I'm unfortunately getting a lot of incompatibilities from mineForge thingy, I know you don't care much for making this compatible for other mods but was the reason that mineforge was added because of that Aether mod and this chewed up almost all the IDs or was BTW going to need it anyways, regardless? I think I remember you contemplating finding a way to get this to work with aether a while back cause of its insane popularity.

Actually, I do care about compatibility, which is why I went with the Forge.
Until other authors start using it, there are bound to be some incompatibilities that crop up at start, but the overall objective is to make everyone's lives easier by providing a unified framework for inter-mod compatibility.
If you're interested, I speak of it at length in the interview I did the other day.

Hey okay. Well that fantastic! Provided that others hop on board too. I suppose this is what Notch is working towards too when he says modding api. So even if they dont for mineForge I guess it'll eventually happen with that.

Actually, no. The "modding api" is just the Minecraft source-code being released to modders. It will really do nothing for compatibility between mods, which is why something like the Forge is so important.

Thanks.
EDIT : Nevermind, got it figured out. I am using the extended wiring mod and I forgot I had to transfer the wire type.
Read the release notes. You can't plant in an empty Planter. That was only a bug in the previous version.
Oh I see. Thanks for clearing that up.
Another question, (sorry if I sound noobish right now) but how do you put plants in the planter?
That's right. I haven't converted over to the Forge system for handling textures yet. That will be coming soon.
Every mod works with Mac OS X

Edit: found it out :-D
Mind sharing the knowledge? I'm still stuck on how to do it.
dirt block
water bucket
empty planter
in a crafting box
