Do you realize that crash report is dated 02 Mar 2014?
Supply a current crash report in spoilers and someone can help you.
It shouldn't be hard to get a current crash report if the problem still exists!!!
On the off chance you realized your mistake, please delete/edit out the entirely too long crash report. You might even report your post (this one too) and ask a moderator to remove it/them!!!
Oh god... tried to play 1.8 without OptiFine... lags lags everywhere, every half a second a freeze occurs; good luck to you guys with OptiFine coding - this is mod without which Minecraft wouldn't be possible to play.
Minecraft is a great game u can do many things in it i love map packs i hope to get the john legacy. The game lets u build what you think in your head great houses and others it is best to say that tho is a game that lets your imagination be free. good luck mine craft community.
Apologies if this has been said already, but I can't look through 2,110 paages of comments. XD
Optifine is causing a problem with the mod ExtraUtilities such that the magnum Torch, an item that prevents mobs spawning within a 64 block radius doesn't function with Optifine installed. This has already been mentioned on the EU Github and Optifine has been confirmed as the cause.
Please use the quote function to as questions of people. It makes it possible for the rest of us to go back and possibly answer the question for you.
Quote from Soggyhead1»A similar thing happened to me before i had optifine on 1.7.10 ver. So are you still using 1.7.10 optifine or is this on 1.8 (obviously no optifine)?
Yeah, I have no idea what post you're replaying to.
Turn off connected textures. Apparently MCPatcher (and all resource packs with CTM followed it) changed the texture format and Optifine is still using the old one.
But I'm using the same texture pack as I have been, so it should still work on the old version. This only happens on rare instances of encountering naturally-spawned double-high flowers, which makes no sense considering there are no connected texture files related to double-high flowers.
Like it's stated in the main post, at the bottom of the post, that you can find here, you can read the copyright notice that I took the liberty to screenshot to answer your question:
Oh whoops, I completely missed the clause about "public display". I guess I saw "advance written permission" and immediately jumped to requesting said permission. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
I recently created a mod for Forge 1.7.10, which adds to the game music discs and noticed that if I have installed OtpiFine then my music from records is not playing, and Optifine replaces them folder name from "mymod:records" to "minecraft:records".
Post the FULL crash report in a spoiler box, and possibly a list of mods you have installed. Although we probably don't need the list, it could help.

Oh whoops, I completely missed the clause about "public display". I guess I saw "advance written permission" and immediately jumped to requesting said permission. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
I really hope that the developers fix this issue.
