One additional thing , if posting a wall of text PLEASE use a spoiler. See the exclamation mark on the tool bar? Guess what its for.
I cannot speak for anyone else but when I see that I just skip the post... If the poster is so mentally challenged they cannot use a spoiler its almost certainly a very minor mistake. If that person would s l o w down, read a few prior pages, and think about their problem they could easily solve their own problem!
Keep in mind that several people post their questions on a daily basis
and only a handful of people actually know the exact answer to specific
problems. If your answer was skipped in a page or two, feel free to post
it again, just be careful in not spamming. Learn to wait (;
Don't get frustrated over not getting any answers at first, it will happen more often than you think.
Also, in any sort of bug reports or seeking for help, make sure you list the following:
Minecraft version
Optifine version
Computer specs
Is your game modded? if yes, list what you have added to the game.
Screenshots
A log from the game's console <- extremely important
Best regards,
Thanks a lot for this, I'm really glad we have people like you here to assume things. First off, an error in your statement I'm neither impatient nor frusterated. I was actually being rather nice.

I figured my question was skipped over and WAITED for 9 days. What I quoted was back on the 23rd of October. The recent copy of the quote, since I only did so once in my entire life, was posted 9 days after the original post was put up here. Can I help it if I am curious?

Who said I was frustrated...? I was merely asking out of concern, since my thinking is "I've insulted the mod author." I've had a lot of people answering my questions. If I don't get an answer, then I'll usually forget about the question and go about my life because sometimes the question gets answered when I come back within a week or even a day. I did actually forget about this question until I went to EU2's mod page.

This wasn't a bug report more so than a simple question that could've been answered easily. However, thank you for assuming I didn't know what a "bug report" was. I've been at this bug reporting thing for 4 years now. Go take a look on curse forge, I'm sure you will find all of the questions and how patient I can actually be. Also, check on github and bitbucket, I put many issues regarding mods that may or may not have been the causes of the issues for Minecraft for 4 years as well.

If you'd like to I can be more impatient and frustrated in my messages...What I'm trying to say basically is don't send me a mesasage of patience. I know how to be patient. What you said right there was more condescending than helpful.
Reloading resources or changing texture or shader packs during play using this version of Optifine causes the game to hang and freeze for me. @PoisonShark this I believe is some of your error.
Thank you very much for answering the question. I never changed resource packs from anything other than Redcraft (v.0.3.0 x64). I'm not really sure that was the problem though. When in game I put my chunks down to 8 doing so caused this big black/white line on my screen and I couldn't break any block or move past it. Once, I put it back to 12 chunks the issues were resolved. I guess staying at 12 chunks is best for me right now. I'm using HD_U_D2 now. I greatly appreciate you taking out sometime to answer my question. I just wish I could've seen it sooner
I'm not sure if it's just me, but the new D2 version of Optifine seems to be loading really sporadically.
I think it's the optimized 32 chunk rendering, am I the only one?
My apologies if I sound dumb with this question, but what exactly do you mean sporadically? I haven't really noticed anything. Of course, I don't really have 32 chunks rendered at all times, seeing as that would slow down my game a bunch. What exactly do you see when in game?

It's not a dumb question at all, I was rather vague. lol
What I mean by that is that the chunks will stop rendering, or only the top texture of all the blocks will render far away for the first few seconds, or the chunks far away will render but the chunks that are really close won't until I reload the chunks and stuff.
Not specifically in that order, but stuff similar to that.
Though seeing as I've been the only one to comment about this it seems that it must be an issue with my computer. lol

I've been using HD_U_C3 to avoid any of these issues for now. There are so many bugs in the mods with 1.10 that it's very frustrating to develop packs. I think I'm deciding to hold on development for now until things get a bit less unstable.

That and everytime I enter/exit the nether portal my game will decide it doesn't want to work and crash on me every time I do so. Keeps giving me a potion funct error having to do with Nausea when stepping into the portal
Minecraft: 1.10.2
Forge: 12.18.2.2120
Optifine HD U D2
I seem to be having missing textures for a mod called Ex Nihilo Omnia also.
This didn't start happening until I updated to forge 2120. I'm also not in the mood to talk with forge mod api authors. I just don't get a straight answer whenever i ask anything issue related.

Is there a way to disable multi-core usage in Optifine? My client crashes whenever I use CustomOreGen because it also uses multithreading in 1.10.2.
I'm using forge 2120, optifine HD U C3 (D1 and D2 crash when reloading textures), and CustomOreGen 1.10.2 1.4.2.
EDIT: I was able to tweak the settings. With Smooth World disabled, they run together without a problem.
EDIT #2: Now I'm crashing because of the Extra Utilities bug -______-
EDIT #3: I'm back to HD U D2 and everything is running again, I just can't change the video settings without a guaranteed crash. I wish there was a github page for Optifine.

I have experienced that myself. The more recent version EU2 (1.2.x) causes lag with both entities and block breaking.
Could you help to solve problem with very big LAGS in Optifine, where I set shaders to ON.
See screenshot later
As you can see, my comp is a not weakest. Multicored I7-4790, 16GB ram, radeon R9-270 videocard.
But when I switch any shaders, FPS drops to 15-25... Without shaders all works fine, FPS rises to 150 and above.
Map is a Skyblock, on this map placed only 10000 blocks on two isles, no mobs anywhere.
Where is a problem? I switch a lagometer and see that white bar occupies a most part, is a bulk of graph. What shows a white bar? In lagometer help I don't find description of white color bar (described orange, blue, pink, red... not white, there's no white!). On any shaderpack white bar occupies a big part, and I don't know how to reduce it. Set render distance to low, set graphic settings to lowest, but it's not helping.

You can check the Debug Profiler to see where the time is spent.
see my screenshot above, I show a debug screen. What did you mean? What shows a white bar?
In the lagometer (moving linear graph) the white bars show unknown times.
Press "Shift + F3" and in the debug screen there will be a round pie chart in the lower right corner. This is the debug profiler.
Below the chart are listed the profiler sections, sorted by time usage. Using the keys 1-9 (0 is back) you can navigate the profiler hierarchy. http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Debug_screen#Profiler_graph
p.s. Just I've switch off a unicode and set language to English (US),font in depug pie changes to readable state. What's seeing? 50-60% occupies a "render", 30-50% - "gameRenderer", others lower than 5%.

The section "gameRenderer" at 50% is OK, this is the world rendering.
The section "render" at 50% is not OK, it should be very fast (usually 0%) unless the GPU is totally overloaded.
You can try:
- decrease render distance to 16 chunks
- disable animations
- test with default resource pack
- test with another shader pack - Sildur shaders v1.153, Chocapic13 shaders v6, etc
- test with only OptiFine (no Forge, no other mods) - the lag may be caused by Forge or by some other mods

Unknown times... what is "Unknown Times"?
Okay, pie chart is appears. But font in legend too small, I can't read nothing. See shot
It's needed to increase font
p.s. Just I've switch off a unicode and set language to English (US),font in depug pie changes to readable state. What's seeing? 50-60% occupies a "render", 30-50% - "gameRenderer", others lower than 5%.
An 8x FPS drop is normal when enabling shaders (150 FPS -> 20 FPS).
You should decrease the render distance, 32 chunks is too much.
The section "gameRenderer" at 50% is OK, this is the world rendering.
The section "render" at 50% is not OK, it should be very fast (usually 0%) unless the GPU is totally overloaded.
