Suggestion: Make ocean blocks absorb water that is dumped onto them.
I drained a pond by pumping its water back out to sea. I noticed that this created a layer of water on top of the ocean surface rather than becoming part of the sea again.
I'd like to try to adapt this to MCPMF, which is like modloader except a bit less retarded in some aspects. Looks like the code isn't available though.
This mod is for 1.6.6 , not 1.7_01 so if you're updated game your's minecraft.jar with FiniteLiquid had gone. And all water too. Wait for 1.7_01 version.
Well I figured something would go wrong with it, but I DIDN'T think all the water would disappear. Kind of funny really...
Awesome mod!
I made a hot tub using heated iron and a pump system, and, combined with the AvP mod, I'm making a seaside resort for E.T.s! I hope I dont get sued for the hot tub thing though XD
djsolin you should contact nandonalt about his coral reef mod. adding coral reefs to the finite water. it would make the water really pretty and it would be awesome. :biggrin.gif: o and the water is too light and make the water look more like the water in doku craft texture pack on light setting. it would make this mod very pretty and awesome.

..........................Is that why I haven't found a single coral reef, despite exploring a map's worth of ocean and at least five test seeds?
Also, I'm not sure if it's another mod causing a non-class conflict or just not doing it right, but the whole "dropping three redstone and one gold ingot into a block of finite water will turn it into vanilla water" thing didn't work. I had to use TooManyItems to get two buckets of regular water so my farm would stop drying up every five minutes. (Yes, I did it "fairly", as in sacrifice six redstone, two gold ingots, and two finitewater buckets in "exchange" for the regular water buckets.)
Edit: Holy Missingno Creepers, "FiniteWater != vanilla water" must be why I haven't found SushiCraft Seaweed either!
Alright so after taking about 20 minutes to change Finite Water ids, i get it to work. However when i destroy any Finite Water related item (with anything), i dont get the item back. for instance, i destroy a pipe, pipe isnt given back, it just break like glass, leaving nothing.
Can anyone help? I really want to use this mod a lot but if i dont wanna have to grind to get materials every time i want a new pipeline
Not sure, but I think that you have to break pipes with a pick to get the item back
Hey DJ, first of all, I love the mod so far, keep up the great work.
First real major bug that I am finding is that finite lava only seems to generate in the lava ponds/lakes. Digging to the usual level 12 lakes I find them empty which is unusual. I dont know If its just a problem that I am having, but I have cleared the jar and done a fresh re-install with still the same result :S
Other small things is that from behind glass underwater its hard to tell that you are surrounded by water due to lack of animation/water fog. Looking out windows it pretty much looks like a darker version of day at the bottom of a finite water filled lake.
With pistons now integrated it almost seems that the grate block is obsolete or just really redundant with water flows being able to be controlled with pistons etc So this block could be removed/ replaced with something else.
Finally a suggestion - I dont know exactly if it is possible, but you could use the pumps to suck away air creating a vaccuum. In areas attached to the surface this would do nothing, but in a sealed off room it would kill everything that breathes and provide anti-gravity effects.
i love this mod and i and a friend want to play on it togheter

This mod is the best thing since sliced bread.
PS: [maniacalmastermind]I built a weather generator with this mod. :ohmy.gif:[/maniacalmastermind]
Do you own Minecraft?
i didnt say that logs would flood-removable only bottom-removable, okay?
