HELL yeah once me and my freind saw this title looked at the video saw some guy killin wolfs i was like O.O well
sorry to the maker of this mod this isint good sorry:(
Lol! Well, as a rule, I try not to take the opinion of any person with "ninja" in their name too seriously (especially when so many others disagree with you) :smile.gif:

i love this mod. is there any rules against me posting it to the minecraft wiki mod page as long as flowerchild gets 100% credit? i think it should be there
Glad you like it man!
And go for it on the wiki. I have no problem with that whatsoever :smile.gif:

This would go very well with the block dispenser. Would open up the idea of the block dispenser being able to "modify" redstone circuits.
I agree. That's immediately what I thought when I saw the idea. It would also work great with the regular dispenser to make an arrow-turret of sorts.
I really like the idea overall, despite my ragging on the guy for not explaining his previous sandstone idea :wink.gif:

I just got a brilliant idea from this.... Use block dispenser to make a more compact togglable button! I must get to testing now!
Well, that idea is so brilliant, I have no clue what it means :smile.gif:
Please post pics when your creation is ready. Would love to know what it is :wink.gif:
NEWS:
I've got one out of the two block types ready for the next release! Given that it was the more complicated of the two, that is good news!
I would expect new toys to play with either late tonight or tomorrow :wink.gif:
P.S. As an added bonus, it appears I just accidentally created a form of cobble-stone half-block that can be attached to a surface in any orientation. Sweet :smile.gif:
It seems like a good mod, but it really needs a title change. I thought this was going to improve the wolves somehow or give them armor.
Sorry, not going to happen. The title was intentional, and to make a point about the overall direction that Minecraft is taking in its development.
While I understand the sentiment (and probably actually agree), I can tell you I almost didn't click on this thread because I thought it was a wolf mod, which wasn't what I was looking for when browsing the forum today. I'm only posting this because someone else requested a name change in one of the first replies and you shot him down hard over this point you're trying to make. I agree with that poster.
So the message I read on the first page is that not only have you purposely confused me, but you did it because you're mad at Notch.
Only...
If you're that mad at Notch/MC, you wouldn't be playing, let alone coding mods for it. You are actively assisting MC to move in the direction you don't want it to go.
I'm not installing this to prove a point to you, just like you're trying to prove a point to Notch. Will my point be taken and processed any more than yours was?
I'm not installing this to prove a point to you, just like you're trying to prove a point to Notch. Will my point be taken and processed any more than yours was?
And in protest of the point you are trying to prove, I'm not listening to the point you made.
Will that point be processed any more than your point about my point about Notch's point?
P.S. Unlike Notch, I'm not making any money off people using my Mod. So point away my pointy friend. You're the only one losing out. A protest is only as effective as the strain it puts on the opposing party...
..in this case, that is zip.
P.P.S. When the heck did I say I was pissed at Notch? I love the game, and by extension of that, its creator. It is entirely reasonable to disagree with a person's course of action while still liking them in a non-black-and-white all-or-nothing universe.
Flower I'd quote you then reply but it's too much of a pain to do on an iPhone so here's my reply without the quote
A togglable button. First push door open then second Push door closed instead of the current open/close with one push. I think I've found a way to make it a simpler process to wire a button and pressure plate system that toggles but now that I'm working on it I think I would make it more complicated then it already is.... Eh either way I'll come up with a cool use for block dispensers being used in a redstone circuit.

Yup, I think the only way to do this is with a Flip Flop, which is definitely not a simple circuit :smile.gif:
Oh wow actually a flip flop is more compressed then what I have been using 0.o my basic idea is to use block dispensers and make an even more compressed flip flop. I think I can do this by wiring the block dispensers to an rs nor latches. Sadly I can't uncomplicate it but hopefully I can make it take up much less space
Snow in front of a detector block will set it off, I know its meant to detect blocks and stuff in front of it but snow cover could become a problem in outdoor mechanisms within snow biomes.
God damned snow! :smile.gif:
Do you mean falling snow, or the actual snow block? If the snow-block, then there's not much I can do about it as it's one of the technical requirements that it detect ANY kind of block (even partially "transparent" ones like ladders or redstone wire). If it detects falling snow, that's really frigging cool and means there's an upcoming feature I actually don't need to code :smile.gif:
Neither, the halfblock like layer that forms on the ground.
But as long as the detector block has nothing above the space in front of it a snow layer will form and set it off, making for a good snow detector.
Idea!
A Rotary Block/Turn table:
A block that when powered mechanically will reface a block on top of it.
= Gear
You are officially cut-off from getting responses to your ideas until you tell me what you want to grind sandstone into sand with the Mill Stone for.
I'm not beyond playing hard-ball :smile.gif:
P.S. Cool idea. I'll keep it in mind :wink.gif:
I did answer you :tongue.gif:

I personally use a lot of glass in my builds, at the moment I'm building a 1km long mine track in the nether and don't want Gasts messing it up. So its a Glass tunnel with an obsidian floor.
Also, this way sandstone can be a type of storage medium for sand along with an early game building material :biggrin.gif:

Got you. Yeah, same problem as I described before with the snow on the ground. It's really a block like redstone dust or what have you.
But you're right in that it gives the Detector and additional use :wink.gif:

Okay that idea was a failure but I did figure put how to wire two dispensers so that one will always be the opposite of the other (powered/unpowered)
Wouldn't that just involve a not-gate? :smile.gif:

I'm still trying to put the finishing touches on a release for tonight, but can't make any promises. Everything is working perfectly, I just have to slap together a few item icons. Maybe in a bit, maybe tomorrow :wink.gif:
Oooo pretty!! can the anchor be placed on the bottom of a block?
Yup, any orientation at all, including facing upwards, although you can't attach a rope to it if it's facing upwards.
Believe it or not, the anchor was actually the harder of the two blocks to implement. The arbitrary orientation and custom renderer made it an interesting job :smile.gif:

Any KNOWN incompatibilities I should be aware of? Because I don't see any OBVIOUS reasons for the problem I'm having.
Also, for the record, IDEA:
Electric Furnace
Where is a Habachi grill.
Slower cook/smelt speed, but near-indefinite use.
It's not like it's inherently unbalanced against Charcoal with the materials suggested; Charcoal is renewable anyway.
FlowerChild, I'm beginning to think you're psychic or something. I got this text file for Minecraft that lists everything I want to add to the game. Here's the content:
-Dungeon mods
-Vertical Redstone ou Redstone Block that can send power over any direction.
-Rope (for climbing,etc)
I guess I don't really need to make any suggestion as you end up adding everything I want anyway. :tongue.gif:
But I agree with Quesoman, the rope recipe definitely should give more than 1 piece per craft. Anything from 2 to 6 would be fully satisfying in my opinion.
P.S: The dungeon mod is because I still haven't found a single dungeon yet. Rawr!
Edit: How does the rope react when you "break" it?

It contains the following changes:
-Added the Anchor.
-Added the Rope.
-Changed Gear recipe to produce 2 Gears instead of just 1.
-Fixed problem with the Block Dispenser destroying specific kinds of items in its inventory if the block in front of it already contained something.
-Added collision to the base of the Hand Crank, so that you can now step up onto it, and don't just walk right through it.
As per usual, I'll be updating the OP momentarily with the crafting recipes and item descriptions.
Enjoy!
