Goats! I think they're DKCgoats, but I could be misremembering. I've found this one to be the most foolproof additional animals mod so far.
Thanks for pointing me to that mod - I found it quite nice having goats running around, and more ways to get leather too. I have been trying to produce a well rounded playstyle for a while now and I didn't want to make the game annoying by having more meany mobs, so i wanted more friendly mobs, and this works. (and of course the koi mod is awesome)
Ok, guys we hit a little snag... plus I haven't had the time I did before the job... but we are getting somewhere! Kinda excited about the modding API!!! Anyways...
No, not much we don't work with... don't mix modloader with non-modloader mods and you should be fine!!

This post was all over the place, but I get the gist.
Right, so the initial plan was for me to work on the mod while DJ was at work, but until we get some gas money coming in I'll be hanging out in the car at her job (6, 7, 10 hours a day in a car! Whoo!). Once things normal off financially I can come home and work on my own projects, but it's going to be a while before that happens. They currently have her working 6 days a week, so... yeah. That's a big part of the delay guys, Minecraft 1.1 and the API might be out before the update at this rate lol.

You should have bought a laptop, not a desktop computer for 1(lol). And for 2, if your going to be hanging out in a car for 6 days a week, maybe you can find a job round the cornor? or something to occupy yourself with.. Maybe you can master the art of coding on the iphone.. xd

Well, strictly speaking we didn't "buy" anything. Most of the parts are from DJ and I having separate desktops prior to losing our jobs, the exception being the video card which was a gift from my cousin (thanks again pimpington, even though you don't read this!). Also, I don't "buy" computers, I build, and building a laptop costs roughly the same as buying one, which is around 3x more expensive than just owning a desktop. If I could afford an iPhone, I could probably just afford to go home after dropping her off. We currently don't have a cell phone, and I spend most of my time in the car playing Scrabble DS, Chrono Trigger DS, or quietly bitching to myself about Mega Man X not remembering I picked up the damn leg upgrade after I beat Chill Penguin (SNEMUL!!!! *shakes fist*). I get what you're saying, there's just not a lot to be done about it. There isn't much in the area, and what is there isn't really hiring (it took DJ around a year to get this job after losing the last one).
To all you Vader haters out there, we'll blow your planet up! Which is to say stop asking if it's going to be updated, if you can't even read the current page then you are not worth responding to or acknowledging. We ran into some major snags when porting the code over to 1.0, and I may end up having to re-do a significant portion of the code (again, yay). Right now I just don't have the time or energy (as much as I'm for pseudo-code, it really, really doesn't help when you make your own pseudo-code and have no way to execute it for testing) to finish it up. We'll get it out ASAP, but it could be a few weeks before everything settles enough (we have lives and families, and lest you forget, this is a busy time for both). The constant need for code revisions is in part due to changes in the way the game handles things, but mostly because I've only just scratched the surface when it comes to Java knowledge, so my bass-ackwards methods tend to stop working when they fix some of their bass-ackwards methods.
To everyone else, we appreciate your support and hope you won't give up on us before the next release comes out. Thank you guys for all the downloads, DJ managed to get a nice bento box to pack her lunch in (Yay $10 on ebay!!! I love you guys! - <3DJ).
i wish i knew how to mod and update =/ i would make an unofficial download so that people can stop bugging you to update D: sadly i have no idea how to mod. with all my free time it would be nice and would also make it where i could use this mod instead of waiting like everyone else.. oh well.

Buh, ok, first part of the holidays are done. To everyone who suggested I get a job, thanks, I hadn't thought of that when I was selling the original 360 to buy food. The whole point of me sitting out there is to save on gas, though I have been looking around at jobs. In the immediate are there's nothing, but I'm looking to get back into electrical work. DJ should be getting a check soon and I'll be coming home most days to get the koi sorted.
We've honestly been so busy ('tis the season) that DJ hasn't even had chance to play Minecraft lately. I've played a bit of Skyrim, but not so much, honestly. We've been scrambling to get the Christmas thing done, DJ is constantly exhausted from work and whenever I get chance I come home and work on real life stuff (like sorting through old boxes for stuff to sell).
don't get fed up by them haters kerik. just leave them be. lots of haters these days. Don't leave your problems here man. haters be swarmin. Fix em up. and shut em up. Minecrftforum is full of kids anyways.

This is the internet, everyone is anonymous, if you put your life out there, people will say things that they're normally to chicken to say in real life. Every opinion is unedited, and not tailored to fit a mold. No one lies on the internet unless there is a face attached to your words,money is involved, or there is a status level contained within your actions.
People love to state there opinions are that's what I was doing. I didn't know he had tried to get a job, he never said that. He said he sat around in a car for 8 hours a day. That paints a picture of a bum in my head, so I suggested he get a job. Now with his clarifications I know he's tried but, failed miserably. I didn't know that though. He painted a half a picture in my head and didn't paint the rest for a good while.
Actually historically through the thread I've talked about our financial troubles, but I was simply offering the explanation. I don't take any offense, I just have a tendency to be a smartass. I recommend people take our ribbings with a grain of salt, I'm usually a pretty laid back guy. The only thing that's really gotten me is the people stealing our mod.
Speaking of the mod, I managed to get DJ a tablet PC for Xmas (late, mind you...) so we'll be taking full advantage of that. Gives me a bit of freedom to work on days when I do stay in the car and it gives DJ a nice drawing surface to work with textures. Hell maybe I'll try doing a texture or two if I can just draw it. Plus it gives her a computer for web browsing and things where she can lay back and use it. Thing's like a 12" mobile Cintiq from what I've seen, so maybe we'll have awesome new textures with the final release of the koi (well, maybe alternate textures). Again, sorry for the long wait, life takes over sometimes.
