Hmm i kinda feel you rushed this version - you left out alot of good mods and and like 10 i will take out off bat. Also once again you're still not taking my advice on posting the versions of the mods next to the name & links on the homepage...like seriously how hard is that? For instance, forge has snapshots in the SVN(which fixes some serious bugs), are those applied in AMCO 1.0? No?..then say so. It will help you and others, you will get more downloads and moderate users will know, if possible, can update individual mods within the overhaul. AMCO is well known, start doing lil things like that. Start making changelogs as well and post them on the OP rather then in your comments which get buried. This is the one thread i use the search feature of the forums, its crazy. And there is no used id's png. I kno this is rushed otherwise you would have put in the new McExtended. and wouldnt be worried about block id's.
And why take down the 1.8.1 version? its better then the 1.0 as of now. I'm not being rude, but i always been a fan of your work and promote it heavily, to anyone playing minecraft, hell i got friends playing minecraft just because of AMCO, because we all know, vanilla is not where it's at. I've never used technic pack, and dont support it for obvious reasons..but i glanced at their pack is is detailed, with versions of mods, changelogs, custom installers etc.
Stop rushing your projects to satisfy the impatient...you're only taking away from your quality of work. Easy.
I found a few problems. The mods that has keys to certain actions (Millenaire, EE, ect) won't work. (Even after reconfiguration and uninstalling Rei's minimap)
Woah, woah, woah! Why did you take away 1.8!!!! Put it back, i think 1.8 is even better than the 1.0 mod pack.... So u might wanna keep working on 1.8 aswell. Just put the download of 1.8 back and maybe in your free time work on it.
::waves:: hey Arrrg, yes i'm back, finally starting to get bored with tanks. anyway i found a new mod of awesomeness for ya to check into if you like. Custom NPCs. This mod is almost on par with what i'd want from an npc mod. I like to build everything myself (minus the occasional ruin) then to populate stuff with custom npcs. Rather than npcs building towns for me, cool to watch and mess with... but ultimately i want to design a storyline... and npc's are of course a big part of storylines. Anyway, hope your as impressed as i was. :smile.gif:

Be Nice! Go take some valium. I do agree that it would be nice to have *ALL* versions of AMCO left up. Really too bad that every modder doesn't do so... but that's a loosing battle... and i might be missing the last revision of AMCO 1.8 anyway... where'd we stop? i think mine is 3b or something. No big deal but if its linked i will download, just in case i want to reference it or something.
And asking for change logs and 50+ versions of files to get updated every time there's a new minecraft patch would be a pain in the ass at best, worse you may cause Arrrg to 'rush' AMCO if you keep him busy with the forum, he needs to be busy coding or packaging instead. That should already take 90% of the work off your shoulders. And every patch brings in people who have the less patience than my one year old nephew. :wink.gif: if you think its worth updating to make sure it's current, update it. In most cases this wont break AMCO or minecraft. Or be happy with the 98% functionality of the current AMCO. Arrrg's just one dude.

