After I log in Minecraftg is black screening. I put all the mod loader files in the jar file, all the train_mod files in the jar file except for the TrainConfig which I put in the .minecraft folder. Am I supposed to put the train_textures somewhere else. If you can give me an explanation it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

could you please provide us with you error code found in modloade txt file, please other wise what you're telling me is to find a needle in a stack of grass......
a couple of glitches: when clicking on the locomotive with sticks while sitting in it crashes the game.
when going up on a steep angle the passenger gart disconnects... ( actualy any angle like just one block up makes the passenger cart disconnect.. NO WAY TO STOP the crifing locomotive!!!! really no way other then droping something in front of it which i cant because if i get out i wont catch up.... due to the last error i have a gigentic track throught my world because of my stupidity i placed train behind track builder and made it go, now i cant catch up, lost it in sight and have a massive long as track.....
hey guys could someone give me the official name for the track builder. I use single player commands and I realy want it. Can you please give me the offical name?

is it possible to make a settings file in the next update, in which you will be able to change the speed of the locomotive? because i like when the train goes slow not too fast.. or you can implement speed gears in the train if you right click it with something..
Is there a version without the, 'laytracks and destroy the landscape as I go' function?
I'd love to have my own train transporting me across vast stretches of the world...
The amount of iron it would take is probably to much to be feasible, so I guess I do understand why you have that 'lay as you go' kinda thing going on.
Someone has brought this up before, and I have had this happen too: when you try to link the passenger or freight cars to any other, it crashes and closes MineCraft... any thing I might be doing wrong? :/

TO INSTALL: save the picture somewhere on your harddrive, then copy+paste it into the minecraft.jar in the train_textures folder, rename 'train2' to '#train2' or something like that, then rename the downloaded image to 'train2'

-The recipe for the train is very time consuming and confusing. I would suggest something like this:

-There is no way to stop the train short of destroying it, destroying the track, or placing something in its way.
-Same thing with the track layer
-The passenger car and the freight car have no rolling resistance, so if you push one it will go forever until something gets in its way. (such as enough hills, another cart, the end of the tracks, ect.)
-there are large image files that are unnecessary

EDIT: fixed the BBCode for the first signature tag. Just copy and paste the new code into your sig for it to be correct.

the textures i made are now stretched it works if you look at a post i send to you before it contains a download with every drawn texture in it for the train and it has the right names and size so it wont strech.

Dude, way too many useless Items and Block ID's tied up with this mod.
Simplify the crafting recipe to use less Items that are already in the game. You can still make the thing expensive if you like. But when your mod ties up 15 Item ID's for iron dust and charcoal powder, then you need to take a step back.
Also I don't care for the Zeplin at all and I think its a lame knock off of Pchan3 Steam punk Airship.
On a good note however, the train looks super kick ass and I do want. I just haven't had any luck with getting this to run with the 20 or more mods I'm already using. Being the primary reason, I wish you where not wasting precious terrain sprites with 20 useless items that serve no purpose but to make a novel train, that I may never use for any practical reason but to have a train. And yes I know about smith_61's Minecraft Extended mod. But I don't care for it atm because it conflicts with single player commands and Optimine. It's late tonight but tomorrow I'll back up all my files and install from a clean .jar and see what it's really worth.
I'm really sorry if this comes out harsh, the train look smashing. Please consider what I said as more of a critique then a lecture.

Not making the zeppelin is not the right solution, you did not think multiplayer I'm afraid.
If I want to run a server with this mod I want to be able to disable zeppelins.
Secondly, what you said about when he starts making tons of mods and then seperate them..
I don't get that. Why not start splitting them now? That saves you the time of splitting in the end and the user has more control overall. Of course it is probably already split up, but that should also make it easier to split them now.
Maybe it also makes it easier to keep your code and things more structured?

well a smp server with this mod seems little too far ahead, i mean theres still bugs for the sp, but yeah i guess disable for mp sake, but thats a long run, secondly i dont realy want to add all the mods seperatly i mean in sp you make the choice if what tobuild and about the codee...well if i have an error in (even lets say) 5 or 6 packaged mod it will tell me specificly what has gone wrong.... but again im not a tidy person my desktopright now has over 100 yes 100 icons and exes and folders and what not, and i dont want to clean it up since i know where things are :tongue.gif:
EDIT: ummm bug , when the train leaves your line of sight it despawns..... heres a picture of my track and i want it to go automativly, (its a closed loop) iwill refill i=once in a while but i want it to go around while i build epic stuff....
you can clearly see the track,,, i think, anyway it just despawns when i set it loose, but is it possible not to despawn it?>
