Last time I checked it converted a block into microcubes by a furnace like interface, I don't like that, how about we use it like a pickaxe and break blocks with it.
can you pls make this compatible with plasticcraft i am making a gymnasium and plasticcraft adds trampolines
and now i need a beam and this is perfect
That's not compatible because we are using the same ID's for some block.
Just create the file ".minecraft/config/MicrocubesMod.cfg" and write the following in it (for instance, you can try with other values between 100 and 256 until it works) :
How hard would it be to have an SMP implementation? I'd say this would be a long way away, mind you. Like v1.1 (we're 9 partial revisions away).
Well, v1.1 may be (really) further than 9 partial revisions away (see the explanation in the OP), I believe in a certain meaning in version numbers - a minor revision means changes that can be important, but are not breaking anything and are keeping a certain continuity in code, while a major revision means either a breakage of certain things, major improvements or major rewriting of a great portion of the code.
I don't think an SMP implementation would be that hard to do, but I would rather wait there are less bugs and flaws in the SSP design before having to support an SMP implementation, so that would certainly be after version 1.0.

Also, any plans on SMP implementation?
See before about SMP implementation. If there is a lot of people asking for it, I could maybe make one, but as I won't have any real time for coding for at least one month (long story short, I have one week of heavy oral preparation left, and then at least three weeks of oral exams for different schools), it would not be that soon whatever (and I would really prefer not to have to provide support for it until I feel the SSP version is quite correct).
About the furnace interface, I fear there is nothing I can do about it without editing Notch's classes directly (this means no possible installation by putting the .zip in you mods folder, and more compatibility issues).
I was planning on having two different branches of this mod in the future, in fact : one requiring an editing of your minecraft.jar (Notch's classes), and one (with less functionalities) which wouldn't.
Well, in fact, I have already coded the code to have the hammer work like pickaxes or other tools since before I released version 0.1, I could as well provide it as a different download. Will do that this week-end.
Now all I need is for a 512th blocks version and a mod that scales the player down to 1/8th their size, then I can do some things that I have been wanting to do badly...

One of the best mods I've ever had the pleasure of using, the eighth block adds a fantastic dynamic to the game and would fit great as an actual installment in minecraft. I definitely think notch should implement this.
A 32x32 texture pack that keeps faithful to the original textures, items, and gui.
Edit found a bug if you use tnt on them the game crashes
Me too!!

Oh, thanks. Link added in the OP.

Will have to investigate that when I have time, then. Thanks for reporting !

Great mod :biggrin.gif:
Well, I tested here and I think everything is ok, I haven't noticed any bug related to this mod yet. (I'm using 1.6.6 now).
Latest Update Video
FYI I ran it just fine in 1.6.6, I have seen some people asking for an update, make sure Risugami's Modloader is up to date first.

Mini or quad-shot cannons.
Not yet, it's discussed. This will create utility to eighth blocks as a side effect. Essentially, they'll become drainage grates.

Say the following is a grid space:
Place blocks like so, filling a single grid space, and it works:
Now say you have two grid spaces. Place the blocks in such a way that the face spans across both grid spaces, like so:
And the torch will not place right, just sticking to the ground in front of you.
It has glass, it just isn't shown in the video. Try it out ^^
