No money comes out of your pocket, but it helps the Mod owner more than you can imagine, at the cost of you waiting an extra 5 seconds.
He doesn't work on optifine on an hourly rate of pay. so every little helps, a little motivation.
If you have descent protection on your computer then Viruses of anykind shouldn't be a problem, My AV has never detected anything from Ad.fly..
While I greatly appreciate the work that has been done on many of the mods here If I wish to donate money to the devs I will. I should not have to feel forced to use ad.ly and other links that give money to those who use it. "Waiting 5 seconds" has nothing to do with it. Its the principle.
Getting some odd issues with pistons, and the blocks the pistons are pushing, when crossing chunk borders. Both of the previously stated will flash in and out, and even fail to update completely. They are working, but not displaying correctly.
I know this is a normal issue, however, it's MUCH worse than vanilla MC. I can be standing on one side of a chunk border, and have the pistons on the other side (like 2 blocks away from me) and I can't really see what's actually happening, due to the flickering/glitching.
In some cases, I don't even have to be across a chunk border. It'll happen to pistons right next to me, even in the middle of a chunk.
As an experiment, I created a 3/.5 piston cycler, and I can't even see the pistons/block working.
Not sure if this is an unavoidable side effect of the optimization. If so, it's a small trade for decent FPS.