Obviously you havent installed the latest version. It's rushed and basically a ruff draft compared to 1.8.1.
Theres conflicts off back for people who dont know what they are doing.
1.8.1 wasnt complete and he takes it down, including all the links etc but leaves up 1.7.3?
As you noted, yes i would like to cross reference the 1.8.1 mods and i still use rev8b and you're on 3b? AMCO came along way since then..too bad its not available for download anymore.
I dont feel there is a need for an overhaul for 1.0 yet...these mods for 1.0 are updating daily..you digg? More work for him/you/me to try and keep up Makes since for Arrg to wait for Ic2 to drop in a couple weeks to put a package together rather then trying to squeeze in another overhaul into this overhaul.
If he takes the time to put in hyperlinks in his post..adding a few extra characters takes about 5 seconds? Example: McForge 1.2.0(not1.2.1) really how much "extra" time does it take, im sure he has the versions visually in his head as he is not blindly downloading whatever is available on each mods page without reading crosschecking for conflicts. Im pretty sure he is just not downloading the latest version of anything and just throwing them altogether, he has been doing this for awhile so im sure version numbers, are the first thing he looks at, remembers them subconsciously. Otherwise, how would he know what to update and when to update it? If he is going by dates..then wouldnt that even be more of a hassle then just keeping versions numbers in a text file?
And dont tell me to be nice, because i wasnt being mean...i just like to speak whats on my mind and tell it like it is, if you dont like it, cool. I'm pretty sure my comment was directed at Arrg, responding to my post is is just more clutter which has nothing to do with something.
Valium? are you serious? Was i raging or talking crazy to the point it seemed i may need medication?? stop cock riding, there was no reason for you to even say that to me. I dont see anyone praising this last update, learn what constructive criticism is. And once again - no one was talking you.
He should have kept 1.8 rev8b as the main topic and 1.0 as a test trial available for download...not just convert like that. So sloppy and its not like him. Easy.
Thank you for the update, it's great! Question, is it possible to run two mod packs simultaneously? I wanted to run TMI w AMCO but one seems to 'knock out' the other. Any help would be appreciated.
Yo, just want to say, I feel disapointed with the 1.0 version. You cut out almost half the mods from the last revision, the main mods I liked aren't there/working. I say you should have stuck with 1.8.1 a bit longer (maybe pack a bit more in?). Also, some mods you should consider 2 add:
Thaumcraft adds a magic system similar to IC2, but powers runes that can shoot fire, or push mobs, and it's powered by the stuff you throw in a special trash bin, so 2 uses in 1 mod
Buildcraft add-ons: there are multiple add-ons for buildcraft, such as logistic pipes, which adds pipes to turn your storage into a factory auto making items you need, forestry, which adds farming options and new engine/fuel options, or even railcraft, adding new rail tiers.
They are both 1.0, so they will help make your 1.0 pack better. Only conflicts seems to be between railcraft and forestry, both cant be used.
Relax about the version numbers Streetstar, not gonna happen.
As SimonFox (who is a long-time supporter) mentions, I am just one dude.
I've written myself some custom tools to help automate the "Credits/Content".
However it does not scan web pages, parse them, and keep track of all the version numbers.
How much work is it to type it out? Try it and find out.
Retype the "Credits/Content" section with version numbers and hyperlinks as you suggest.
Send me your results and I'll use them instead, but keep in mind I update weekly...
Also, here is the latest ID code map.
I've tried to keep everything the same as much as possable, but vanilla added a bunch.
As we can see there are plenty left, even a nice wide space reserved for IC2.
ID codes are not the problem, and I'm aware of at least 3 mods to help with that if it were.
We are out of terrain sprites, not block ID codes.
Feedback about posting a link to AMCO 1.8.1 Rev 8 is correct.
I'll do that this afternoon.
I'm not satisfied with AMCO for 1.0.0 yet either.
New mods and updates happen all the time that's why I update almost weekly.
Every time the vanilla game changes it forces a complete rebuild, which takes weeks.
AMCO 1.8.1 Rev8 took 8 weeks, so expecting 1.0.0 Rev1 to be the same is a bit much.
This is just where we are in the cycle right now.
MIneFactory Reloaded if im not mistaken was in 1.8.1 and now available for 1.0(you left that out)
Seems im not the only one who feels the way i do aboout Rev 8 being taken down.
You already have hyperlinks on the homepage including descriptions, a few xtra characters next to those descriptions such as version number, is what im asking for..i dont understand how hard that is to edit your own post and type 1.2.1 next to a name, but whatever.
You put alot of work into 1.7.3 version making sure it was complete..i just dont like how you abandoned 1.8 and uploaded this 1.0 crap, as you said the mods will be updating daily/weekly. How is castle defenders in this pack as you state on the OP but now you're saying its covered by ToK, how does ToK cover Castle Defenders when they are two completely different mods?
Arrg you kno you're my fav here on the forums, i appreciate your work. Like i said i feel you were rushed to please a few ppl and now you taken a few steps back...thats all..if you need a lil help just ask. Ill be happy to give you a list of version numbers to post next to the mods, if i could edit your post, hell i would, but this is your mod.
And take that other guys advice on that NPC mod...it IS vvery good, even if you cant use it for AMCO this is something i definitely been looking for THANK YOU!
Also: pwngod seems to have made Forge patches, there is one for ItemSprite3.x for 1.0
Mine Factory Reloaded was not included.
Send a link, I'll check it out.
I've just updated the forum's 2nd post, the placeholder for old versions.
A link to AMCO 1.8.1 Rev8 can still be found there now.
The hitch with the "Credits/Content" automation is that it also generates the text for the splash screens.
I like to give the modders as much credit as possable by tweeking that text to say:
"Featuring '<Mod Name>' by <Author Name>!"
I personally think it would look cluttered and impersonal if <Mod Name> had a bunch of version numbers.
<Mod Name> is the same text that gets put into "Credits and Content".
However, after more thought, I think I see a work-around.
Besides StreetStar, you are not the first to ask for version numbers.
'Castle Defenders' does not use 'Forge', so it's ~15 new blocks count against the terrain sprite limit even though there are enough block ID codes left to handle it.
However, the spirit of 'Castle Defenders' (getting a bunch of other dudes to gaurd your stuff) has really been expanded upon in the latest version of 'Tale Of Kingdomes'.
I needed more terrain sprites so disabled 'Castle Defenders', but forgot to update "Credits/Content".
If aggrivating StreetStar is the only downside of giving too much credit to modders, oh well.
It could even be argued as an upside. :smile.gif:
I would have already had a look at "that NPC mod" if a link were included.
Guess it will have to wait for me to look it up though.
Including links is the fastest/easiest way to get me to do that.
Example: For weeks people were asking me to add "that Fossil mod", and I was replying "'Fossils' by Hogofwar is already included".
Pwngod contacted me earlier today granting permission to use his patches.
I'll be includeing them (and probably some kind of 'Nethercraft' theme) next revision.
Keep those (polite and linked) comments and suggestions commnig.
And, kick back and enjoy the ride of the development cycle for the next few weeks.
Don't worry, I'll take good care of us.
And ToK doesn't add mob towers like CD does, Its a bit different but i guess i see your point. I would go for the ItemSpriteAPi Forge patches and MCextended route maybe. Also 1.2.2 Forge is out today.

