Don't worry about that too much, I was in the same boat not too long ago. If you need help, the original post gives a description of the tech tree in order. If you cant figure something out, battosay has YouTube videos that explain pretty much everything. Keep at it, you'll enjoy it.
Also watching Battosay's videos helps a ton. They've given me countless ideas on what I could make (IE: His bridge video with pullies/platforms etc)
you can always just have a BetterThanWolves Jar, and an AllOtherMods Jar... the mod DOES play best without any other interfering tech trees, so it isn't realy "BTW vs every other mods"
plenty of other modders have said they don't care about compaltibilty
ever heard of the saying two are better than one (especially if both are of high quality)
also i really don't want to feel torn apart between two versions of minecraft always mistaking some possibilities that only the other version has and feeling the frustration all over again
and for the plenty of other modders give me the list and their success rate.

You're really persistent, aren't you? :\
If you're really having that much trouble remembering which is which, why not put them into different .rars that you can unzip whenever you want to change?
Either way, though, I feel like you're just dragging out this argument just for the hell of it.
why do i have the millenaire mod with this mod? I forced update to get rid of any mods then i put modloader into my minecraft jar then this mod into it and then i put in tomanyitems and i enter the game to have all of these and millenaire?

isn't Millenaire a mod that you put in it's own folder and modloader adds it to the game? (Much like buildcraft) Try finding the folder the mod is actually in and deleting it, since It shouldn't be related to the jar at all.

Great Mod so far!(Playing single player with it to the End)
If you take suggestions, I have somethings you could add:
Glaze, Plain old donuts can get boring after awhile... So why not make them sweet?
Glaze can be made by Placing sugar cane in the Mill, Place Glaze and donuts in the crafting or workbench to make colorful Glazed donuts that restore 1 and a half food points.
anyway I'm tired of this argument and its my last post allowed for today so ill say this:
i have made my statement, achieved the raise the discussion\argument achievement (lol)
so feel free to trash.

Alright, So i wanna touch up on some things you've said, i wont quote all your posts as its unnecessary.
what it shows is that at some point your mod will be forgotten while other user/mod friendly mods or mod packs will keep getting more and more popular and used.
Aha, this argument is used often, And what facts do you have to rely on this, that a mod pack creator stated so? who has posted his OWN egotistical thoughts on the matter? Your posts don't raise the discussion because you are solely basing your statements on opinion, I for one will continue to play this mod were-ever it goes, I'm sure a lot agree with me. Mod's aren't about popularity, its about a community sharing there creations with others that they(in this case Flowerchild) created and at their discretion, decided to share.
i really can't understand your point, making a mod compatible with other mods or post-able on more sites(as you call it copyrighting) is a great way of advertisement like youtube showcase so by making you'r mod incompatible you actually only hurting yourself and your mod.
Advertisment? I wasn't aware mods were products, last time i checked they were user generated content shared with the community by a modder who, in fact, didn't have to share his creation at all. Mods are meant to be a creation shared with others who like the ideas of the modder, compatibility is their choice, and if you cant live without compatibility with your other 3498394 mods, then move on, this mod obviously isn't for you.
We as Mod users Are NOT entitled to ANYTHING, Maybe FC is being selfish, but you know what? Its because he made this mod, he created it, He has full ownership to it. and whatever he decides(wither that's effected by the community or his own ideals) we either have to 1. accept the fact and see the reasoning behind it, and make a very detailed CONSTRUCTIVE criticism about it if you disagree and be able to live with the fact that it might be dismissed, Or 2. Miss out on a great mod because of you're inability to adapt to change.
I'm a little bit confused and almost half stupid, so it'd be exceedingly nice if someone could explain a couple things to me:
Now that cauldrons are actually in the game, what happens now? I mean, I know the vanilla cauldrons are utterly useless, but it doesn't crash the game to have both or anything like that, right? Or does the mod delete the vanilla cauldrons?
Also, how does this impact my SMP? Do I have to uninstall every time I play on a server?

The cauldrons have different recipes and he did fix it to where they didn't conflict with each other, so you can in fact have both out without issues
as for SMP, it wont effect it at all since you wont be able to make the stuff for BTW in there (I'm pretty sure the recipes wont even pop up in the workbench

Did you install modloader first? If you can install modloader, you can install BTW, it's basically the same process except you want to move the folders in the MINECRAFT_JAR folder into the minecraft.jar file.
Download the file for BTW, extract it into another folder, copy the files from the MINECRAFT_JAR folder, and paste them into the minecraft.jar file within the bin folder. If you do that exactly, it'll work.
ok dude sorry if yo read the post already but i was one of those dumb annoying people who doesnt read the whole post someone says and starts screaming at them for no reason
i still cant get it to work AT ALL and i dont mean install like i said i cant get the file open. Please help i keep trying but it wont work im so confused because it has worked for me for 3 months and now it doesnt.
Okay.. Yet again I wiped my laptop of everything Minecraft. Then I downloaded Minecraft. Then I deleted META-INF. Then I downloaded Risugami's ModLoader. Then I installed Risugami's ModLoader by copying all of the files into my minecraft.jar bin. Then I downloaded better than wolves. Then I copied all files (except readme.txt) from the BTW folded into my minecraft.jar bin. Then I opened minecraft. Then I made a world named 'Better than Wolves' with the seed 'Better than Wolves'. Then I chopped three wood. Then I made 12 Wooden planks. Then I made a crafting table. Then I made 8 sticks. Then I placed my sticks and planks in the arrangement shown in the OP for a gear. Then I came back here and tried my best not to rage about how this mod, yet again, doesn't work for me. I'm pretty sure that it's going to end up being my fault, I just can't see how. I don't have ANY mods installed, other than the two mentioned here. I've seen some people saying to show the modloader.txt or something. I have no such file. Is it something else? Does it have a different name or file type? I'd like to get to the bottom of this...
Funny you single out readme.txt. You should read it. You don't put *everything* in minecraft.jar.
sorry if this is a double post.
please help, it is still not working. by not working i mean it isnt even opening. The file wont open and i dont know why. I have winrar and trust me i have done this for a LONG time. I teach others how to install mods and now it isnt even opening for me. I dont know what happened but please help. Thank you and sorry for bugging.

Have you tried redownloading it? Sounds like you have a corrupted file or something.

I've heard that BTW does not work with SPC. Although it does in fact work with TMI.
