Do you think the hunger and thirst bar will be filled up by food from Pam's Harvesting mod? If not do you think you could make a config where we put the item id(obviously a consumable item) in and we choose the hunger and thirst it gives? That would be pretty awesome if so.
First off, this is a great mod. I have finite water, nature overhaul, and this mod. I also used to have the "smarter AI" mod, but they were acting even stupider than usual, so I got rid of it. As it is, my minecraft game is far more intense, I'm gonna start a one-life game with ramped up needs difficulties. However, there is one thing that I find is too easy, you can drink from any water source.
Now, I dunno if you've ever used finite water, but it's an overhaul of the minecraft water system to make it more realistic. There are two kinds of water blocks: ocean, which expands infinitely (to save CPU cycles), and finite water that is any body of water around 800 blocks in volume or less.
As a modder, I hate people asking about compatibility, but I figure I have nothing to lose, so here goes. Would it be possible for you to implement a system where the only drinkable water is the finite blocks, so a player can't drink the infinite ocean to survive, but instead has to consume a limited resource. I'm not 100% on whether the finite and infinite water blocks use two separate ID's, but I suspect it is so.
Anyhow, that's just my two cents. Great work on the mod.
P.S. I'm coming across a bug where my UI for the mod disappears, but the mod menu still lists it, and I can craft the waterskin. So far, I've been able to counter-act the glitch by deleting the settings file in the Mod/Survivalism folder, but obviously this "fix" deletes the users settings, and it is still only a temporary fix, the bug comes back eventually, I'm trying to pinpoint when, exactly.
Love this mod, tons and tons and tons. I've been using it for a while now and it adds a large amount of realism and depth to the game :smile.gif:
I've found no glitches (Outside of my own stupidity with IndustrialCraft, bloody cables), but I would appreciate an option to click it to infinite lives :smile.gif: If it's already there, I totally missed it. I use the mod mostly for the hunger/thirst/fatigue elements more so than the lives, and while I think they're *great* and should remain within the mod, I would like it if this was easier to use without running the risk of "Bye Bye" world or going through the files to undo such as that :smile.gif:
Also:
It's probably already been mentioned, but just to be sure and show my interest/support as well, but I would love to see this use the Minecraft Forge API, as I would love to see this even more compatible than it already is :smile.gif:
um ive installed this but i cant seem to get the ui to show up i keep making new worlds but it's not working
oh ya the ctrl + r isnt working either
I have the same, Voodoo are you still here mate. Any chance you can see why the
bars / icons arent showing up please? Ive used your mod before np, but this ver
seems to have a glitch...
Appreciate any help VDF,

All the food from my mods will fill up the food bar for Survivalism. However, at the moment, none of my drinks will restore thirst. I'm waiting to see what VoodooFrog does with this mod after 1.8 before adding the thirst code to my mod.
You know, this mod should be able to be compatable with the Evil Minecraft mod. For a person like me, who wants a serious challenge in the game, would very much enjoy having these two mods to make things that much more annoying. :laugh.gif:

Is there a way you can change where the hunger bar and other bars are located on the screen? Like if i wanted to put the hunger bar in the place where it will be in the 1.8 patch, how would i do that? And is there a way i can turn off certain bars. Like if i only want to have the thirst bar on, or hunger, or fatigue ect. Is there a way to do this? Please respond as soon as you can. Thanks
For all those having icon display issues: are you using the texture patcher? Certain versions of that can cause graphic display issues.
I'm currently gutting Survivalism to try and get it back up to speed. If I can't get soul shrines to work as they should (everything I've tried so far since updating to 1.7.3 has failed) I may have to change the way soul orbs are put together. We shall see....
Both mods use the same item indexes, causing minecraft to crash on initialization...
Too bad, I would have loved to combine them...
Regarding squiffys problem, I had the same issue. I just made a random guess and installed GuiAPI0.10.4-1.7, which actually solved the issue - I have the survivalism HUD now... I just figured you forgot to include it in the requirements list...?
Cheers
The reason that's not in the requirements list is because it is not, in fact, a requirement. I certainly don't use it. :tongue.gif:
Hmmm... doesn't seem to matter what I do, the Soul Shrine still automatically closes when I add the components for fuelling up an orb and when reopened they are gone. I flat out don't understand why it worked prior to 1.7.3 and doesn't now even though the code is all still valid. Looks like I'm just going to have to give up on the Soul Shrine and change the way orbs are created. :sad.gif:
You should probably add a way to regain lives. If you eat a golden apple, it should replenish everything but the lives completely. It would give you one life. After all, it has magical properties, but, if it costs THAT much, it should be something special.

Hey, I really like this mod, but it seems incompatible with a lot of my mods, and seems to crash Minecraft every time I install and use it with another mod. Is it possible for you to make a version that doesn't include all of the extras? Lives, hardcore, soulshrines, etc? It would be awesome just to have the hunger and thirst. If you read this, thank you for at least bothering to read/deal with my complaint :smile.gif:
