Personally won't use sorry but some of the ideas like different types of detector rails, cauldrons and such are really good ideas that SHOULD be added to minecraft!
Hm, it seems that your xg.class is conflicting with the xg.class of xies farming mod. Is there anyway to fix this or is it one or the other, because it would be really cool having a giant farm with water mills and stuff. Other than that, one of the greatest mods.
It's all good man the "improved water wheel" was a serious idea though but sadly I can't go into full detail fir reasons I'd explain in a pm if your inbox wasn't full 0.o
Fixed. Destruction of informaton is a beautiful thing

Yup, others have discovered that you can overwrite my xg.class with Xie's. The only effect is that the Hibachi won't work quite right (it'll sputter periodically), so keep that in mind if you use it.
And thanks man! Glad you're enjoying it!

Darn it. It appears I've been promoted to a Diamond Miner forum member. I would have much rather have stayed a Redstone Miner indefinitely
Flower, would it be possible to splice your class file with another mod's class file? Like open them both and copy the bits from your mod into another class file or would that be too much work for someone that has 0 programing experience?

Yikes. Man, I wouldn't want to do that myself and I do have a bit of programming experience
The big problem is that you'll be forced to work directly in the obfuscated code, and basically deal with three seperate files.
You'd need the original class file, the one for the other mod, and the one for Better Than Wolves. You'd then need to compare the three, sort out what changes what, and merge them appropriately.
Top that off with you'd have to do the whole thing all over again whenever you wanted to update the main game, or either of the two mods (and I tend to release updates every few days).
So yeah, with zero programming experience, I'd probably opt to ask me or the other guy if there was something we could do to resolve our particular conflict. I'm pretty open to such suggestions, like I already talked with Xie at length about the conflict between our two mod's use of the fire class.
The sad part is that you can't pet your wolf to show it how much you love it. I, however, can pet my Companion Cube whenever I like, and often do as demonstrated in the videos.
I obviously like my Companion Cube way more than you like your wolf considering how you are denying it affection in this way. How do you think your wolf feels never getting touched as a sign of approval? The best you can manage is punching it in the face or smacking it with a shovel.
About the hemp: I didn't think it needed to be in the OP, because its a plant-able crop... and since its plant-able and wheat is plant-able, and you get wheat from hoeing grass... its just a simple logical train of thought.
OK: I have yet to look at any tutorials so far on how to do the programming for minecraft, however, if any moders out there want to help, I have netbeans IDE for my java programming I do on the robot.
QUESTION: Will waterwheels be able to power multiple objects in updates?
QUESTION: How many of you are ending up with so much nethercoal that you have to make a separate large chest, just for it.

Hehe...I agree with you man, and you'll notice that most (if not all) regular users of this mod figured that out without it ever appearing in the OP.
However, anything that I can do in the OP to minimize the number of redundant questions that plague this thread is probably a good thing

Personally, I use Eclipse as an IDE, and there's a tutorial on that page for setting it up to work properly with MCP. No idea what would be involved with netbeans (I've never used it).
There are also several basic tutorials on that page that are IMO of higher quality than what you will find elsewhere.
Note that the newest version of MCP doesn't have a readme with it yet on how to install, so feel free to ask if you run into any trouble.

QUESTION: Will waterwheels be able to power multiple objects in updates?
They already can, can't they? You can split the power from one using a gear-box (which has outputs for axles on every side except the one for input), and then run those axles to various devices. I'm almost 100% certain this works at present, and judging from the factory pics that Battosay posted, I'm pretty sure he's been using that concept too.

QUESTION: How awesome is this mod?
Hehe...I'll leave that for others to answer, but thanks for the implied compliment
1) if you mean more then one millstone at a time then yes it totally can do that right now as for any future blocks im almost 100% certain thats a yes
Oh yeah, most definitely. Different blocks powered mechanically are likely to have different input requirements (like the mill only accepting power from top and bottom) based on their logical layout, but without a doubt, all will be able to be powered in this manner.
Once you have a single mechanical "installation" setup, you can power as many devices as you want off of it. This is kinda like redstone, but obviously the setup is much more elaborate and demanding on the player than simply placing a redstone torch.

3)i wouldnt call this mod awesome man. IT'S GOD LIKE!!!!!
Lol! Thanks dude. Gratuitous worship is always appreciated
EDIT: As a totally random aside, I'm still chuckling over how I managed to sync the line "always stroking my own wookie..." in the song I used in the new Hibachi vid with my petting of the Companion Cube.
That was a huge coincidence in all honesty, but I cracked up laughing when it happened and made sure I kept the timing of that moment while editing the rest of the vid.
Anyways, was just wondering if anyone had noticed it
EDIT 2: Oh yeah, and another laugh comes immediately after when I power the Cauldron in time with the line "But you can call me cookie..."
make a wolf wheel made from companyoun cubess as a replansminbt for the water weel
Hehe...nah. As I've said before, I do *little* wolf features here and there just for a laugh, but I devote any real amounts of time to real features
-------------------
Just a quick heads up guys, I've planned out and begun working on the feature list for the next version (just a small incremental release to tie up some loose ends...2.02), and one of the upcoming changes you might want to be aware of in your designs is that the Detector Block is going to be modified slightly.
*If* it is facing upwards, it will trigger as the result of precipitation (rain or snow). This change will become significant in a future release that I'm laying the groundwork for.
Anyways, keep it in mind if you're using Detector Blocks outdoors

GENERATION 20: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.
A mechanically powered elevator would be nice, attach an anchor to the top of a block with some rope then run that rope to a mechanical thinger that will retract the rope pulling the anchored block up with it when it receives power from an axle and letting it down when it doesn't have power.
Also thanks for straightening me out on the frankenclassing... some things men are not meant to mettle with... like those

Good work and keep it up :smile.gif:
Get Some.
Hemp seeds have drop rates that vary with the hoe, the better the hoe you use, the more seeds you'll find.
Hm, I think FlowerChild is gonna have to add that to the OP. More than a few players are wondering how to acquire hemp.
Better Than Wolves Mod WARNING: May cause addiction and/or skull detonation. Handle with care.
The download rate on the mod more than doubled, and the Mill video received over 3K views, so I consider the whole venture to be a success
Now that the Moderators have burried my beta-survival thread where nobody will ever see it, I can go back to modding as usual
Fixed. Destruction of informaton is a beautiful thing
Damn, I thought that was in the OP
Will fix momentarily. Thanks for pointing it out.

Then I think your wolf is abnormally awesome. Because mine is pretty lame compared to even a single feature of this mod. But it's all opinion I guess.
Welcome to the forums, by the way.

Yup, exactly, although as I said, it will have some practical uses beyond that, that will become evident in an upcoming release.
Already on my todo list for the next incremental release. It's really a very minor thing to fix.
