Oh it's me again, we tried updating the server to 1.9 of the mod just now, and everytime I try to pick up a tram from a chest I get kicked. I also can't craft things from the mod anymore...
We only have this mod and Flan's plane mod installed.
The error message we get:
[WARNING] Failed to handle packet: java.lang.NullPointerException
Try to use a fresh minecraft_server.jar because this crash report doesn't mean much to me...
are their any public servers up for this mod? i really wanna try this out in multiplayer, and if possible if the server has industrial craft i be really thankfull
sorry for the meme, but epic trains are epic. seriously, this is an awesome mod, kudos to you. If you need any help with the cart-joining thing then I'd be glad to help.
I do have to report a bug though; when in 'tunnel' mode, the track placer can break bedrock.
I do, however, have a suggestion to make as well. instead of the blocks form the track placer simply evaporating into thin data code 0, what if they were placed in the inventory of the track placer, storage wagons attached to it, and nearby chests. the player could also have an option (in the config file) to make the blocks simply 'pop' out if there was no space, but this would be disabled by default.
Let me know what you think

If you think I'm helping, click the green plus over there --->
This is neat and all but uh...pushing passenger cars is umm incomplete. The idea behind a train is to pull things like that. Any news on making that a possibility? I mean without the use of pulling stuff like a normal train does, this is just a fancy minecart lol. Great idea though :smile.gif:
How dare you call it a train mod, if there is no way to link them together? Either code it so they can link, (very possible,) or rename the mod. Don't expect me to give any suggestions. All I know is the definition of 'train', which is:
A series of railroad cars moved as a unit by a locomotive or by integral motors
and remodeled powered minecarts that you can mount, are not trains.
Think there is a more accurate definition? Look it up yourself, and find one that describes your mod. Yeah, good luck with that!

Yeah...sorry if the quality is bad..I had to scale it.
While we're shunting and not towing, when the train stops at the signal will the carriages just shoot off or will they stop to? Obviously once we're towing it's not a problem as when the train stops the carriages have no choice... But what about our current situation?
+ Added Signal block
- Activate it by clicking on it
- Or A click on a button/a pression on a pressure plate will change it's state to green/red
- Trains will slow down and stop when approaching it (start to slow about 12 to 8 from it)
- It must me putted just besides the tracks doesn't matter if it's on the right or left of the track
+ Trains can go faster
- High speed train can go even faster :biggrin.gif:
Woo! New update is awesome! It got me thinking though...
Perhaps a switch signal could be incorporated, one that indicates the direction a switch section of track is going. Also, that idea gave me this idea.
If the minecarts and trains follow a specific path laid out by the player (via tracks), would it be possible to create more complex corners and switches? Consider having a turn in two tracks, and within the 2x2 area of the turn, a forth piece of track is added, the turn would... smooth out. Because when a player puts track in a diagonal line, the cart/train will follow it diagonally, so making it so the cart/train can go diagonally across a turn would mean the train is only making two 45 degree turns instead of one 90 degree turn. Just an idea.
I'm also considering posting as many "locomotives pushing cars" pictures as possible.
