Uh... I have no block textures when connecting to an SMP server. All I see are entities, chests, particles, signs and paintings. So everything non-block basically.
Everything else seems to work fine - Looks good in singleplayer.
Hello guys! they have already released a tester a while ago. It's already on my magic launcher and working pretty smoothly! 90fps average on fancy graphics with off profiler. I hope you guys enjoy. Here's the linkhttp://optifine.net/...3.1_HD_U_A1.zip
Holy crap sp614x! Niiiiiiice. Test version working very well so far, but only messed with a little. No AA or AF testing yet.
Vanilla 1.3.1 was working a lot better than 1.2.5. Now with the test version of Optifine for 1.3.1... improvement from 30-40 FPS to 90-120!
My 20 or so minutes with the test version is going well so far. Must delve more for buggies. But of note is the fact I can use Far rendering distance for the first time and keep a smooth and high FPS with Minecraft. The game plays like butter now for me! Back to "testing"!
having a problem. Using some of Risugami's mods (armor stand, recipe, modloader,) and am using Timber along with Rei's Minimap.
On magic launcher, it says 12 errors and when I test it, Minecraft crashes.
I turned off all my mods and it still crashes.
Should I not install it with magic launcher?
Btw, I AM using the preview version.
I am not an idiot and using the 1.2.5 xD
My minecraft crashes upon loading up a world or entering a server. On the plus side, I found out that 1.3.1 has this nifty feature that saves your crash reports in a file in your .minecraft folder.

Looks like your minecraft.jar is already patched with MCPatcher.
Either start with a clean minecraft.jar or remove all mods from MCPatcher which conflict with OptiFine.
Whenever I enable AA or AF, everything disappears except for Mobs....
(just so you guys know, you DO have to restart the Minecraft client when enabling or disabling AA/AF)
Only AA needs a restart.
AF is applied immediately.
Render distance seems to not change. I get the slowdown to go along with the change but the distance stays the same. This is after sitting there a couple of minutes.
On the server i don't seem to lag with Optifine but i get the normal server lag. When i go on my own world it lags at like 1 to 5 fps with Optifine i don't know whats wrong.
Ok, little more testing....
AF set to any level, nothing renders upon restart. AA set to any level, nothing renders upon restart. Both together on any level nothing renders on a restart. If I cause a block update, breaking a block ect..., the chunk I am in will render but sometimes goes back to invisible.
It produced an interesting result...all the Endermen within view distance around the world were in visible chunks while everyone else was standing in a void ;-) So any block update in the world regardless of cause will make that chunk visible apparently.
Maybe Advanced OpenGL is the problem, you can try turning it OFF.

Fresh MC jar and full video settings reset.
That's funny because it's working for me.
Sign posts are missing.
Top half of chests are missing.

Make sure to start with a clean minecraft.jar.

5% percent left. This is going to feel like the longest wait ever. I haven't upgraded to 1.3.1 because I hate my PC!
6 FPS ftw!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH
Works fine for me.
Any other mods installed?

Tried it with all options for OpenGL, same result..invisible world except for chests, mobs, and flames on torches
