Intro:
SMP servers don't last forever. Therefore, World Recorder allows you to save your SMP work so that you can have a backup. It will only record chunks that are loaded in your view, so visit everything you would like to save, and then hit the m key to write the save files. Remember to enable the recorder on in the multiplayer menu.

I realise that people can use this to map all of the server ores. In that case, antiXray from bukkit forums will prevent this mod from saving those ores.
Don't worry man, Im going to use this mod from now on. See I would have loved to have this tool a month ago because my favorite MCRP server died :sad.gif:. Anyway thanks! :biggrin.gif:
Awesome, I've always wanted a mod like this to exist, nice work :biggrin.gif:. I'll keep it handy for when I want to make use of some good designs in smp.
wow this is really great!
but do you have to press M on every new chunk you are on?
You shouldn't have to. Just visit everything man-made to get them downloaded. The natural parts of the world you don't have to visit because they can just be generated by the see client side. The spawn should be wherever you first entered the world with it on. Only press m before you're about to disconnect. There's still an issue with saving multiple times and I haven't gotten bug reports to fix them yet.
Truly, this is only good for servers with lazy admins.
(Then again....)
Most admins don't like to share their maps because they don't want people to map out the ores or steal the map for their own server (I don't encourage any of these). They might also be lazy and don't like sharing in general. With this mod you can have as many frequent backups as you want as well.
Does using this make it possible to get the seed for a multiplayer world? If so, I'll love you forever. I'm on this server that in itself isn't that great, but the world is AMAZING.

THEN how do you place it in SSP? Or if it saves all the chunks wont that take up ALOT of space and possibly be unleveled?
And singing of chorus,
down from the heavens,
descended Chuck Norris.
