It seems that, when I install this mod (with modloader, just placing it in the mods folder), nothing happens. Any help you can provide? I'll post the .txt if you want.
as stated in the installation readme of BTW, you can NOT use the method of dropping it into the mod folder, as it modifies base minecraft classes. You have to install it manually, by opening the minecraft .jar, deleting Meta-INV folder, and dropping in the "minecraft-JAR" folders and files in there. (not the actual "minecraft-JAR" file itself, but the contents of it)
-Changed Blood Wood logs to craft into reddish planks (same as jungle trees).
-Changed the Saw to output planks of the appropriate color when cutting logs.
-Removed Mojang's new code for saving and loading the sit state of pets, as it was bugged and caused wolves to stand up when they weren't supposed to on chunk load. I've reverted it back to the way it previously was, in which pets would always be sitting on load to fix this.
-Removed all trace of the juicy stuff I'm working on for the April 10th release, so don't bother looking
I have an issue with getting texture pack to work w. this mod (KOP 256x). I can get this mod to work but after i want to enable my texture pack, which i need to run MCPatcher, the mod gets disabled while the texture pack gets enabled, I'm using MCPatcher 2.3.5. I think i tried every possible combination while installing. I MCpatched first then installed ModLoader & BTW which gives me a black screen. Installing ModLoader, BTW, and then running MCPatcher makes the game work w. the texture pack but BTW becomes disabled (i can't craft any of the content from this mod) is how i determined that.
Is it possible to use this mod w. texture pack?
I fixed it, after installing mods, copy the .bin & rename it minecraft-1.2.4 then run mcpatcher, problem fixed.
I remember a day when I thought this mod sucked... back then I used Industrial Craft.. then i seen that video interview thing you did.. and i thought Jet packs in minecraft... that doesn't make sense, so i downloaded this mod and always used it since.

To my understanding, MC Patcher bases its HD patch modifications on the backup jar that it creates the first time you start MC Patcher with a each version of Minecraft. So if you need to install mods manually and all else fails, the best solution is to install all your mods first, DELETE or RENAME the file called minecraft-1.2.4.jar that's in bin, and THEN open MC Patcher and do the HD fix. It will create a new minecraft-1.2.4.jar that has your mods already installed, and it will use that when you patch.
It's unfortunate that most forum members seem to be too derp to figure out how to use Magic Launcher. Compared to MC Patcher and its arcane patching process, I can't recommend Optifine and ML enough.
