just press F5 to achieve what I want. But I'm lazy and think this would be awesome if it did it automatically for me.
You could probably make this work and add it to the config file. Since everyone might not like this idea.
