But... But... Wolves are cute... And ****... And they make cute sounds... And splash in water... And shake the water off... And they protect you with their lives...
WHY ARE YOU SO MEAN! T_T
Jokes asides, this mod is completely awesome. I love everything about it... Maybe except for the companion cubes. But oh well. :biggrin.gif:
If I could make a suggestion, regardless of how far fetched it is, I would like to suggest that you add "boat" and "Airplane" blocks, so-to-speak. What happens is you build a ship, airplane, submarine, boat, etc. in the air, not touching any ground blocks (you'll see why) with all blocks adjacent to each other, or touching. Then, where you want the control to be, you place the block. Then the entire ship/airplane breaks down to fit in your inventory, allowing you to replace it in water, for the ships, or on a flat surface, for the airplanes. The airplanes sounds pretty hard, but it would be awesome for really creative people to be able to build pirate ships and Titanic models and bring them to life, allowing other players (if this mod is adapted to SMP) to be able to walk around on the ship, doing things like operating built in redstone cannons and fighting people. It does seem extremely complicated, but would be AWESOME if implemented.

doesn't fit the philosophy of the mod nor vanilla MC that the modder is trying to capture.

Good Whiskey, a Sweet Pipe, and Minecraft. What else do I need?!
I find it pretty funny that there's at least one comment on each of the 500 pages asking why you hate wolves or saying you should rename this mod.
You've added more content to Minecraft, by yourself, than Notch has been able to pull off since wolves were released.
I think the mod is named perfectly and I can't wait to see what's next.
is the mod compatible with TooManyItems? because i tried installing it but it didn't work (not sure if i did anything wrong) but i just want to make sure if it is or not.
With 500 pages and counting, this has probably been suggested before and is perhaps already planned, so feel free to ignore.
I'd like to see the ability to mill/cut other resources into panels/molding/corners, like sandstone and wool. With wool I'm looking to have the ability to "plaster" interiors white without dramatically reducing interior space. This would allow for historically accurate ancient dwellings, which were often plastered inside with several levels differing by heights of small increments, which the panels/etc. aspect of your mod could make feasible.
Better yet might be actual plaster (bonemeal + sandstone, or the like) resulting in a lightly textured white finish, perhaps based on the functionality of cement. Having a mostly aesthetic function, I realize this might not be up your alley. I'll try not to have my feelings hurt if you don't take to the idea.

nice idea, flower child is releasing a new age in an update(or so i assume) so who knows, it may be in it, if not it would be a cool thing to implement.
Looking at the mod, this mod advances blocks and technology used in the game, and also looks very useful.
But please tell me, how in the hell is the title relevant to any of this.
I watched the videos, and the only thing this has to do with wolves is you killing them like you normally do.
Why is this called "Better than wolves" if the mod isn't portrayed by modifying wolves in any way.
Thanks FlowerChild for this awesome mod! :smile.gif:
The mod is episode 9 in my collection of mod videos, showing off most of the features that they have!

Enlighten me.
The title is not "Better Wolves" which would imply improving said animal. It's "Better Than Wolves."
The title made sense to me the first time I came across it, before I had seen or read about any of what the mod did. The title has an implicit meaning. It's not that hard to comprehend this, unless you're 11 and still learning the English language, in which case I forgive you. But even if you don't understand what's implied by the title, you could still read the author's mission statement in the OP. Maybe that part is hard.

Don't diss my Companion Cube. He can totally kick your wolf's ass
