Toss 1 gold and 3 redstone into the water and rapidly use a bucket to mix it. I don't think you can get vanilla lava legit.
Again, sorry for being so late.
I was wondering if this functionality had been removed, but since it hasn't, that's okay. I'm asking this many questions because I love this mod, and I'm keen to have it run alongside mine. Unfortunately, mine uses buckets of water in crafting recipes, and the finite water bucket has a different ID to a normal water bucket, causing the crafting recipes to be far more expensive. If it were impossible to recreate water, it would be mutually beneficial to me and djoslin to overwrite the ID of the standard water and water bucket with the finite ones (this can be done using ModLoader, as I have done it myself). However, since vanilla water can be remade, this is not possible. I will probably have to release a patch for my mod to allow it to use finite water crafting recipes.
I found 2 bugs in the mod.
1. I can't see the west and south side of ice when it is touching water.
Edit: The same thing happens on the top of an ice block.
2. I broke a grate and when water went through the spot where the grate was the game said saving chunks and then crashed. The world was corrupted.
I have a bug, the water no longer makes the light level go below level 4, meaning that when night falls, grass can survive through the night and continue to spread underwater during the day. Fixing should be as easy as making the water block light as the original minecraft water does.
Would it be possible to add a way to adjust the "rate" at which the physics for the liquid is processed? When moving water it feels as if its physics are running at less than 30fps and the rest of the game at 60-75.
I'm not sure how difficult it would be but would it be possible to make it so when you punch or hit(with a tool) a block that has water/lava on one side of it you will get some indication of the existence of water or lava?
Maybe the emission of a particle.
It would serve as a warning you are about to break through and potentially flood the chamber your in.
One problem I'm finding is that when I place a pipe block and hook a pump up to red stone, some of the pipe blocks go dark grey and the pump wont work.
I have that same problem it seems like the blocks with another block above it are the ones that get dark most of the time.. but not always.. its very annoying anyone know why they do that? and how to avoid it?
Can't see any liquid textures, including old water/lava.
Mods I have installed:
Modloader
AudioMod
FiniteLiquid v4
GuiAPI
ID resolver
MCExtended
PReader
Too Many Items
I've also used MCPatcher and have tried it with Misa's HD texture pack, but get the same problem.
Does anyone know what I've done wrong?
I believe it's the MCExtended, They share class .px. I've checked both DJoslin and Smith_61's pages several times over, I don't think there's any way to make the two compatible. We either have to get DJoslin or Smith is work together on that issue.
I am a noob, so i have 2 questions. First of all, how do you mix stuff, and second, is it normal minecraft crashes when i try to compress water?
I only have this mod installed with PReader V1.40 and the latest modloader
I have deleted meta.inf
i do not have the crash file because either it was not generated or i just cant find it.
Ok, so concerning the corrupted world bug involving compressors, here's my field test of it.
Test 1: A single compressor, air is pushed into it via piston five times and the compressor goes green, air bottle is recieved, no problem.
Test 2: A single compressor, water taken by bucket placed between piston and repeated five times, water bottle is recieved, no problem.
Test 3: A single compressor, water taken by bucket placed so that the water only half fills the space the piston presses, button is pushed causing the piston to compress the water into the other free space instead of the compressor, no crash or problems.
Test 4: 3 Compressors and 3 Pistons, water taken by bucket placed so all 3 spaces are filled entirely by water, 5 times, compressors go green, no crash or problems.
Test 5: 3 Compressors and 3 Pistons, fed by a resevoir delivering water between the pistons and compressors via gravity. first activation, all 3 compressors are loaded via piston, water begins to refill via resevior, when full I active the pistons again and the game then crashes and corrupts the world (pistons never appear to fire). *Intrestingly any world made after this bearing the same name also crashed and corrupted after only a few seconds.*
In my testing the only conclusion I can reach is that Finite water flowing during compressor loading is causing the bug.
No other mods were used besides Finite water v4. Nor were any items used from Finite water besides compressors.
Edit: I can also confirm Ice is now invisible from certain angles when its sumberged in finite water.
Is it just me, or does raining not generate water anymore?
Just now rain happened with thunder and everything, but no water was generated around me :/
I have the same issue, when it rains no finite water forms on the ground. Also after starting a new world and building a large evaporating pond I have after 2-3 days MC time been unable to make it rain.
Again, sorry for being so late.

Aside from that, awesome mod is awesome :biggrin.gif:
Mostly moved on. May check back a few times a year.
Is there any video explaining version 4 features of this mod ?

nvm, i got it to work. I missed one of the steps.
now it's failing again :dry.gif:
