Very nice update, Ill make a new install guide for this one tomorrow :biggrin.gif:
EDIT: not sure if this is a bug.
Every now and then when I place a block in water, the water "jumps" on top of the block I place.
My thoughts as I play:
"Huh, that sand looks funny . . . OH GOD I'M DYING!"
[Digging under ocean level]
"Oh cool I found grass, I'll pop up to the surface for some wood, . . . My mine is now an aquarium"
Aw man, I really want to play with these new features, but because of Nandonalt's Coral Reef Mod and Angry Beast's SushiCraft, I can't use FiniteLiquid because their mods can't see it as valid water (and as I tested and reported with the v3 version and 1.6.6, attempting to place their mods' blocks underwater makes them just vanish)... Unless they make special versions specifically to detect FiniteLiquid (or djoslin figures out how to make Finite Water indistinguishable from vanilla water, maybe by swapping their IDs or something), I won't be able to use the mod... :sad.gif:

Lava, oil and quicksand definitely seem to react as if they were just water in many situations, especially when the lava mixes with the other two. Also, piping lava through the pipes seems to almost always turn it into obsidian when it comes out of the pump.
Water also seems to disappear really fast if dealing with grates, or when it's being pumped around by several pumps into and out of various tanks.
Still enjoying the mod, just finding these oddities a little hard to work with.

The block is displacing the water (as opposed to replacing it.) All blocks do this except dirt. Personally I think sand should do this too, as it would make filling in lakes easier.
i did, i made about 10 worlds and found no finite water :/
Try re-installing minecraft, not just force update but delete the entire folder and start fresh. If you have a texture pack see if it will work without it, I have no problems with paintry.

Than my guess would be you installed it wrong. Just to put the files in mod's will not work they have to be dropped into the minecraft.jar or you forgott Preader.class
This it definetly the absolute coolest mod in the world, i have been here since the initial release and you add soo many cool things every update. I always download this mod but end up getting rid of it because i can't stand the whole world being finite and having to get redstone and gold just to make it normal.

I hope you are joking as this is quite possibly the dumbest idea ever in the history of mankind.
I have singleplayercommands, toomanyitems and better than wolves. And tried reinstalling it, fails all the time
better then wolves has too much items. Few of the items must have same ID as FiniteLiquid ids, you need to edit the config file of both so none of the IDs match.
Example of what can happen.
Mod 1:
mega_stick = 552
Mod 2:
super_bow = 552
The game will crash, you need to go in an edit one of them.
Item IDs for this mod can be found here...
.... wierd.... crashed after saving chunks when generating a new world.... how do you install preader?? i hear you have to use the old version.. so i installed the normal version and used the preader file in the old version folder too

You will find it all in new generated chunks, so go far or make a new world.

Mostly moved on. May check back a few times a year.

Oh yes, this happens to me too. Either the lava comes out as oil, or obsidian blocks form. I have a feeling this is a bug.

Information
Did you install PropertyReader?
Delete the minecraft folder, and re-install the game then the mod. You probably have other mods messing you up.
