Lol! Suck it down man. You'll need to learn to use it at some point if you want to make cool interactive stuff :wink.gif:

Hey, would anyone know how to make alternating light bulbs at ground level with redstone under it?
Not sure I understand what you mean. You want them alternating on/off or what?
If so, because of the way the light blocks work in this mod, you'll have to put a 1 block space between them (because they are indirectly powered by neighboring blocks).
If I can offer some encouragement: Redstone is hugely rewarding once you get over the initial learning curve.
I put it off myself for a long time too (despite having a background in amateur electronics), but once I got into it, I couldn't imagine playing minecraft without it.
a great idea for a block could be a block that when activiated with power (redstone) it spawns a random mob. if it is light and grassy it will be an animal . if it isnt grassy and dark it will be a monster . it could be crafted like this.
= spawn fragment
(fire = spawn fragment)
= powered spawner
if you like the idea then tell me. it may be too hard to make into the mod but it is still cool right.
It seems like a good mod, but it really needs a title change. I thought this was going to improve the wolves somehow or give them armor.
Sorry, not going to happen. The title was intentional, and to make a point about the overall direction that Minecraft is taking in its development.
Awww. Where'd you get that thing on your shoulder? It's so cute! I want to get a chip just like that some day.
The ideas are great. It all works well. You've even got videos of it. But the name is just too pretentious for my tastes.

I love this mod ! I'm Glad that it dosen't require mod loader too, I downloaded it mainly for the minecart stuff but the glowing lights is actually helping me learn more about redstone circuits. I just want to thank you for the great mod. I totally understand the time and hard work that must have went into this.
I just wonder what texture pack you are using? Mine dosen't seem to pick up the cement. Maybe I installed the mod wrong but everything else works great !

You're most welcome :smile.gif:
Now, why is it you're glad it doesn't use ModLoader? I'm currently in the process of converting to it, so if there are reasons not to, I'd like to know as soon as possible.

That makes sense actually.
This is because I had to create a new texture for the cement fluid using a copy of one of the default textures. The way fluid animates, it requires a whole set of textures in terrain.png to represent the different frames of animation.
This should be fixed shortly once I get ModLoader support up and running, and yes, I know you don't like Mod Loader. A bit of a catch-22 then :smile.gif:
In the mean time though, if you open the terrain.png of your texture pack, and copy over the block of stone texture above the water and lava ones in the bottom right-hand corner of the image from terrain.png in my mod, it should fix it up nicely.
Nice mod, but could you find some replacement for the slime ball in the cement? Those are rarer than diamond in my opinion.
I don't consider them rarer than diamond by a long shot, but they are rare, and that's part of the reason why they are one of the ingrediants. The other reason is that they have no use whatsoever in game, and one of my objectives with the mod was to provide uses for such material.
Having read the original thread this spawned from, I must give my support. You made a great argument and fended off the retards quite well. I will stand by the mod name as well as I feel it is entirely appropriate.
Update ! - I found a program called paint.net That seemed to fix my terrain.png file. Now my last question is how ( if you know ) do I change the name in too many items mod? Or is that some thing I have to ask that guy?
I can;t get mod loader to work with my other mod - too many items. With both of them installed my computer crashes ( i know i need a new computer . Now what program do i use to edit the terrain.png file? I'm new to this stuff so I need a program thats pretty simple.
Dude, that's totally awesome. Thank you for putting so much effort into this video!
Do you mind if I embed it into the OP? I think it acts as an excellent demonstration of the mods features. Far better than I can with my 30 second length limit on videos :smile.gif:
I must admit that I cracked up laughing all over again when you flicked the switch and all the boosters started screaming :wink.gif:

Sorry Mitheu, but I have no clue whatsoever on that one :smile.gif:
Glad to hear you sorted out your texture issues. Paint.net is what I am using as well.

Awesome mod though! I love it xD

Very glad to hear it :smile.gif:
Hehe...was just about to add that to the intended features list in the OP :wink.gif:

And I love the name of the mod, I think it fits !
Your loss. If you refuse to use stuff you like, simply because you don't like its name, then therapy may be in order.
Here's hoping you don't one day meet the girl of your dreams, only to discover she's called "Phillip".
Ummmm....no, I will not, and don't tell me later. Refer to the OP as I state quite clearly that this is simply not going to happen.
You're most welcome :smile.gif:
