suggest: nerf the enchantment of regular bow (i thing that could be bad and too hard) OR making your bow enchantable with fire/punch (better option :biggrin.gif: )
That's a given. I always update the mod first just to get it working with new releases of Minecraft, then I slowly adapt it to any new functionality that is provided with those releases.
Oh, and kudos to FC for having arrows break vases. When I get around to doing it, I plan to make a sharpshooting range using vases and the Lapis Eye blocks (buddy/detector blocks).

i am having problems with the latest release of BTW. i installed modloader, delete meta-inf and started up minecraft, it ran fine. after that, i installed BTW by dumping everything from the "minecraft-jar" file into the "minecraft.jar" file but when i tried to run it, i got a screen saying "updating minecraft, done loading" and a progress bar that was not completely done but never moves.

You're installing the version of BTW for Minecraft 1.0, not 1.1. Download the proper file from the OP.
BTW guys, if you ever wonder why I don't post links to old versions of the mod...here's your answer.

I am getting the copy of BTW from the OP, (this is copied from the readme of BTW (Compatible with Minecraft Version 1.1.0))
I am using the right version of modloader, a new version of jzip, a new and clean version of minecraft and I'm still getting error reports. I know how to install mods, and I know that I'm doing it correctly. I do enjoy your mod very much, and I would really appreciate some help...

Don't know what to say then man. The error you posted is extremely ambiguous (not your fault, it's just the error being generated that doesn't provide much info) and I don't have any other theories as to what it might be. Hopefully someone else can help you out.

And orangeweaver, did that already
Ah, that is really strange. I kept trying to go through your posts because I know I didn't update modloader at first and had an issue but it seems to me like you are doing it right? I haven't had any issues, I wish I could help man. :sad.gif:

Are you sure there is nothing in the mods folder? you haven't left a zip in there by accident?
i would back up your saves
then delete your .miencraft folder, and get MC to DL a fresh .minecraft folder then try again, making sure modloader and BTW go in the jar.
on another note
to those who enjoy BTW but also want to play with some mods that dont agree with BTW, eg forge mods
may i point you towards the minecraft profile manager
it allows you to have separate .minecraft folders at what ever location you chose and has a nice interface to chose what particular .minecraft folder you want to use.
i use this to enjoy BTW as it was ment to be(standalone) and my other worlds with multiple mods
also, thanks again FC for the update, looking forward to what comes next

The sword sprite on the item bar is a sprite someone made for me that I used in place of the old refined sword sprite, but I had the problem with the refined sword looking like a band before I changed the sprites.
