How is that a bad thing ? Where's the fun in mining thousands blocks of Netherrack ?
i'll put it even more precise: the transition. you go from having to manually harvest lots of netherrack to chopping and processing wood. and all it takes is 8 processed blocks of netherrack.
i would simply like the initial investment to be bigger. especially since even manual production of Souldust is 1000x easier than manually producing Hellfire dust.
but on an unrelated note: i found it extremely counter-intuitive to craft the stuff. the first thing i did was toss Hellfire dust and Saplings in a cauldron, followed by every other soul and fire related material (including Magma cream, Nether warts, buckets of lava and some other stuff). then i went to stoke the thing (which caused a big hellfire-induced explosion).
then i tried the Crucible. then the anvil. and finally the crafting table.
First off, is the pulley supposed to drop rope when it's not powered by any water/wind mill? Because mine is.
And I cant seem to get it to go up... >_<
Yes, unpowered pulleys lower ropes downwards.
As to the other problem, is the rope attached to an anchor? Is there some obstruction? Is the platform larger than 5x5x5? Are you absolutely sure that the mechanical power is reaching the pulley?
The title is subjective and insulting. Please change it.
this title is awesome and i have loved this mod since i first got minecraft, and it is not in any way insulting to anyone...notch would probably like this mod you are the only one ive ever seen say something like this, so how about we leave the title the way it is, and YOU go change
Cheers, but I've tried that. The axle the Windmill is on doesn't seem to be able to be selected, and when you're on the same side as the gearboxes and axles, you sort of hit through them onto the windmill. Anyway, thanks for the help man, to be honest I'll just stick with survival :smile.gif:
I've had this problem a lot. And it was worse in 1.8 when the attack reach for entities was longer; whenever you were trying to break or place a block and just happened to be facing the windmill's direction, it wouldn't work, because the game insisted that you were trying to interact with the windmill even if it was behind a wall.

1. Yes the rope is attached to an anchor.
2. What exactly do you mean by obstruction? Something blocking the way?
3. My platform is 3x3
4. Pretty sure.
hey dude can yo umake it compatible with risugamis(dont know how to spell his name) recipe book because when i select the book. it crashs my game. plz fix. if yo uwant to know what happend. it made the screen go blueish white

But again, I'd ask: so? What is fun about harvesting netherrack that you'd want that system to be preserved?
And again, you're neglecting that you still need to do it to make Mining Charges.

You're really overstating your case man. How is sticking Netherrack in a Mill Stone and waiting for it to finish grinding any easier than planting a Blood Sapling and waiting for the tree to grow so that your saws will cut it down? The only difference IMO is that one method can be automated (which is good in my mind), and one can not.

I'm not entirely satisfied with the way the recipe works either, but I was focused on the functionality for this last release.

I find that strange considering all crafting table recipes work on the anvil.
You really seem to be into overstating your case man. It's a bit of a drag, and I suspect leads to people adopting a defensive posture when responding to your points.
You wouldn't happen to be Brethern on an alt account would you?

My guess: Axles aren't like Redstone. If you have more than 3 axles in a row, then they're not going to transmit power.

Works fine with the recipe book on my end. Maybe it's a typo?
Nnothing much to say, haven't tried 3.40 yet so i wont make any rash decisions about it. I sounds a bit op to me. Why does everyone make netherack mining so much harder than planting a tree?
Is it just me or is tediousness bad, not something to retain?
Yeah, it's bad. I think the only purpose it really serves is to provide additional motivation for automation and to increase the level of satisfaction when it is achieved.
The Hand Crank stage of the tech tree is a good example. By providing a tedious and repetitive task the mod motivates you towards building your first Wind Mill and enhances the sense of achievement when you do. It basically creates a problem for the player that they'll be naturally inclined to resolve.

well maybe its the mods i have on. well thx for saying. oh and i'm saying the 3.40. but do i need to get rid of btw and reinstall the new version for it to work
As far as I know those mods should work together, however; it is one of two possible things:
1. Did you delete META-INF from the .jar?
2. Did you also install the PlayerAPI required to run Smart Moving?
If you did both of those things, then I have no idea. But that's all I can think of.
Yes, and yes, have you tried these mods together they are my favorite all time mods, but are not working together, ofcourse excluding Aether and Spc mods, Cuz they aren't compatible with ****.

The trick? Use a sword.

ahh you got me.
and yes that was a joke.
weird. maybe i did something wrong. or i just memorize it wrongly.
ah well. i think i've made my point so i can let it rest.
i really do like the Infestrees tho.
