I just installed OptiFine 1.8.1_HD_D2 and it works beautifully, but for one thing. I have a single click mouse, so I have to shift-click to place blocks and other things. When I press shift, the screen zooms in and I can't place anything. I took a look at all the options on Video Settings, but I can't figure out which one turns the zoom off. Help please?
Thanks!
Head over to your Controls screen. there should be a Zoom keybinding. I have mine set to Control or Tab, depending on multi- or singleplayer.
Compatibility note: Doesn't work with Little Blocks Mod (1.4 and down as of this post).

Will this work for the Minecraft RC 2 Candidate? If not, will you release one for it? And for 1.9 Pre Release 5, it boosted my FPS from 25 to 40-60, thanks man!Ok, i tested if it works for Minecraft Released Candidate 2, and it does not, it freezes at the loading screen, so if you can, create one for the RC 2, thanks! Hello, your mod has helped quite a bit in combating the Lag spike of Death/Doom which rendered minecraft unplayable but there are two errors. First of which is that unless i have far rendering on, after flying a bit in my new zeppelin, the game crashed upon me with a saving chunk error and a corrupted world. Second of which is that a specific ids used by modded items not originally in minecraft, the texture would appear as blue water. Please immediately address to these problems. Thank you very much, and please keep on modding.

Some update of minecraft have different obfuscation which is why some of the mods don't work correctly.
So they don't work.

Too addicted with Counter-Strike: Source for some reason...
I find that Millenaire takes a hefty chunk out of my performace, so you might consider removing it.
I too have an Intel Core 2 Duo and I get 60 - 70 FPS, so do check your GPU and RAM like pwnedgod said.
Do you mod your minecraft?
BTW, I have 2GB ram and a rating for gaming graphics and graphics on my computer by window's experience index of 3.5, the lowest of all the other scores of the window's experiece index. :mellow.gif: what kind i do to make my minecraft less laggy? after all, my minecraft is slightly faster when i off my internet connection and run nothing but minecraft.
i find it weird that my minecraft increases to 20 fps when i look up to the sky and do nothing else. :blink.gif:
I use somnia, toomany items, tales of kindom(i believe this to be the source due to the people around cells that lead to the void that try to kill you and stuff),millenaire(i enjoy this much, hasn't been causing much lag [frame of 40 without optifine or mine or fog]when i used yogbox in 1.7.3) and inventory sorter mod(forgot the name) plus treecapitator. I'll like help sorting my Minecraft since I paid good money for it.
Last of all, when i am in my own server with nobody else in it, i experience satisfiable frame rate of 30~40 fps. Any ideas what I can do besides switching RAM and graphics card(for i use a laptop)? All help appreciated. :smile.gif:
I need some help. I will attach two screen shots. Essentially what happens to me, even with optifine, is that I will attempt to place one block, the game will lag, take a dive in fps, and place two blocks... this get really really frustrating when I am trying to build something. The other issue I encounter is I will right click on a door to open it and it acts as if I have clicked it twice. Thereby opening then closing the door, or visa versa depending on the position the door was in first. I turned on the option "Smooth Input" in hopes that would solve the problem.... my computer sucks but not badly enough that it should be causing this kind of problem. It runs other games such as Hitman Agent 47 and Portal just fine.

There seems to be some kind of rending problem for the little blocks. All of us over on the other thread sure would appreciate if you could fix this when you have the time :biggrin.gif:

Not sure if it helps me with FPS, but then I am cranking all of the features to their max settings without suffering much loss. Great that I can use the Clear Water. It'd be nice to have Random Mobs and the Water Shader, too. Hope to see a RC2 version soon, but would settle for a 1.0 release.
odd.....i installed this and now my OTHER mods are GONE,no crashes(only lack of memory errors), just gone!
EDIT: never mind,i installed Better Blocks 1.8.1 update(different person updated it) and now its crashing when i open my invintory(i have TMI installed),wood has no texture, the world takes 5X the normal time to load and i cant tell if optifine works anymore.
. Seriously, I was running barebones ****. Modloader, Audiomod, TMI, and SPC, that's it.and the epic multithread of epic version Failed.shame it is, a gosh darned shame.oh, and the modloader.txt (because I get it when people get PO'ed when somebody doesn't post this an just says "it failed, herp derp")
I am curious with having all 3 optifine mods installed does anyone notice a difference in "Far" (256 blocks) between HDD and Ramdisk/SSD? I notice my blocks load kinda slow and thought about using a small ramdisk to speed up block loading....wasn't sure though if its worth the pain. Also with "Far View" on (x3 block distance) is there a FPS increase with a ramdisk?
If it does help than is there a mod to increase how many chunks get loaded? For example if I set to "far" and enabled "Far View" could I load the chunks within my far view range?
Hi folks,
optofine is great of course. i am wondering if anyone can try to assist me in getting anti aliasing to work properly. My video card is an nvidia 8800 gts (320 Meg). Yes not state of the art but should be sufficient.
I have tried out the diferent versions of optofine, i am mostly sticking with minecraft 1.8.1 for now.
I really like the over all look of the anti aliasing version. its really looks the best OVERALL to me. I really appreciate the textrure smoothing and aa. however when i use the aa version of optofine i get these wierd lines as shown HERE."]Here
this isnt my video, but it shows the issue. I have not been able to solve it by the solution presented in the video. does anyone know if its possible to properly play minecraft with anti alising on an 8800 gts without these disturbing lines?
thanks! please let me know if i can provide any other pertinent info!
thanks folks!
Hey, that rhymes.
