I'm curious: Does the mod still utilize yMod (main mod currently abandoned) or was that just a one-off build? If it was, it would be fantastic if you could incorporate what yMod did into this mod, R-T-B.

I think the two are completely unrelated.

BOB is a plugin system that allows random objects to be spawned on the map. They can be created with the BOB editor, though there is a new version coming out and the BOB repository is currently down.
So by random objects do you mean random blocks, or actually custom designed schematics (i use MCedit) that have a random chance of being placed? And also would you be able to determine where (altitude) and how often they are placed (frequency)?
Also are custom trees going to be coming back or did that not work out?
Also noticing a distinct lack of pine and birch trees, bug perhaps?
Along with that bug I found something else interesting, in attempts to test the INI file, I set the world to 0.0 temp, and kept making new worlds, while I did that I would occasionally see a "red" sky and see a line in the trees and grass of a bright green biome color, whereas everything else was a muted green. When standing in these "lines" of a different bright green biome color, that is when the sky would turn red.

Ah crap, it's not interpeting the settings file. Stand by while I fix this.
Seems to at least interpret the temp settings right now
A similar bug used to happen to me with BiomeTerrainMod. Basically, i'd figured that another mod must have over-rided one of BiomeTerrainMod's class files, so i just re-installed BMT, And i didn't get this bug anymore. However, i did notice that the bug continued to show up in SMP.
Edit: BiomeTerrainMod died? I knew that Bucyruss stopped updating it personally, but you still maintained updates, even for 1.4_01. Does this mean that you've re-written the code to be improved in some way? Keep in mind i couldn't interpret one line of code for Minecraft if my life depended on it...

This happened however with PTM being the last thing I installed, so If anything is overwritten, its all PTM files that are the ones overwriting the other files.

This is a known bug. If you check, I think you'll find that the colored grass line you're standing on is either the X or Z axis (Push F3 to see X=0 or Z=0) Whenever you stand there, the sky will turn Red.
1) This is a known, rare bug.
2) It only happens in SMP.
3) Not everyone on the server will experience it.
4) I don't ~think~ it will happen every time.
4) I ~think~ it happens when a modded client attaches to a modded server.
This happened however with PTM being the last thing I installed, so If anything is overwritten, its all PTM files that are the ones overwriting the other files.
Oh, quite strange. I could offer you possible reasons for what the problem is, but it most likely wouldn't help.

Weird. I once had this happen in SSP though. And Darc_Clan, see, patience is a virtue (when waiting for responses). If being patient involves waiting all of 3 seconds.

The BOB objects are custom designed schematics that have a random chance of being placed. They don't have to be just trees, but could be dungeons and monuments. There is an importer already to convert MCedit schematics into BOB schematics. Custom spawn frequency, biome, and clumping are planned, and Ohmusama has already implemented them into the editor, and hopefully these will be working in the mod soon. Right now you can still design objects and set the global spawn frequency for custom objects.
BOB is meant to be a replacement for custom trees. Ohmusama is already working on an interface to allow for custom branching (so, tree branches or even dungeon corridors), although this is not yet finished in the mod either.
This happened however with PTM being the last thing I installed, so If anything is overwritten, its all PTM files that are the ones overwriting the other files.

Now it seems ever since I messed with the temp, that I can only made snow worlds with the random red-sky induing lines in them. Even after deleting the .ini file and scrapping that .jar file and using the backup prior, and taking that backup and installing PTM all over from scratch.
This won't happen, and terrain generation will be normal if I just use my backup .jar, with PTM. hoping the next bugfix release from R-T-B fixes that, or at least makes PTM listen to the .ini correctly

Phoenix is BTM, only with a new name to celebrate the new version.

Temporarily down, I believe, while RTB fixes a bug.
Ohh, thanks for the quick reply!

Anyhow, the new bugfixed SSP build is up. Give it a go!
Please redownload and report everyone! This one at least does something! :smile.gif:
On to the SMP and Bukkit builds if this works fully!
Things to test: Is volatility working? Or is it botched? It could be, I only generated a flat desert and never tested it.
