It will autoharvest the hemp then spit it out before harvesting the next piece, so setup a water canal to collect it all.
Here's some pics of your compact setup put into action, im layering straight up if it doesnt make sense by looking at the pics. The second level's water is on top of glass blocks to try to show how its layered to fall into the same stream etc. 16 plants right now
I thought it came out nice :smile.gif:
edit: oh and nothing gets stuck anywhere, except sometimes the harvesting BD shoots it past the water (figured 3 water streams would be wide enough but apparently not always) and it lands on the other plants, if i happen to be around i can pick it up and throw it in the water. Other than that nothing gets stuck around the mill or water wheel, which surprised me lol
This...all of this...is just....wonky!

Eh. I don't generally put in aesthetic features, but I figured since I had the panels in, I may as well finish the job.
You sell out!! You fought for so long and then you just break!! How much did they pay you!?!? I put so much faith in you and you go and give in :sad.gif:
Nah I'm just kidding :tongue.gif: will help my more mundane structures look pretty so it's appreciated. I assume they come in the usually smooth stone and plank variety?

To stop the occasional hemp landing on the other side just add a wall in the middle. From my experiments items don't bounce so once it hits a block they will just fall straight down.

Good idea reversing the mechanism to put them side by side, also if your having trouble with it shooting too far put a block 2 spaces in front of the BD so it hits it and drops into the stream.

Decided to remake my underground farm with the light above it, it works now, thanks for all the help guys. BTW, this is a really awesome mod, just thought you should know.

Hehe...as I said, the "no aesthetic features" rule is to stop people bugging me for them. If I see a need, and it's easy to do, I just do them anyways
It only took me a few hours, and I think you'll agree it fleshes out the saw nicely as a feature. I had originally planned on releasing these with the saw, but as I said, I wanted to get that version out the day 1.6 was released, and knew this would take me more time than I had back then.

Same here man. I kept building sluices out of wood panels to channel my water-flows (like the one you see coming out of my mob trap in my videos), and was getting annoyed by the jagged corners.
And as I've repeatedly demonstrated, when I get annoyed by something in the game, well, I just fix it

Nope, just wood this time. Steve does not currently have the tools necessary to work with stone at that level of detail
It'll come, but I don't want to assign any more wonky temporary recipes to the Mill Stone like I did with the Omni-Slab. People get to keep their stone Panels, but I'm not putting in the additional stone features until they get the right tools. It's a 5 minue job for me when that happens.
Think of it as having something to look forward to as you advance in technology

i was thinking "damn i wish i had corners for the omni-slabs" just as I was building my hemp farm today, they were really pushing my OCD of clean corners lol. I replace a bunch of the slabs with regular block when it really started bugging me.
wish pistons would update to 1.6 already so i can hop into new BTW features :smile.gif:
Do I see another advertisement scheme in the works? Maybe hitting up a picture thread or two? If not I think I may just do that
Hehe...go for it man. I'm probably not going to do anything like that with this one, as I do consider it just an incremental improvement on the Panels, and there are much bigger things coming

Lol! I know exactly what you mean man. I think all Minecraft players have a bit of OCD going on
Hmm actually I may not do that advertisement. After some thinking it would bring in alot of panel/corner/moulding'aboos asking everyday for more varieties. Yea probably better to wait till you flesh it out however far your going to go with them.
As for steves technology level all he'd need is a hammer and chisel to achieve that end but that's just not cool enough for your mod is it :tongue.gif:
idea Explosive Charges: would work along with TNT. The charges would allow for a more controlled mass explosion. Once a charge receives the explode command (redstone or a fuse if you make them) it instantly sets off the TNT with no countdown. Would stop that crazy bouncing around effect of lots TNT going off. Would make mass mining more feasible as well :wink.gif: especially if you blast a large shaft from the bottom up. All items falling into a large water flow carrying them all to a waiting hopper.

Would be the same situation, with normal tnt if you wire it so the signal reaches all tnt at the same time it will detonate at the same time albeit a bit delayed.
-Reduced drag on carts without riders. This effectively increases the distance such a cart can travel without losing speed from 6 blocks between powered rails, to 12 blocks.
-Increased the hardness of Panels.
-Added the ability for the saw to cut Panels into Moulding, and Moulding into Corners.
-Fixed Saw to not be able to be powered from the direction in which its blade is facing.
-Added the ability for the Saw to process Sugar Cane, Wheat, and Hemp.

Lol! Something like that
Let's put it this way, as you noticed, there are a lot of "Panelaboos" being attracted to this mod.
Well, what I'm doing is "baiting" them. They come for the panels/corners/cement whatever, which I wave in front of them like a shiney little trinket.
But then, they realize they have to build a complex machine to get it. Damn it. But "shiney shiney!"
So, they build their first machine, get their toy at the bottom of the cereal box, stand back, and suddenly realize "holy crap! This mechanical stuff is cool!"
As I've said before, I think redstone is one of the coolest aspects of Minecraft. However, it got slapped in, and there were very few cool things you could do with it immediately. You had to have a certain understanding of digital electronics to begin with to even see the potential in it.
But if you don't have that, all you see is that you can play a single note. You can boost a minecart. You can open a door. Big frigging deal.
Not much incentive to play around with it and discover the really cool stuff, you dig?
Well, I don't want the same thing happening to the mechanical system. It's complicated (for casual players anyways), it's daunting, and I want to make sure I'm holding out plenty of candy for people to explore it so they discover the fun in it (and maybe start exploring redstone along the way to boot).
So far, I think I'm not doing a bad job of it
The water wheel itself was the first big piece of candy of that kind man. It's cool enough in itself that people want it in their world. It was no accident that it was the first real feature I introduced the mechanical system with.
Would be the same situation, with normal tnt if you wire it so the signal reaches all tnt at the same time it will detonate at the same time albeit a bit delayed.
The charge idea is to force an instant explosion with no count down. So instead of ignition 1,2,3 then boom. it would be ingi-boom instead.

Well, that is just impressive! No, never mind. That is rediculously cool!
Moulding! Corners! Aww, you do want more aesthetics. You don't have to be coy with us.

I still haven't decided about that one man. It's not hard to do, but I may or may not include it depending on what my mulling it over produces
I generally don't like to rush into things like that man. It will definitely change the way mechical devices are structured.
The charge idea is to force an instant explosion with no count down. So instead of ignition 1,2,3 then boom. it would be ingi-boom instead.
Well the point you originally brought up was to prevent it from flying all over the place.
Even if its 1,2,3 boom they will all detonate within milliseconds of each other causing them to stay in reasonably the same position.
It takes about a second and a half for tnt to detonate, to make a mod just to make it instant is a bit..
