@PoisonofPhoenix I think I've seen that done in other mods before. The 0-4-0's (Or what ever the arrangement is) and the Passenger cars could really use that. Considering the fact that I think the passenger cars take like, half the id's.
I have an idea for more id's for the mod, but i don't know is it possible to make.
For more ID's you can use like this example the slab id 44 : 5 but with the trainsmod id's

They're already on the way (finished just waiting to be put in game).
Unfortunately we're running out of ID's, so I dunno how much variety you'll have available in-game. HOwever, I will provide additional PNG's here for those that wish to use a Locomotive livery/road decals that isn't available in the mod.
I did a Canadian Northern SD-70 to complete the set. There weren't really any reference BN Green/stripped SD-70's so I passed on it.
But I did do Warbonnet versions since these are american classic painjobs.
Still have to do a centerbeam flatcar before we've represented a good majority of the American/North American rolling stock.
Note: The actual mod might not have all of the cars and trains seen in my screenshots. We're limited in the number of ID's that can be used, and since the mod had already used up a lot of ID's before I got involved, that limits how much I can contribute.
I will try and workout a solution with Spitfire in the future. That way you could simply download the mod and have everything in there you need. Otherwise I will provide replacement PNGs in the different liveries I've posted.
Anyhow, I have a couple more modern american cars I'm finishing.

[EDIT] I would like to push for the seperation of the Mod into two or three Mods:
-Steam Railroadcraft
-Diesel Railroadcraft
-Electric Railroadcraft
That may give us enough space to make many of the trains people are requesting and love.
It may also solve the issue of using so many ID's. Since now you can pick and choose exactly what era you wish to put in your game.
I really hope these make it into the mod, youve done so much extraordinary work with these train models. I saw you did a steam shovel a while back in this thread. What is the likely hood of getting one of those large rolling cranes they use to pull the containers off trains and put them on trucks?
About the id problem, Eloraam, creator of Redpower, has roughly about 1000 blocks; using about 10 id's (I haven't counted it, but the scale is about same) and she is using damage values, if I remember right. Spitfires should ask her about it.

I would HIGHLY recommend Railcraft as a compliment mod to Trains and Zeppelin.

Just want to remind that the current version of Railcraft (5.4.7) for 1.2.5 is not the recommended version (5.4.4). When I used 5.4.7 I noticed some weird stuff (like how I couldn't set a parking brake).
If you are suggesting, perhaps a block that on one side you put in what ever type of power and on the other side have a wire going out to put on the overhead, then it should be possible. Perhaps confusing, but possible.

But is there somekind of "electric rail" or do railcraft have power line over tracks available? I'm not going to download IC2 just to have power lines for my trains...
EDIT: Yep, no electricity from redpower possible. Since these are forge mods, wouldn't it be possible to add to this mod powerline where you can attach other mod's power wires or something else?

They're compatible. Been running them together for quite a while (with BC 3.1.6 and 3.1.5 before that)
what build of buildcraft 3.1.6 are you using? in build 49, forestry is compatible, but biofuel won't enter combustion engines. i tried a few others, but nothings works right. i tried build 102(i know it's not compatible with forestry), and after i log, and load the world, ONE chunk with buildcraft stuff is ALWAYs reset!
Oh man, if someone could make a modpack with this, the Zeppelin mod, Steamcraft, The airships mod,steamboat mod, sky pirates mod and Glimmar's steampunk, My day will be made. The Steampack!
Okay, so I used Magic Launcher to use a 1.2.5 minecraft.jar so i could use this mod. I installed EVERYTHING properly, but the trains did not move. Yes, I was pressing the right key, too. Help!

Should have no bugs in-game (aside from the angled peices bug, but Spitfire knows about it already).
Will be at least a day or so until I can update/fix all the textures. But it's ok.

It's a eastern european train. Now, i can't give you technical details, but my friend would love you forever if you added these
