Alright, I respect that , ill just make my clock have a quick pulse to spit it back out then. Cant they spit out items if mechanically powered?
No, I dropped that idea when I decided to implement the Saw. The whole intent there was to provide a specialized device to harvest wood and other vegetation instead of overcomplicating the BD with additional functionality.
And with that: the whole reason I was considering ejecting the inventory with mechanical power is that *I didn't know you guys already had the ability to destroy blocks and drop them as items*.
Anyways, **** this. I think I'm done with the mod for the weekend. Apparently I can't take a **** around here without pissing someone off, so enjoy yourselves.
FlowerChild, what mods do you use in your main worlds? I have to completely start over so I'm looking for mods that are like this one, ones that just extend the vanilla game and feel like the vanilla game. So no more BuildCraft, MineFactory, Airship, my mods, etc. So far I know I'll use BTW and part of Pfaeff's mod, and I'm looking for more.

Ahh, ok that makes sense. Question then, down the tech tree road could there be something to "harvests" stone in the same way that the saw "harvests" wood?

hey dude, i know you're pissed, but don't worry I respect your decisions to make sure everything in your mod works the way you want it to work. Everyone is just upset because they were exploiting a bug and now they have to play "legit".
Everything ever made that has bugs gets the same reaction. Someone out there will always be exploiting it and will always be upset when it's squashed.
but once its gone, the huffy-puffy people get over it and forget it ever existed.
(for example, glitch boosters is the easiest)
Take some time off man, you deserve it. Build some cool **** in MC for a while lol, or go play some RTS :wink.gif:

Hey, I'd just like to say that this is one of the top mods on the site, and I think you're a pretty cool guy, you make awesome minecraft mods and don't afraid of anything. I have a wolf and i named it after you, I have it riding around on my elaborate roller coaster going on infinitely, with contraptions from your mod. :smile.gif:
The new pulley system looks awesome, however i have one question. Is it possible to make a solid looking Platform or a Platform out of different material. because i want to make a door to my castle but the current look of the platform won't work with it i just do not like the space in it and wish it were solid. Thanks.

Maybe add a way to cover a platform with paper? And color the paper covered platform using dyes/dung. Paper is lightweight, it needs a use, and it would add to the usefulness of pulleys/platforms.

yeh, well put. I agree flower in all honesty it did feel like a bug.
Just wanted to apologize for blowing-up like that guys. I've taken some time to cool down and think it over, and realized it really has nothing to do with the topic at hand.
I mentioned yesterday that I was still pissed off about the way things went the day when I released Pullies and Platforms a short while ago, but I do not think I even realized how pissed off I actually was.
I've literally invested hundreds of hours into this mod, getting it to the point where that system was possible. As such, it was a moment of personal triumph for me to release that after an extended coding marathon.
I was in quite a celebratory mood when I put it out, satisfied at a job well done, while at the same time I knew it still needed some work to be 100% perfect. What was there was working well though, and I didn't see any issues so severe that it would stop me from releasing it to you guys.
So anyways, the next morning I woke up in a jubilant mood having accomplished what I don't believe any other modder has with Minecraft, and looking forward to seeing what people had to say.
There were indeed a lot of good things said, but I think that largely got lost on me when I was confronted with posts calling the mod buggy, the majority of the features in the mod dysfunctional and/or useless, and then finally had the cherry put on the cake by some punk kid calling me an alcoholic.
I've been in a horribly foul mood since, having had a moment of personal triumph that I had been working towards for at least a month now turn very sour on me in record time by the actions of a handful of total retards.
BUT, having said all that, I do want to apologize for my outburst there. Whatever mounting frustrations I have been feeling, it is definitely wrong for me to be directing that at the community at large, and particularly at core members of that community.
It really has nothing to do with you guys, and everything to do with my state of mind with regards to the mod since the day I described above.
Anyways, I will continue to try and take it easy this weekend to recharge my batteries, as I'm obviously still running on fumes here, but just wanted to let you guys know that I certainly have no ill-will towards the vast majority of you, and that I am sorry for misdirecting my anger.

EDIT: Or cloth....
I believe that falls under aesthetic, and will be ignored.

The first line of the error report describes your problem nicely. Try reinstalling.
I do like taking advantage of the block dispenser bug for a cobble factory, and it's the reason I haven't downloaded the update yet. I have an idea that will improve balance and bring back the cobble factory that everyone misses due to this update.
Make a diamond saw. It's crafted the same as a saw, but the middle iron ingot is replaced with a diamond. This is realistic, since diamond tools are used for masonry (for cutting and drilling stone). Also, you said you needed a way aside from the mill to make stone slabs. When a cobblestone block is cut, it makes 2 slabs, slab makes 2 moulding, etc. The way this can be used for the factory is, when 2 slabs are put in the crafting grin above each other, it makes cobblestone. This makes the factory possible glitch free, as well as making it a bit more balanced since there will be more steps to get the cobblestone. This will shut some people up as well as solving a problem you said has been pending for a while. You might also be able to use it to make metal (Iron and Gold) slabs.
A little bonus as well, you might be able to use it to cut/grind down glass to make a smaller peice of glass. That glass can then be combined with sticks, metal/stone/wood slabs to make framed windows.
Edit: Also can possibly be used to collect obsidian but it will take 10 seconds or so.

I haven't released a version with the change man. You're avoiding updating for nothing

No. I said that the proper method for making the slabs isn't in the mod yet. I know precisely what it is.
Well, i got a error when activating a pulley. The strange thing is that yesterday it was working, and i didn't changed
anything ( i guess )
Anyways theres the error:

It isn't a diamond saw.
I must have missed a few posts. I thought it was in the current change. Also, didn't you say stone slabs were made by putting stone in a millstone and you were thinking of a better way to do it?

I'm using:
Buildcraft
Ethereal's Elevator
Industrialcraft
Plasticcraft
I edited the IDs but I just get a black screen.
