OK, installer glitch was my fault.
I used .rar compression instead of .zip.
MediaFire link was broken for a few minutes while I made conversions to .zip.
Everything should be all fixed up. Download at will.
<edit> Found another problem, but MadCock and I are working on it right now.
Please stand by.
Nockl,
I had a look at your error report.
It contains a lot of unexpected end of file stuff.
Perhaps that means your previous download was corrupted.
Please try the latest download and installer.
I just want to post how much I love the overhaul that you have worked on and look forward greatly to the next stable release. You have my support with all this (not that it means much) and would love to help contribute in someway. I am looking at perhaps getting back into recording if my computer can handle it and make some nice videos. Again, plus one from me and keep up the good work
Has anyone got the current release working at the moment? (First post leach lol)

Installer trouble has been isolated to how files are compressed on my system.
Seems to work fine when compressed on MadCock's system.
As a test I deleted everything, and used the fixed installer to rebuild the pack on my system.
Works fine now. Links on front page now point to installers that should work for everyone else too.
World generation is a continuing problem for lots of people.
Removing 'Better Dungeons' from your .minecraft/mods folder clears the problem up in most cases.
Seems like we shold be able to narrow it down to a particular type of dungeon it adds, and just remove that one.
Thanks for your paitience everyone. I'll be sure to let everyone know when this is nailed down better.
Following the link and launching from the "PermGen" batch files mentioned in the "known bugs" section also helps.
OK,
I've run it 4 times each way.
I can get my system to crash if 'Better Dungeons' is installed.
I have not been able to get my sustem to crash if 'Better Dungeons' is removed.
The error reports also complain of 'Better Dungeons'.
So, links will be broken for a sec while I remove that mod from the download.
kp249,
That crash is due to the update checker not being able to get to the files it needs.
I've been able to duplicate it by using a firewall, or simply not connecting to the internet.
You can remove 'DNS Update Checker' from your .minecraft/mods folder to avoid the error.
I have been able to prevent this error by removing that file.
It is documented in the "Known Bugs" section, but looks like I need to delete it from the download.
Download doesnt work for me
I get to the webstie and it says this:
Invalid or Deleted File.
The key you provided for file download was invalid. This is usually caused because the file is no longer stored on MediaFire. This occurs when the file is removed by the originating user or MediaFire. Still have questions, or think we've made a mistake? Please contact support for further assistance.
OK.
Download links are back on.
Try again OmriLock.
I removed 'Better Dungeons' and 'DNS Update Checker'
Sorry MadCock, we'll get it figured out shortly.
It's late Saturday morning in Euorope; folks want to play now, so I wanted to post something functional.
The update checker is a super nice feature, but can cause problems if it can't get access to the network.
'Better Dungeons' seems to be the culprit for the crashes durring world gen.
Both MadCock and I were able to get it to crash when installed, and stop crashing when not installed.
Only a handfull of people downloaded the pack with these problems, so I did not incrememet the revision number.
We are still officially at Rev5.
Hopefuly this will finaly work.
Sorry for the thrash everyone.
Thanks again to those who wrote in with their error reports.
It takes so long for a new world to generate what is the average time it takes for you guys new world to generate?
Ok my world isnt even loading. First time I tried generating the world it got stuck at "converting world". I forced my Minecraft to exit then opened Minecraft again. I tried opening up the world again and it's stuck at "loading world"
You must extract the bin folder and keep it with the .exe or .jar
the installer looks for this folder to know what to install.
Its also windows and MAC compatible, but was never tested on Linux and I'm pretty sure it WONT work on there.
so keep your bin folder with your amco installer, either on your desktop or both in the same folder.
Why did you delete the updater, was it causing you problems???
Yes, at the DNS modpack....
I used .rar compression instead of .zip.

I guess that is a problem. DNS freely gives its installer and update checker to amco to use if they want..... what a bunch of douches!

<truges off to bed>
Thanks for making this awsome pack
Ok my world isnt even loading. First time I tried generating the world it got stuck at "converting world". I forced my Minecraft to exit then opened Minecraft again. I tried opening up the world again and it's stuck at "loading world"
I installed the modpack manually
I'm getting this too.
I'm also having this error.
