This is such a cool mod, but its not compatible with the wild grass mod... :/ i would totally use this, but if i have to choose between this and wild grass...

It seems to work just fine with Wild Grass, for me. What problems are you having?
And this is a lovely first mod. :smile.gif: Very functional, not at all balance breaking.
Is there any way to rename the flowers? I'd like to change some of the appearances of the flowers, but then they don't match their names, so I was wondering if you could either include an ini file to edit the flower names, or just tell me how I could go about changing them myself. :3
Alright, you'll have to use MCP to decompile your modded Minecraft.jar. With MCP V.3 this supposedly works, but I haven't tried it out yet myself. After that, just open mod_Flowercraft.java and change every instance of the flower(s) name(s) to what you would like. After that, recompile, test, and reobfuscate and you'll have a new mod with new flower names!
Unless I can get a complex properties file working (not likely in short term, I have AP Tests this upcoming week), this is unfortunately the only way you'll be able to change the names.
Edit: You said you were planning on changing the images, so I'm assuming you have at least some limited experience with MCP. If you don't, look into a couple tutorials. It's pretty user friendly.
This is a FANTASTIC idea. It adds to minecraft in such a way that it makes a great addition without harming the already, default minecraft. The only suggestion I would add, would be changing the textures to the 'oval' dyes to look like Petals.
Do the flowers you made drop the already coded dyes? If so you could easily just make a texture pack that changes the items to look like the petals. The only downside to that is if someone uses a texture pack they like. In that case, if you know how to, it would work if you made NEW items that they dropped, coded separately as a new item with the same properties / crafting recipes as the normal dye. That way someone could still use a texture pack but, for instance, get a pink petal.
hey, i'm making a flower block for my mod and I was wondering if you could explain how a flower/mushroom's spawn code works because my flowers are finished but the don't spawn anywhere.
sorry about bugging you but there are no flower toutorials that explain the code.
please PM a response if you can
Love this mod, I was using WildGrass before but was disappointed that the different flowers were not able to be taken out of their biome while keeping their appearance.
Now I can have way better landscaping with this mod (and it's useful too)! =)
This looks like a great little mod, can't wait to check it out =D
I was wondering if it might be possible to request an addition to this mod, purely aesthetic, of being able to create potted plants? (I'd love some around my home >w< )
Recipie something like:
Where
= flower of choice
= Clay brick (to form a clay pot)
= Dirt (obvious)

I may or may not be able to get a properties file working that allows you to choose block ids.
Anywho, here's a picture of one of my disastrous first attempts on the new mod:
Simple Coords - Simply displays your coordinates.
SaturationDisplay - Displays your hidden saturation.

That sounds complicated. D:
But I'll try. :3 I like figuring out new things, anyway.

Regarding coding of flowers: I will send you a private message.

I hope this makes sense...
Edit: It works
