Saying "they couldn't get on at all" is incredibly vague.
How do you expect anyone to help you if you don't give out any more information?
Errors, crashes, something?
Minecraft has stopped running because it encountered a problem.

--- END ERROR REPORT e58c4975 ----------
Could someone give me a rundown of the controls? The only thing I can manage to figure out is hauling myself up two blocks...
Try my map in the signature, it includes a full tutorial except for the most recent feature (vine climbing). Minor warning about hanging from ledges: the hanging checks are very sensitive to the direction you look into. if you look too far left or right from the ledge, you will fall.
I got some mod compatibility problems. I really want to use some of the mods included in Zombes Modpack. But i also LOVE Smart Moving. It seems that they are pretty much fighting each other. Is there any way to be able to use them both?
I also got SPC and the patch for it, along with TMI.
I am pretty sure you are supposed to open the .zip file and drag the .class file into the .jar file. By just moving the .zip into the .jar, the game probably can't recognize what that file is supposed to do.
Anyway, I am still having my own problems. I still have that server connection error:
Connection Lost
Internal exception: Java.io.IOexception: Bad packet id 230
Which only happens while the mod is installed. If I pull the files out of the server, I can connect to it just fine.
No, sorry was just totaly mad of keeping to try installing the mods. but oke this is what I did.
CLIENT:
1. Started with a clean new minecraft
2. Opened minecraft.jar
3. I dragged modloader then Modloadermp then Singleplayercommands then Player API then the SPC patch files then TMI then Optifine Smooth.
4. I started Minecraft
5. opened the mods folder and draged in the ZIP file for smartmovement (the ModloaderMP version)
6. also dragged in the REI's Minimap mod
both server and client have the 7.0.1
That is how NOT to install SmartMoving. you copy the contents into your minecraft.jar, not into the mod folder. Also I'm pretty sure someone mentioned the current ModloaderMP (or the current SmartMoving version) having problems with TooManyItems. Also you didn't say that you deleted the META_INF folder, which I hope you realize is essential to do.
Also note that it's not a smart move to just install a whole bunch of mods and then just complain about it not working. You could at least TRY to make it easier for the mod creators and triangulate which mod it is exactly that causes you problems. Install the mods one by one and test each install. when it stops working, you just installed the mod that's incompatible.
For the client installation, you can use the Install Packs I made recently
I never got a response about this, but it's a real issue for me.
With Smart Movement set to Medium (or Easy) and the game on anything above Peaceful I can't lose food from the meter!
No matter how long I sprint, climb, take damage... I never get hungry. I hate to cheat, especially when I don't mean to.
Any ideas?
I don't use TMI but it is very recommended for Smart Moving to be compatible with it
Download the SPC patch listed in the Op.
I believe that's fixed in the newest version.
1. Of course.
2. Yep. Unless something happened between 1.1 and 1.2.3 (I haven't tested Smart Moving on 1.2.3), it should work.

Hold your grab key to climb vines. also, press Jump instead of Forward to climb up free-hanging vines.
you seem to have installed ModloaderMP and SmartMoving twice. Try installing them again from a clean .jar (try my instant install pack)
which version of SmartMoving did you install?
Well play version 7.0 and later (7.0.1 most recommended), and to climb them, hold Grab then Space/Forward
I also got SPC and the patch for it, along with TMI.
And Risugamis Biosphere, and Minecraft Forge.