No you cannot .... ALLMINE123 mod packs are comprised of a huge amount of mods made to work together seamlessly . So block Id's would run out AND classes would conflict . So no they cannot

Oh awesome, I've been waiting for the 1.0 version. Shame that some of the mods from previous versions had to be dropped but thems the breaks with the modding scene I suppose. Still absolutely awesome and one of the best modpacks I've found
I think there might be a little code left over from More Creeps and Weirdos in the 1.00 version. The Mummy pyramids with the bedrock labyrinths keep spawning in my worlds. I can say for sure it's not from the ruins mod as I've already been in and jiggered those settings and these pyramids are spawning alongside the regular ziggurats

TMI does work with this so i dont kno what you are saying. TMI doesnt use block id's and it only needs to overwrite one class if convenient inventory is installed. i think its the em.class, which is fine.
Here's the link DTDB(Dam that Done Button): It will put the Done button down the screen soo it wont overlapes with Control setting. ControlPack: Adds several feature like auto tool selection, void remover, toggle able run, jump and sneak and many more Smart Moving:Enable you to do slide, charge jumps, grab edge of blocks and climb it up, new swimming/flying/falling animation and many more(My fav mod, cant live without it. Suprise my why Mojang didnt think of it first)
I'm not sure if they give premission(Didn't state at OP) Just hoping they would. Good luck mate :laugh.gif: .

Thank you for the update, it's great! Question, is it possible to run two mod packs simultaneously? I wanted to run TMI w AMCO but one seems to 'knock out' the other. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for clarifying. Appreciate it
I think there might be a little code left over from More Creeps and Weirdos in the 1.00 version. The Mummy pyramids with the bedrock labyrinths keep spawning in my worlds. I can say for sure it's not from the ruins mod as I've already been in and jiggered those settings and these pyramids are spawning alongside the regular ziggurats
I'm sure he will get to it now that it is finally updated to 1.0 so don't be so impatient.
TMI does work with this so i dont kno what you are saying. TMI doesnt use block id's and it only needs to overwrite one class if convenient inventory is installed. i think its the em.class, which is fine.
DTDB(Dam that Done Button): It will put the Done button down the screen soo it wont overlapes with Control setting.
ControlPack: Adds several feature like auto tool selection, void remover, toggle able run, jump and sneak and many more
Smart Moving:Enable you to do slide, charge jumps, grab edge of blocks and climb it up, new swimming/flying/falling animation and many more(My fav mod, cant live without it. Suprise my why Mojang didnt think of it first)
I'm not sure if they give premission(Didn't state at OP) Just hoping they would. Good luck mate :laugh.gif: .
