I'm sorry if this has been posted before, but I don't really feel like reading 181 pages to see. I sometimes get very strange graphical issues with this mod. Things such as place blocks not appearing right away (their little outline does though), destroyed blocks not appearing right away or sometimes leaving unrendered blocks in their place (On faces touching other blocks), redstone/levers not updating correctly, and pistons being very strange graphically (as in not rendering moving blocks, but kind of "snapping" to their new location). Sometimes entire chunks fail to render (they are still there, I just can't see them.) I did not get this with an older version, HD_B, I have. I am wondering if there is a fix for all of this, seeing as I really like a lot of features for this newer version, or if I am going to have to just suck it up and live with the older version.
Oh, and I can post computer specs if you need them. (I am on a laptop, if you want to know.)
Thanks for your help!
EDIT: Nevermind, the old version works with the updating problems, but I still get the chunk rendering problems.
Premiumwood uses shockahpi and scotools, no mcforge, but one of those black screen it..
Or, it could possibly be something else. I know it's not the ShockAhPI since Aether also needs it and OptiFine and Aether work together. Don't know about ScoTools though. But, others have reported black screen issues for various different reasons instead.
I seem to be having a problem with this mod. I absolutely love it as an upgrade for my crappy school computer, however because my computer is crappy I have to run MC from a batch file and so I cannot paste in the error message. Anyway, it appears that on a fresh install, upon starting MC after installing the mod, the console shows that some textures are removed, and others are registered. I have no idea what "registered" means, but that's what the command console displays. Any idea what's going on?

I'm using a HD_B optimine + optifog, should I dl the latest one..?

Why wouldn't you at least try the latest one? You can always go back to an older version if you find that you're having different problems with the latest one. And, there's a few different versions between what you're using and the latest.
You're using Version "B" and the latest version is currently Version "F." And, the latest versions come in different editions of either full Multi-Threaded (currently available only in Version "E"), Multi-Threaded "Light," and the basic non-threaded version.
So, yes, of course you should at least try the latest versions (and find the version and/or edition that works best for you).
No offense, but I'm kind of shocked someone would even ask that question. New version with more features? Possibly better performance improvements (not in every case)? Ability to download older versions still if you prefer an older version for some odd reason? Of course!
While you're at it, make sure you have updated your video drivers and Java on your machine. If you're running 64-bit Windows, then make sure to update both the 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Java.

I had a NVIDIA update offer, and I've had a java update FOREVER that's been annoying me. Could you possibly test Scotools for me? While I update..or?
Also, why update 32-bit on 64-bit?
Also how can I update it w/o reinstalling a whole new MC?
I installed the mod correctly and it works just fine. But I could improve my game if i could switch to "fast" mode rather than "fancy". MC crashes when I switch to fast and before I can copy the error report it black screens. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Go read the OP. OptiFine doesn't work with Minecraft Forge currently. And you're running that as you are using BuildCraft 2. Seriously, can people not read!?
Those horrible adfly links are NOT working. I have been trying to DL this for 15 minutes with no avail. I wish you would give another direct download option. I understand you can make money from this, adfly is not reliable and have some of the scummiest ads and popups I've seen.
Sincerely to the makers of Optifine; please make it easy for the end users to be able to download your fantastic tool. This is seriously making me RAGE.
Could someone upload the Multithreading version for me?
Well, due to my crappy computer, I have to run minecraft from a batch file (using the executable gives me the pixel format not accelerated error). Using the command console, this came up as what happens when installing optifine HD_F from a completely clean install:
TO EVERYBODY WHO HAS BEEN USING THE NEW VERSION AND HAS BEEN CRASHING
The new version (version f) only crashes when you have the water set to FAST. you can have the graphics set to FAST if you go into the details menu under video settings under settings and set water to FANCY, not DEFAULT. After you do the previous step, you can change the video settings from fast to fancy in the normal settings menu. The water won't be set to fast, but it will work (the graphics for the water don't really change the fps amount).
Oh, and I can post computer specs if you need them. (I am on a laptop, if you want to know.)

Yes. It's called reading the OP, checking for incompatibilities, and possibly reinstalling if you have any conflicts.
maybe integrating this mod into the game like they did pistons?
i hate knowing that i have a good pc but minecraft runs just as fast as my old crappy pc...
I hope notch improves Minecraft's performance in 1.8 :sad.gif: If he doesn't then performance is going to go down with 1.8 >.>

OptiFine 1.7.3_HD_F resulted in it blackscreening at the menu, and wouldn't let me progress into the game.
OptiFine 1.7.3_HD_F_MTL resulted in it crashing into a sky blue colour when I booted up a new world.
i3 processor, 4 GB memory, only an integrated GPU but that didn't stop my other computer from using this to great success.
I am on 1.7.3, with a completely fresh copy of Minecraft.exe. No other mods used, adn no error reports given.

I didn't run MCPatcher, I know optifine includes support for all that. Anyone know what this is?
