You don't grant redistribution rights to this mod, even for mod packs? This would be so awesome in the yogbox :/
No, it wouldn't be. Then people would bother him about making it compatible with other mods. It's not his job to make it work with other mods and he doesnt want to waste his time giving his work to people who are ungrateful in the first place.
this looks like it "could" be good, if he wasn't such an idoit
about his copyright.
Heres a tip,
if you fall off a cliff and someone pulls you up don't yell
"**** NO" kick them off the cliff then jump back down.
To anyone who may want to know, if installing this mod on 1.7.3, it will crash Minecraft on the Saving Chunks... screen if you try to load a world. I know this mod is only for 1.7.2 and below, but I was curious if it worked on 1.7.3.
You answered your question yourself, like you said, "this mod is only for 1.7.2 and below", so no, it will not work for 1.7.3
You know what would be even better than people stopping talking about it?
If he would put an impossible to miss "current status" in relation to the current version at the top of the first post (like released, updating, or waiting for next version), it's not reasonable to believe everyone is bothering reading the posts in a 525 page long thread, everyone is however looking for the information on the first post.
Don't blame the noobs for a problem that would take 20 seconds to fix, it should be in his interest keeping his thread clean.
Great looking mod btw, i'll test it once a 1.7.3 version is out.
Hmm... the thread title says "[1.7.2]", yet people have a hard time reading that.
Face it, no matter what information is put in the OP, no matter what colors or font sizes, there's no shortage of idiots that will ignore it.
The mod is okay, lol. It's extremely hard to obtain anything due to how hard it is to grow hemp, and even trying to edit your inventory the indexes for the items are screwed up. I think they're about 220 more than it says in the configuration file. I really enjoy the look of the wind mill and water mill, they were very well made.
I love the mod, I just think it needs some decent suggestions.
Hmm, i took the modloader classes, put them in minecraft.jar using winRAR, i then put the files from the MINECRAFT-JAR file into the minecraft.jar file as well, i'm guessing the BTWconfig.txt goes in the .minecraft folder? if i did this right, why did it break minecraft? i started on a completely clean bin, is there a certain texture we're supposed to use? if i did something wrong, don't be an ass and scream at me, so what did i do wrong?
actually i DONT have a hard time reading it, usually mods still work if its not a huge update like 1.7
From the Official Minecraft Wiki:
For example, a mod that edits a .class file of version 1.5 will not be compatible with either 1.4 or 1.6. A notable exception to this is 1.6.5 and 1.6.6, where mods for either one are co-compatible
Note the "notable exception" part. The fact that 1.6.5->1.6.6 is an EXCEPTION, means that in most cases, 1.x.Y->1.x.Z will not work.

To find actual item ids you add 256 to the number he gives.
