Notice that this and IndustryCraft both use BlockPipe.class I was wonder if you could rename your BlockPipe Class so does not conflict with IndustryCraft's BlockPipe.class?
Lol, this mod gave me a though. You could make a oil resource that spawns like ore in the ground. Would be interesting. Set it on fire and it'll slowly burn away, process it and use it in Industrial Craft, etc... :tongue.gif:
xd lots of people have already suggested that, i included. I also said something about Lightning (for when notch adds weather) and Lightning towers :3, lets see if he wants to do it or not. This topic could be about Weather and Natural things instead of just water, finite water. Because then you could expand on all aspects, like earthquakes, tidal waves, (meteor - i did not think of that idea from mcmodshowcase's video promise :3)
I didn't read all the posts (I gave a little look, but nothing else), the topic was just overposted, if you know what I mean, haha.

... thats an awesome idea.
pump it out, fill it in buckets and your powered minecarts will be twice as fast and strong when using it as fuel.
A possible way to incorporate this into all water is to have it so that all water which spawns naturally on the surface [including the waterfalls] is normal, infinite water [water spawning in caves can be finite]--however, when you remove some in a bucket or a pump and then place it down, it becomes the finite water.
A possible other way would be to make it so that bodies of water which are larger than a certain volume will refill indefinitely [this would be a rather large size] but anything smaller will eventually go away with enough buckets removed.
I do like the idea that rain would spawn finite water.
Maybe, if Djoslin will let me, I'll finally get off my butt and learn java enough to do an oil mod, using Djoslin's fluid code of course. :tongue.gif:
I haven't been able to reply to everyone today, I'll get around to it later.
Anyone is free to decompile my code to learn from, but I don't really want people rereleasing my code as something else. Trust me, oil is planned and probably going to be in v2. I was originally going to only make oil spawn in random pools, and you were going to have to process it to get water. I've gone a slightly different direction, but oil is definitely still planned. I wanna do a big oil spill and light it ablaze.
Everyone is requesting the ability to place items in water, I'm hoping that when you add it it will displace the water that is in that space causing it to be moved instead of destroyed.
if you mean notch making all water this way, no. In all due respect, minecrafts water is good the way it is now
If you mean by mod, then by all means go for it. But If they do implement the randomness of this mod, it could work for a freshwater source.
Many good things come from Sweden, like minecraft and.... umm.... did i alredy say minecraft?
if u put redstone in jukebox, will it play redzone?

Copper is the money of Peasants
Debt is the money of Slaves

because mine can not carry water far
Very nice work, djoslin. Very nice work indeed.

Notch has to find a way to intergrate this.
