It would be nice if the vortex software intelligently
sucks items to it, meaning that if your magic chest
is set to absorb only dirt, stone or any other materials
wouldn't be drawn to it and get stuck at the exterior
of the chest but would rather not be affected by
this vortex chest.
I tried to make a conveyor system but it lamentably failed...
Spectacular mod, but I was wondering if you could somehow make multiple coded quantum discs for chests.
Such as, you make a Quantum DVD, but then put red dye in the crafting square above it and it changes color, and it is on a different circuit than a yellow Quantum DVD.
The red one has dirt, the yellow one has stone, and they both only have those materials at the same time.
What do you think? Possible for a future update, or a bit too hard to code for now?

channels planned...Aero why not make a toggle button like the one for filter type? but give channels cool names like the Obsidian channel or something :tongue.gif:
also, another method is touse dyes on the disks to change channel, but this requires lots of items :sleep.gif:
Well alrighty then, I'll wait eagerly for it to come. That and if IndustrialCraft ever actually gets back up and downloadable. Taa taa for now (cause I think people who say ttfn are lame)

Ya, that would use a lot of sprites (if they were actually different colors anyway --- and it'd be hard to tell them apart if they weren't). Oh, maybe you could select the channel by right-clicking while holding a quantum disk (and it'd flip through the channel names), when you get to the one you want, stuff it into the chest. [That way it'd just be a damage value on the item for which channel it is]
*Is very excited for quantum channels* *explodes*
Question, exactly how explosive-resistant is the immunity software? Is it ... as hard as Obsidian?
Ed: Ooh, idea for quantum channels, Arrows! :tongue.gif: < (channel name) > [sorry for bad art, I probably could have found a > arrow icon around here somewhere] that way you could flip through either direction.
(Cos I was thinking it should be easy to change channels)

Maybe signs near the chest could be used to determine the channel? I think that would be relatively item-light to do, but I can't communicate with the other two programmers all that well, given that their time zone is across the world from mine
lol i like how the furnace software is supposed to make it easier i can never seem to get it so the ore continusully goes into the furnace ... plz help
Last time I checked, yes. However you may run into ID conflicts because of the weird way BuildCraft assigns IDs [but I'm guessing you won't because of the few numbers of item/terrain sprites in Magic Chest].
Kasnov: It seems that you have a problem with your j.class. Check if any other of your downloaded mods overwrite it, and if they are out of date or not (I had a problem with an out-of-date TMI mod)
Well, due to the forum design updates the whole thread is broken. I´ll try to fix it...
All your suggestions have been noticed and I´m going to work on Magic Chest at the weekend as much as I can.
very handy but this mod cant be used with either mo' creatures or flan's planes mod cuz i have them both but when i install this one the game crashes...
I think Planes uses 255 for the airplane crafting bench. (which is the standard ID for Magic Chest) You can use the config file for Magic Chest to change it to something unused. [Or possibly change the Planes one to something unused]
aha sorry for the absense, my regular net ran out and I dont have broadband yet...so just weekends for me!
ive worked on MC for a bit and the following has been done:
Fixed the furnace software(I HAVE FIXED IT THIS TIME!!!)
Furnace software takes stacks of 8(pending GUI button to toggle between 1 and 8)
SLIGHT update to food software for code readability purposes(used the proper heal command rather than edit the health)
Vortex software is now aware of filters...all of them...
shall we release V0.6.1? :biggrin.gif:
So.... when are we getting quantum channels?!? :tongue.gif: Jk, keep up the great works guys.
Oh, yeah. Should be changed.
FYI: I didn't use cake.
Is anyone else having the same problem as me?
Could you specify what food, which slot and how many life you had? Also if it was a large chest or not?
In particular: Add it so that the chests will supply a Recycler in range.
Load up all my Cobble in row one, and get a bunch of nice Scrap in row three.
This would allow me to hide the recycler in the wall, power it through cables. And just manage it through the chest.
(Of course, now others could do this as well.)
I realize you could do that with a large chest but I who want's to make a large chest JUST so you can destroy stuff?
Goddamn do I hate this name z_z
Before I add mod compatibility, I want to finish magic chest with SMP.
But I might do it, as well as adding plastic craft micro wave compatibility..

Erm, I had like 2 health left, and it was bread and cookies, the very LEFT slot, and a random slot in the middle. And it was a small chest.
Well alrighty then, I'll wait eagerly for it to come. That and if IndustrialCraft ever actually gets back up and downloadable. Taa taa for now (cause I think people who say ttfn are lame)
Fix worked, no more dupes *cheers*

*hmhmmmmmm* (my video is from v 0.6) *öhöm*
Just kidding. Use it only if you want
Here is my channel on youtube for you to look at my stuff
