Any reason why any resource pack with Optifine compatibility acts like this?

Pls help. MC 1.12.2 + Forge 14.23.5.2781(2,3,4) + OptiFine HD U E2 crash when running minecraft.

I've checked, the only difference is that the pack is for 1.13 and I'm playing on 1.13.2, I tested it on 1.13.1 and newer preview versions of Optifine and it still does it.

@ Sweet_Brew is this a public resource pack that you can provide a link for?

Any resource pack with Optifine compatibility does it, but yes the pack is public.

Good catch. It would appear I grabbed the URL of the wrong screenshot (my control/comparison client). I've updated the link. Thanks.

Any suggestions as to what might be wrong with my version then?
Because I think this proves it's an issue on my end.

I KNEW IT, my previous complaint was caused by a reported performance issue in 1.13 and its snapshots:

When the new chunks are loading the client create huge lag spikes in singleplayer.

I do hope that sp514x will seriously look at it while its still unresolved.

@sp614x So since in 1.14 the lighting engine is being redone, will a lot of features have to be re-done?

Hello everyone,

I'm getting a strange message pop up whenever I use Optifine. It's been happening since 1.13.1 and continues into 1.13.2

The chat/command will display "OpenGL Error: 1282 (Invalid Operation)" every 10 seconds or so which can be really tedious in multiplayer when you're trying to follow a chat.

I've tried everything I can think of. Full/clean reinstall of Minecraft, updating Java, updating Windows, updating graphics drivers, but the moment I run the game with Optifine it pops up again.

Has anyone else had this bug, and if so, how do you get rid of it? I am hoping to avoid having to play Minecraft without Optifine!

(yes, this does belong here! Trust me, I toyed around enough with the shaders and the shadermod to have enough understanding about where such a question belongs. Just in case)

The 1.14 render engine hasn't been deobfusctated yet so it is hard to say how it works.

Looking at the 1.14 performance and looks it is probably the same as 1.13, but packed in a different way.

Nice job with the new version 1.13.2_HD_U_E5. My water surface bug is gone and chunks are loading faster than ever when flying around, no hiccups!
