I left my base to dig (very lucrative trip), and when i returned i found my auto-kiln like this. Apparently, the device was improperly saved when the chunk unloaded, as the piston is saved in both states.
What's weirder: i could destroy the extended piston (the arm) without destroying the piston itself.
Either the chunk unloaded at the worst imaginable moment, or one end is somehow in 1 chunk and the arm is in another.
I'm 35, have kids, watch them fight all the time. If the reason isn't narcissism or perceived intelligence thwarted then it is a basic misunderstanding. Replying to one of your supporters like you did is ignorant. And being that you respond to another supporter with a send me money now really paints your Guernica with a broad stroke of I'm a high maintenance creator of a mod that you should worship.
Take it easy man. I went out drinking last night, and the "send me money" post was middle of the night tongue-in-cheek humor.
Better Than Wolves remains one of the least monetized mods around, and up until very recently I was dead-set against monetizing the mod in any way. For those that know me then, such a blunt pan-handling post is humorous in that it's such a contradiction from my normal behavior.
As for Azorine, while he seems to be a supporter of the mod, he also seems to enjoy perpetuating the conflict around it, like the other day when he kept responding to a troll even after all that guy's posts had been deleted by a mod. In other words, he seems to enjoy stirring up trouble, and I think that "why can't we all get along?" post was just another example.
I am well aware of the perspective of my "enemies" and frankly found it rather insulting to receive such simplistic advice suggesting that must be the whole reason behind the conflict(s). "Try looking at things from their perspective" is not at all useful when a person's perspective is one of the things you hate about them.
To me, the people I really dislike within the community share a common thought process that goes along the lines of:
-I want something.
-That something is morally questionable.
-My desire trumps morality.
-I will engage in endless self-justification to try and convince others that I am morally justified to cover up that I just don't care enough to sacrifice something I want.
That's what I see when I look at things from their perspective, and I loathe it.
I've stated my reasons for disliking certain people/groups at length on different occasions, and have obviously thought that all through. Understanding is not always the be all and end all of conflict resolution, and I can do without unsolicited advice on the matter. Sometimes the more you know and understand someone, the more you wind up hating them.
Again, insisting that I address that further only creates more conflict. If you want everyone to get along, then just leave it alone.
Hey, would anyone know if the redstone/obsidian glitch is still operational in the current version of minecraft? All the videos of it I find are all older versions. I ask because since FC gave us a way to manufacture redstone, we could in essence now have infinite obsidian.(for whatever purpose you'd need infinite obsidian for...)
also, I was just watching battosay's video for a tree farm, and was wondering; didn't trees need a certain clearance? like a height and width clearance? Or did FC change things?
omg you all dont understand! i know how to install and i played the mod ALOT
my question is if there is an easy way to update my jar for the new version of BTW
without REinstalling all the jar and mods...
dont tell me about meta inf. its not a black screen problem. its just a question how to update my mod..
dude. use MC Patcher. Don't get all angry with us for not being of any help, you are not providing us with enough info. So naturally our help will be limited.
Take a chill pill, relax, download MC Patcher, and proceed from there. Honestly I don't know why ppl don't use MC Patcher to begin with. Makes installing mods a snap.
However, if what you say is true, if you want to update, you need to uninstall your current version of BTW and install the newest version. rather simple. If you keep having problems, then starting with a clean slate is the best idea.

It depends on which order you have things installed in. If BTW is the only other thing you have installed that has no shared classes with any other mods you have, just drag and replace the files in the updated version and delete the config file.
If not, you will have to force update and put back all your mods.

Because depending on your configuration, it is often easier to just copy files into the .jar than have to rely on another application.
I *only* install BTW for example, so using something like MC Patcher would just complicate the process.
Ah, I see. Well if you put it that way it makes more sense. Sorry bout that. I was a total noob with mods when I first learned of MC Patcher and it felt like a god-send. So I've used it ever since. That and I do enjoy using other minor mods with BTW like tree-capitator and such.(too lazy to climb trees, would rather build my secret underground factory instead)
EDIT: Thanks, I looked through some posts and found a changelog that you posted about hemp textures.
The other good source for that kind of info is the readme that is included with the mod download. The change log that's in there covers every release that has ever happened for the mod.

Hey guys, I've actually been kinda interested in making a video of my minecraft world, but I lack proper resources to do so. Do any of you have some good ideas where I can get some good video recording softwear for free? I know most ppl use fraps, but you have to pay to get the full version. This is no guarantee that I'll actually get anything recorded. Also, how would I use a mic to record my voice?(although I'm sure all of you would rather not listen to my ramblings.)

I used the trial version of Fraps for all the mod's videos. The only limitation is that you are restricted to recording 30 second clips. I personally find that it's extremely difficult to record for longer without making errors, so it suited me just fine, and I just used Windows' built-in video editing software to stitch the clips together.
If you're on a budget, it might be a viable solution.
did you perhaps install forge?

It's a pain for me, at least >_>
I'd rather go about doing it manually.

EDIT: I am not going to wade through 1000+ pages of comments to see if this has been answered.
That's why the Minecraft gods invented the "search" feature.
whoops, so sorry *derp*

A couple blocks do that.
