Not sure if this question has been answered. I looked through the wiki and most of the posts to eliminate redundancy. I downloaded the newest version and forge, buildcraft, ic2 are all up to date with the specs for the download. I have some other mods installed as well but don't think they would conflict. Anyway, when placing one of the trains the image flashes as the original model for a split second then reverts back to a minecart. Trying to figure out where the mix-up is. If anyone else has experienced this problem or knows the solution then please let me know! Thanks
removing one-by-one mod from game, you can determine exactly which mode produces the bug and report here.

I'm talking about the rebuilded structure of the game. there is no independent singleplayer like now. Even when the game will be played in single player it will play through the local server (127.0.0.1), so that all mods will not be in two versions (one single and one for the server). all the mods will have only one option. and they will all "Server-edition"
Now Spitfire added the support to buildcraft 3, not 2. But buildcraft 3 have no server mod. And at minecraft 1.3 any buildcraft MUST be server-mod, so Spitfire add the support of this to Trains and alll must be good)

The Block ID's which was fixed by changing the 2xx to 4xx NP.
Now in creative mode (single player) the horn and sounds works along with the option for the Parking Breaks.
But when I run the mod on a SMP server all sounds are gone and we no longer have the parking break button.
Which can be a real pain when you try and stop the train when it still has some fuel left.
So most important is this intentional ?
If not how do I fix it.
Could you map a hot key for the brakes in the Train2Config file ?

when you use IC2 lava cells to fill a tank cart, it spits out buckets for each cell. needless to say, this gets very messy when you drop a whole stack on lava cells in the tanker...
buildcraft oil has the same appearance as water in the tanker.
had an issue with a train (VL10) teleporting a few chunks (between 2 and 4) the train did have fuel in it and had yet to start moving. it was on a railcraft train holding rail, and when i powered the rail, the train vanished. it left my rail system and passed through a glass wall.
the config for the controls doesn't have the ability to add keys that's name contains more than one character (ex: Up_Arrow, Down_Arrow). if you added the ability for the config to use the java key codes as a substitute, this could remedy the issue (just add a brief description, key code 38=up arrow, 40=down arrow, ect..)
i also have a few suggestions.
allow electric trains to use the batbox cart, MFE cart, or MSFU cart from railcraft to get IC2 power from. because these are also carts, the issue of needing a block should be resolved. (or add a battery cart for the electric trains version of the tender, and have it use the same loader as the railcraft IC2 electric carts)
if the above is possible, it could be possible to add special carts for IC2 machines

I'm unable to recompile the old Freight car you posted. I used the exact code and Javac spits out a bunch of symbol errors.
Would it be possible for you to compile the old ModelWagon (the old freightcar) I'll put it in my installation and will fix up the texture and make it look pretty
Awesome mod but i figured out after like 30 mins of testing it that my flint and steel block turned to unnamed and whenever i try to place it it turns into a signal block... HELP!
i predict a dark month maybe more when that change happens, so many mods will need to be completly overhauled, im pretty sure some will just die out too.
it just makes sense to me that for now a build using the 2.x api for smp, having the server version use an api that is ssp only is really strange. on windows i managed to get it to work just but sadly ubuntu is more "efficent" and sees the api as non compatable wigs out and kills that area of the world
(not to mention makin the track layer place track with out that pesky requirement of having track in it lol (and glowstone and wood)
i do not doubt that one day ill be able to add this to our server but it would be sooner if the smp version didnt use a ssp only api lol

I actually had this problem aswell, I fixed it by going into the train2config.cfg and changing the ID's for the mods blocks as they were set to default minecraft items for some reason :s.
