Got a feature request, pretty simple one (I think), a toggle in the settings menu for hiding scoreboards.
We'd like to use a rotating scoreboard on our server but we're not sure all of the people on the server would be happy with that. It'd be awesome if clients could individually switch it off, and optifine is already used by pretty much everyone on the server!
My "feature request" at the moment is being able to play ViveCraft (the VR Headset Mod) which ships with Optifine to back it, AND Fabric mods providing the client-side stuff we like to use on our server. Today is not that day, unfortunately. OptiFabric, Fabric in general, and ViveCraft do not play well together.

I personally think that Vivecraft compatibility is a thousand times more likely to become a reality than a very specific and circumstantial server-related feature that does not fit the scope of this mod at all.
Please keep in mind that this compatibility may not only be Optifine's burden to bear, though. There's probably lots that Vivecraft and Fabric (perhaps even Forge) can do on their end to make this a reality as well.

Vivecraft has always required Optifine to do it's magic, and prior to 1.13 used Forge. Unfortunately, 1.13 disrupted a huge amount of work. We are back in business, I think Forge is even back in the mix. Fabric, however, requires OptiFabric to have Fabric go at the same time. There is no mechanicsm to fit ViveCraft in that mix. Hopefully with the mappings being released with each version, we'll be able to have ViveCraft, Fabric, Optifine, even Forge all play together nicely. One can hope, at any rate.
I am hesitant to report this as I can't track down the culprit - but using any of the releases of Forge - MC 1.14.4 from *at least* 28.0.94 and Optifine 1.14.4 HD U F4 pre4 and any of the 4 different shaders I've tried the game will eventually start lagging terribly. If I close and restart all is well. It feels like a memory leak or some such condition. If there is anything you'd like me to try or provide I'm happy to do so.
Which would make things a bit of a problem. As far as I know, ViveCraft (requiring Optifine) is rolling out now with Forge. Fabric isn't in the mix, though Fabric is what I'm using for the mods I enjoy. I'm ok with looking at Forge mods, I just haven't so far.
Schweet-freakin' horney-toads, I hope with the release of the mappings, "the community" can agree upon a framework for "let's all place nice together." LiteLoader *did* at one point play well enough with Forge, but obviously things are in a bit of a mess these days.

ever since the great rewrite of 1.7.10 to 1.8, seems like everyone ended up going there own way for a framework, some eve making there own mods load directly into the game.
As far as I'm aware, Fabric and Forge will never be compatible with each other. You have to pick one or the other.
It's from the Forge Aurthor's view on core mods. Basically building forge to plug into minecraft and talk with out in a way so that mods that work with forge won't conflict or need to rewrite any minecraft code. Fabric uses mix-ins and opens up the core minecraft code to modders to play with.
At least that's my understanding of it. Maybe an extreamly smart person might be able to make a Forge plug in for fabric but the way fabric works, you will never have a fabric plug in for forge.
Is this the place to report issues? I've been playing the Optifine preview Optifine 1.14.4 HD U F4 pre4 with almost all releases of Forge for the past week and they both seem to work well. I occasionally get severe slowdowns and lag and have to quit/restart and all is well. The console sometimes complains of OpenGL issues - but I haven't yet posted them here.
All my mods and all the shaders I've tried work well. I'm not really acquainted with Optfine so perhaps there are settings that will improve performance. I pretty much left everything default.
I've installed the optifine file and it suddenly acts like it doesn't work. If anything, it makes my computer slower, even when I put everything on it's lowest setting. It leads to crashes and me constantly restarting my computer to make it work, only for it to not work. Anyone can help me?

Hello,
I have a few resource packs that use CIT. These RPs work perfectly in an OptiFine-only profile, but in a Forge profile with Optifine, the CIT do not work. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?
I wanted to make a suggestion, I could put the minecon cover for donors who had previously, had already donated about 3 times to the site, and use the cover of OFF use 3 years ago

I would like to know your rules for using optifine in youtube videos and whether you allow the use of the mod in youtube videos. Don't wish to be breaking the rules of using optifine. Also, I love the mod, you do great work with it! ^^

Optifine's author sp614x "shares" his mappings with Vivecraft per http://www.vivecraft.org/1-13-work-has-begun/ Quote: "We’ve started working on Vivecraft for 1.13. There is still no official release of MCP, but sp614x, who writes Optifine, has manually created the MCP update so we can all move forward."

ok
What other mods you have installed? Is OptiFine actually loaded?
sp614x OptiFine 1.14.4 HD U F4 pre10 isn't compatible with Oracle JDK 1.8.0_231.
It compatible up to Oracle JDK 1.8.0_221.
Crash reports can be found here.
There are no other mods installed. OptiFine is loaded, all other functions of OptiFine work, just not CIT.
ok
sorta works
