I'm not gonna argue over your stupid obsession to have this in tekkit. As for other train mods, last i checked, you can still over heighten the modules for the Steve's Carts mod to make them look like trains....
Okay. Let's look at this another way. What parts from tekkit/technic do you think would compliment the Train and Zeppelin mod? Other than railcraft of course.
I would also like to hear about these other train mods you mentioned.
It doesn't make sense for this to be in tekkit, especially if your only reason is because you want to. If this update works well, they should mod pack this with the other compatible train and tracks mods, not with tekkit.
Have you guys considered asking the tekkit guys to look at this mod? With this mod being updated for 1.4.2 and Tekkit doing the same; it couldn't hurt to see what they'll say. I know I would be ecstatic to see it in tekkit.
Calm on the forums, we need PEACE.
Just assume I know what I'm talking about; the dev's are working very hard on updating this, but Sebastian has very little time now that his university is in the way, just read the below quote, and cool it!

It probably would've been better for them to not add the [1.4.2] in the thread's title until that version was actually available here... otherwise you have people checking the thread, seeing the title updated and getting their hopes up only to be disappointed when they actually try to find the update.

If at first you don't succeed, get a bigger starshiplocomotive castle and try again.
You should not be editing the title to say 1.4.2, unless there is a download link. Equally, a new thread should be made, as another developer is now responsible for the mod, or at least, responsible for it being updated,
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Currently seeking contributors for a massive Wiki project @ http://minecraftuniverse.wikia.com The aim is to cover in-depth as many mods as possible, right down to Blocks, Items, and Crafting Recipes.

We have decided that in light of what Mojang has done (1.4.4), and some other factors, to postpone a release till further notice. (Explanation below)
Now I know what you might be saying,
And it is understandable to be using such primitive methods, but it doesn't do anyone any good. If anything it makes it worse.
Now since the original author is busy IRL, and since real life comes first, I have volunteered to continue this project, untill he returns. I am also getting help from some existing members of the team, so please refrain from bothering SpitFire4466 further with requests to help, for updates, and anything else really. We are working on in and are going to do it proper.
Since this is a sort of an inconvenient way to relay information (Middle of the thread), as some of you have stated, we have created a new IRC channel on Espercalled #TrainCraft, where you'll be able to get some more info. There are rules to be using this, and they will be enforced.
Explanation as to why there is still no release.
Well first of all, Mojang has announced and already pre-released the 1.4.4 version of minecraft, so to release this now, would be pointless, since a lot of the work would have to be done again, in a short amount of time.
Second reason is, as you might know the last version of this great mod was a development release as well. Now some of you might be ok with that, but I want people to be able to enjoy it, without running into problems and/or bugs.
So at this point a lot of work will be put into the project for, well, all of you really, to enjoy. A lot of code rewritten and updated to work better, and hopefully a lot of bugs squished.
So please be patient with us, and know, we are working on it.
Cheers,
Mrbrutal & team
But what about when 1.5 comes out and after that and after that? Updates are going to be perpetually released so getting updates out increases interest and buzz.

I'm happy that Mojang releases updates but they're constantly releasing mod-breaking updates all the time, and that really rustles my jimmies
please be noted i do have a 1.4.2 working version however,in the process certain functions are broken.
ClockworkHearts, this is not going to be perpetual in a sense that just because a revision is being released means we wont update.
if a major version is released e.g 1.1,1.2,1.3 and the like usually they might have bugs which will be instantly fixed hence the sub revisions e.g 1.2.3,1.2.4,1.3.2.if such is the case usually when a stable sub revision of the revision is released then only a port will be created even if a later version is released e.g 1.5 because the same cycle will repeat itself.
so do not worry if you do not see updates, lastly because most mods work hand in hand to create a good experience simply follow the pack, this mod is to supplement railcraft, which in turn railcraft supplements buildcraft 「simply name the major mods in the following sequence」
so if most major mods shift onto a version we will simply follow suit.
eromanrocks,i believe you do support LMM? since LMM SMP developer +LIZ+氏 has said that SMP will be stopped,MMM氏 has only created 1.3.2.
I am new to the minecraft community and this is a mod would base my whole server around, would like to know more, and if there is a actual 1.4 version coming out for bukkit, or if i need tekkit for the 1.3.2 version. Sorry but this is a mod that is awsome and one that ive been looking for to make my server stand out diferent from others.

Only version compatible with Bukkit is for 1.2.5, there's no bukkit support (yet) for 1.3.2+
Also, stay in the look out for the FTB modpack when it gets released so you can ditch Tekkit and its illegalities (which i'm not going to bother mentioning, google it up if you want)

Ok i will look at the FTB, is that how i will look it up, and the 1.2.5 will run with the 1.4 vanilla or will i need a older jar file.
EDIT: ok i need a 1.2.5 server to play it, and it would be the version 3.1.8. traincraft universal mod that i would use. The statment everyone above is saying there is a update of this coming soon? Im not to well with how to install and the differance in the files. still learning this stuff for minecraft, thanks for the response.

As the current mod maintainer said, we might not see an update for this mod until 1.4.4 comes out. That you can do is go to mcportcentral.co.az and you can find tons of info regarding mods for bukkit. they're also on irc esper.net #mcportcentral they should be able to assist you more with bukkit. You DO need an old jar version for 1.2.5 you can easily get it using MultiMC and using the downgrade feature.
Make sure the Block IDs match on all clients/server. I know its a complicated process but once you get used to it you won't even need modpacks. I play with about 60 mods and I configured everything myself
If what you want is a regular server (Vanilla) you need minecraft server and client to be 1.3.2 and download Train Mod v3.1.8 Universal
ok thank you i will play around with it, i want to try it, and would love to have this on my server, you have been very helpful.
So hopfully when 1.4.4 is live this week, the mod update should be out shortly afterwards to run with servers on the current update, and hopefully on bukkit servers. I will read up on those site tomorrow, I really thank you for the time to tell me this.
Even though 1.4.2 might have some bugs, or might not be fully ready, you could still release it and make a lot of people happy. I know hundreds of people who delay updating for a lot of mods and it doesn't really seem worth it to withhold something that's basically ready, even if a development version.

I'm in the IRC right now... this is the topic:

Why are you guys using IRC if you are basically not allowing any of the questions that people could have to be asked. There is no point in using it, it's rules are way too restricting.
Edit: I spoke to the guys at the channel. The update has about 40 bugs and they think that users will want to wait for a bug-free version rather than play Trains and Zeppelins Mod now, as well as they feel that releasing a version with bugs will negatively affect their reputation.....First they change the name and now they are too uptight to release an update....I'm gonna talk with a few friends to see if an unofficial update can happen because the way this is going is just too wrong and a disgrace to Spitfire......

I do have an instance in MultiMC with minecraft 1.2.5 and LMM. I just love it! Been browsing the site but was never able to find the 1.3.2 download
