Poll: What do you think?
Ended May 15, 2014
Haha, well the point isn't to make it do stuff for you completely automatically, maybe you have the wrong impression. You don't ever need toggle sneak? Or when you're strip mining, relax your index finger a little? Or look behind you while running (or even mining)? When you launch MC, do you constantly resize or maximize the window?
I can confirm the KeyBindings not saving problem, I'll get on a fix as soon as I can. Sorry about that!
pt.class clashing with Optimine. This is the EntityRenderer class which makes lookbehind possible. I will look very hard at it, you're the 3rd person to notice the clash, but I'm a bit skeptical that I'll be able to resolve it. Were you able to get it working without the class, but with some less features? Any info would be helpful.
As for window restoration not working... that is odd. Try a simple case and let me know. Just keep the window at its default size and move it a bit. Does that work, at least? Can you look in your appdata minecraft folder and tell me if you see a controlpack.txt file, and if so, what are its contents? You should see the window dimensions in there.
Window state 6 is a bit surprising, I'm not even sure what that represents. What system/OS are you on? Anyone else not seeing window restoration?
It looks like it clashes with the p.class in Zombe's Modpack, so it may be a good idea to add that to the list of compatibility issues.
Other than that, it's GREAT! Hope you make it compatible with Zombe's modpack sometime soon :smile.gif:
The SoundManager starts up before the mod, and it does some hacky thing that temporarily sets your music and sfx volume to 0, then restores it. In doing this, it rewrites the options.txt file. Since it's before my mod has initialized, the settings for it are lost.
The funny workaround? Set your music and sfx volume to 0. The settings will persist then :smile.gif: You can set the volume up again once it starts up. You just have to remember to set it back to 0 before you quit MC or they will be lost again next time it starts up. That sucks I know :tongue.gif: But its a bit easier than remapping the keys each time, yes? :tongue.gif:
It'll be fixed one way or another in version 2.3. Sorry about that.
I can't possibly check all the popular mods out there. We know the LookBehind feature conflicts with Optimine. Not sure about the others. Basically, if any of them have the same file names in them, there's a conflict. Let me know if you find any from those other mods? Thanks.
You should make them compatible, then I would be able to use this! :biggrin.gif:
p.class is MinecraftAppletImpl. This is critical for the plugin, unfortunately. Actually, this class used to be unmodified and instead Minecraft.class was modified (in net\client), but this made it incompatible with MCPatcher for HD Textures. I could in theory produce both versions so you could chose your poison. It's kind of a pain to keep 2 versions going though. Unfortunately unless Notch adds extension points in the code, or something like ModLoader (1) steps up its game and adds more extensibility, and (2) everyone in the world uses it, mod incompatibility is going to continue to plague us all.
I'm disappointed Notch's plan for modding support is simply to release the source code. It's not going to help this situation one bit.
Zombe's Mod or MCPatcher... Zombe's mod or MCPatcher... Oh this is going to be a pain in the tail to decide...
EDIT: Well... Zombe's does have the source code in the archive... Perhaps you could modify that and make a new p.class file?
I currently have I think no bottles of water in my fridge!
Hey, thanks :smile.gif: Great video :smile.gif: It does support MCPatcher now, by the way :smile.gif: Big deal methinks.
Also, if you don't have a middle mouse button, you're not out of luck anymore. Now you can hit BACK at the same time as FORWARD to look behind you, too.
The swap commands are L and R for left and right. You seemed confused about those. The swapping isn't for whatever you were last on. It's just left and right of where you are (on the toolbar).
And no, in vanilla MC you can't shift-click the sand into the furnace in your example. It adds that. Another thing it does is let you shift-click the items back into your inventory (from any of the 3 slots). That may have been added in vanilla MC 1.6.6 but I'm not sure, I think that may have only been for the smelting result slot.
My name.. yeah, it's weird. But it's just the plural of Infinity (Infinities), then Loop. InfinitiesLoop. :smile.gif:
No problem man, Yeah i noticed on the thread after words that it is now compatible with MCpatcher :biggrin.gif: which is great because that was stopping me from putting it into my new lets play! and great addition because i just got a mac and i got a magic mouse with it and it doesn't have a middle button ahah :tongue.gif: Oh woah that makes alot more sense, i was rather confused about that sorry about the mistakes in the video, no one can make the video as good as the actualy creator of the mod :smile.gif:
Just wanted to thank you again for the awesome mod! also one thing that might be cool to add in, is a full 3rd person view, i know there is a mod for this already but you could add you own in on this mod and it would fit nicely in your control pack :smile.gif:
Thanks, great suggestion. Do you have a link to the mod you're talking about so I have an idea of what you're talking about? MC has a 3rd person view, so it must be something nicer...
One more thing, you forgot to mention the auto window restoration feature :smile.gif:
not released yet!), and I've added a cool new feature :smile.gif: Specifically by request, I give you better 3rd person view:Description:
Now while in 3rd person view, you can hit F5 a 2nd time to enter another kind of 3rd person view. In this mode, the camera is locked to an orientation based on which direction you were facing when you toggled the mode. You can then move around, turning around everything, and the camera will always face the same direction. You can see yourself turn around, look up and down, etc. I don't recommend playing the game in this mode, but you can. It should allow for some great screenshot and video angles that were not possible before. Combine with F1 to turn off the UI chrome.
Hit F5 again to switch back to the normal view.
Interestingly MC itself has this ability but it's disabled for some reason. This adds it back! Not sure what will happen with other views in 1.7.
Looking into increased mod compatibility for 2.3 as well. Any other do-able requests before I release 2.3, let me know now...
