where is 1.4.7 at? the only downloads available are for 1.4.6 packs and none of them work for 1.4.7 AT ALL.
and do not ask the stupid question "did you install it correctly." the answer is yes a thousand times yes i installed it all 5 different ways that you are able to install a mod. using mod-loader using forge. aka the mods folder. i installed strait to the jar i ran a program that was made to install mods directly AND i installed it along side of another mod that was made to make 1.4.6 mods work in 1.4.7.
i did this with ALL availible versions in the downloads list at the TOP of the list. All 1.4.6 titled packs do Not work in 1.4.7. so why is it that the title of this post is 1.4.7 if no such pack has been made yet.
lastly. no it did not make my game crash. it simply is not working. and is not shown in the active mods list.
Then yes, you've somehow screwed up the install. The packages work as intended on the 1.4.7 release. You do not drop it in the mods folder if you've already installed Forge, you drop it in the minecraft jar after you've done that.
You install it in the minecraft.jar if you want a standalone install. Do you need proof?
Look in the top left corner, MC 1.4.7 and Optifine 1.4.6;D5
As the list with the chunks closest to the player is significantly smaller it will get the chance to update more often. A block update caused by the player would be rendered much quicker when there are many chunk updates. Even with only 1 chunk update per frame and 20fps this would limit the delay for nearby changes to be rendered to 400 milliseconds.
The chunks nearest to the player are updated first. This distance check is repeated for every frame. Chunks are only updated if they have been changed.
