sp614 i have a question, why dident you start updating Optifine when the 1.6 came out? its like 12 days ago
seems like you started when the 1.6 came out offical like 6 days ago
You seem dumb. There's actually quite a few expalanations as to why he didn't update after 1.6 was first officially released. The first one was that MCP (Minecraft Coder Pack), or pretty much what is required to actually develop a minecraft mod, wasn't updated to 1.6, so he had to wait for the Coder Pack to update then to start progression on his mod. Also, you never know if they're going to change something graphical from the pre-release, the official launch was when sp614 could be sure he would update his mod (or I think itwould be like that). And last, but not least, these kinds of mods take some time to update, it's not like 2-clicks and you have it. Just play a lil' bit of the waiting game, working out patience is good, 1.6 will be there forever for you to play when it updates :]
The one thing I love about Minecraft was crippled when we had to change to the new launcher: Using Mods. Since the launcher was released, Ive yet to figure out how to install mods properly.
On the subject of Optifine, I can wait for it since the new launcher, in my eyes, sucks worse than a Creeper blowing up Diamond Ore.
I think the new launcher is actually pretty awesome. After you learn how to use it it's just as easy as installing normal mods. In addition, now you can switch out different modpacks.
OT: Good job with getting all the way to 80%!!! That was a massive leap! Thanks for all the hard work.

80% almost there! Remember to take your time who ever develops optifine! Sure, people are dying to get it but remember that everything has to be functioning right and that could take some extra time so take your time: )Good Job anyways! This mod is my #180% almost there! I get enough FPS already, but it doesn't hurt to improve upon it with Optifine! Keep up the work on the mod! It really helps people with older computers (mine's from around 2009)
No, in 1.6 I get more performance too. I'm not alone
Yeah, before I could barely run the default texture pack at ~10 fps, but after fiddling with somethings I got 1.6 to run at an average of 30 fps with a 32x texture pack.
