Not sure what you changed between 1.9 A0 and A1, but Optifine is no longer compatible with the installer for 5zig mod.
http://5zig.eu/
The 5zig installer gives you the option to install another mod with it. It works with A0, but not A1.
Edit: Appears to be your new installer. I extracted optifine using the Extract button, and loaded that .jar into 5zig instead - works.
OptiFine_1.9_HD_U_A1_pre_MOD is what I mean.

Updated Preview OptiFine A1 for 1.9: Download
- fixed chunk loading when changing dimensions
Nice! The new preview no longer has the 'things disappear when item frames are in the same view' problem. I had a short test today (gotta go to work again), the only thing I found was this:
- can see vertical seams on surface of glass between panes on rightmost and leftmost panes when viewing glass panes from the south or east.
- no vertical seams when viewing glass panes from the north or west.
- can see texture between panes on the surface of glass pane that is parallel to the ground, looks like a thin seam. Looks like top and/or bottom edge of glass is being rendered instead of culled?
My environment is vanilla 1.9 with no shaders on smp on a Win10 laptop with nVidia 540m and 6 gigs of RAM, and Minecraft is running on Java x64 1.8.0_25. I'll do more testing when I get home later today. Pretty sweet stuff, I like playing Minecraft without the jittery video. Thanks for a great mod!
Nice, Forge 1.9 is out.
Time to check what has changed.
Connected glass panes are to be fixed.
i have no intention to rush you, i was just wondering if you have an idea of when optifine for 1.9 will be officially released? again, take all the time you need, i really appreciate what you do, i was just wondering if you knew
The installer needs the 1.9 version to be installed in order to extract it.
Love your mod! Quick question: what is the technical reason AA and AF need more time to implement with every version? Thanks!
Minecraft crashes when I load a world.

I'm using a Swedish QWERTY keyboard.
Where in the MultiMC folders did you extract the optifine jar to? I can't figure that part out. I put the extracted jar into the jarmods folder in MultiMC and it doesn't detect it still.
UPDATE: Never mind. It was a problem on my end and I fixed it. For some odd reason, MultiMC thought I still had the UNPATCHED OptiFine jar installed, even though I DIDN'T have it installed. Oh well.
Uh, hi
Minor issue in A1: pumpkin and melon stems remain green through their entire growth cycle, instead of gradually turning brown as they mature.
Preview OptiFine A2 for 1.9: Download
- fixed AA and AF
- fixed Shaders Normal Map
- fixed Shaders Old Lighting
- fixed CTM face detection (glass panes are not fixed yet)
- fixed chunk loading when changing dimensions
- should not crash
Microsoft has nothing to do with Minecraft PC development, that's all Mojang.
A1 and A2 switched to using patches of the modified Minecraft files.
You can export the patched mod with "Export" and use it with MultiMC.
Older versions are available in the OptiFine History.
This is definitely a must-have mod, even with a strong computer. Just a thought, would it be possible for Optifine to support the Vulkan API now that LWJGL has released Vulkan bindings? This would probably dramatically decrease the performance hit of shaders and result in even better performance for systems that support Vulkan. If this is possible, I'd really like to see this implemented.
For my optifine 1.9 pre from 18.03.2016 - creatures disappear with no matter what shader i use. even with shaders off they disappear. also with multicore support disabled. i dont know what i should do. suddenly a crepper comes and i cant kill it cuz i cant see it.
well they either flicker or disappear - but they also reappear.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thank you!

You're still on A0 pre sir lol
