Ok here is my complete sentance. The Items are installed and work such as the detector which if i walk next to it it activates but the custom textures are not showing up, just purple squares. I suse the normal texturepack and hasn't been HD patched.
Make sure you also included the btwmodtex folder in your minecraft.jar.
So, I have zero skill in coding. The last programming class I took was in my senior year of high school (wow, that was almost 10 years ago). How does MCP (Minecraft Coder Pack I assume) factor into everything here? I don't understand why "modders" have to wait for MCP to update. I've been to their wiki, but it isn't really for beginners and it seems like it is largely tutorials.
Very off Topic:
Holy crap! I took my last programming class back when we used 3.5" floppies to save data. Weren't they 2.5MB? None of these new-fangled flash drives and whatnot. If your under fifteen you probably don't remember floppy discs.
This...all of this...is just....wonky!

MCP is god when it comes to modding, the pack includes what modders need to decompile, recompile, reobfuscate, and deobfuscate all of minecrafts code.
So no MCP update = No one can touch minecrafts code, not easily anyway.

When I first started using computers in school we used floppys, I always had the see-through colored ones because I was just cool like that : D

...please tell me that boat elevators are viable again. (Guessing not though)
Also, looks like this will be the last update version for a while (ie. no more updates until after E3. Provided no major bugs are introduced I suppose.)
YES!
Water elevators are now viable again.
Just tested it.
Also glowstone now gives 4 dust and can be crafted using 4 dust win much?
W00t bonemeal now makes long grass grow with a chance of planting flowers.
EDIT: Reinstalled BTW just to see if it would work, no issues so far BTW is working fine for me.
Still testing.
Alright after going through all aspects of the mod only two issues, the waterwheel is now not peaceable and ropes no longer climbable.
Sweet, I can update from 1.5_01 now \o/
12 worlds all in all.
7 worlds are in active use (various mods used in different worlds and two worlds for testing mechanics and new ideas with redstone and/or water).
6 worlds rely on water elevators with no other (feasible) method of getting up.
->Working water elevators = Happy joy joy
Yeah they work you just have to obey the new "rules" of water.
For instance you cannot have a block beside the vertical water stream, or the boat wont rise.
Flower, I just had an idea, not sure how possible it is to implement.
A craft-able trough block (made from panels) that continues the state of water fist placed on it. Just an interesting mechanic I thought of.
Edit: The panels seem to not be wood or stone :blink.gif:
same time for each respective tool, and my ax lost its last red speck of health and broke while removing a pannel.
Why do I feel like the only 15 year old programmer here? (of course, it is MINIMAL experience, but enough to program a robot to .... FIRST ROBOTICS, I'm to lazy to explain this years game)
Anyway: Automated mining SHOULD be a ways away. HOWEVER: Some form of chisel would be cool, instantly extract the ore, but still have to mine the stone thats left behind away. And then you can use that on the corners and such for stone :biggrin.gif:
In all seriousness, how many of you don't feel like playing minecraft without BTW?
I suppose Flower might be asleep or something similar. Have patience grasshopper :wink.gif:
I'm not a ninja.
I'm a robot :biggrin.gif:
Anyway, I am attempting to go back to 1.5.1 and get Industrial craft, BTW, and BuildCraft all to work together.... downside.. EVERY link I try to download Industrial craft... It isn't a download link!!
I give up on the compatability... unless someone makes an 'even MORE item Id's' mod, were toast for these three. industrialcraft has TOOOOO MANNNYYYY items in its ID list... most are incompatible, lest I drop the BTW mod down.

At least 5 people asked that exact same question yesterday, and got answered in full.
but i thought flower didn't do aesthetics?? I'm so confused :S
No, I just don't want people asking me for aesthetic modifications. Big difference
If something is easy to do for me, fills a real in-game need, and fits the rest of the functionality of the mod (as these guys most definitely do with the saw), then I really don't have any rules governing what I'm willing to put in.
I can't believe i have been missing out on this! I was getting so pissed with what was being added to the game, so glad you have added on what should be in the official minecraft development. Who the hell wants a wolf that just gets stuck on rocks every 10 blocks you walk. I'm going to have a hard time remembering the crafting recipes, but i am so looking forward to this. Think you sir, you just relit my minecraft passion!
You're welcome man, and thank you for the glowing review!
Thanks so much for doing this man! No way I have the time to work on something like this, but I'm happy to have it around. I haven't read it over yet, but mind if I link it in the OP if it all checks out?
My Vic-20 had a tape drive man....and here if I roll up my left sleeve you can see the scars from where a wolf swallowed my arm up to the elbow before I ripped his still-beating heart out through his throat...
The title is explaining that your mod is better than the 1.5 mod Notch implemented, because it actually added new items, while the current "updates" are merely bug fixes, though there are many still left untouched, and one or two things added, just to suffice the complainers on terms of new content. He should've added these things long ago, like your corner, molding, and what not, I LOVE those, So many times I wished to do the same with half steps, but upside down, and couldn't because of the way he has that items set up, it's very annoying. Great mod, love it.

This latest version adds one of those rare aesthetic mods :| which is wooden 1/4 and 1/8 blocks :biggrin.gif:

Well done. I'll put my super compact recipe sheet here too, as an additional option.
It's not as complete as your page though.
Edit: Does the code obfuscation remain the same for small updates like 1.6.5 & 1.6.6?
(Guess who's attempting to learn modding again. ^^)
Better Than Wolves Mod WARNING: May cause addiction and/or skull detonation. Handle with care.
No he changed his mind about that feature.
Support the Aether Mod!
ah, thanks for the clarification :smile.gif:

Depends.
Do you mean like a programmer with 15 years of experience or
like a 15 years old that happens to be a programmer? :tongue.gif:

15 year old thats a programmer... sorry for the unclarity ;/

So for now, I'll keep them in seprate jars...
It's just temporary, but I thought it appropriate given the latest release

Honestly, I have no frigging idea given this is the first time I've done one of these small updates. Guess I'm about to find out
