i do not completely agree with you well 1.14 is a little rough around the edges. i am running a world with 12 chunk render distance a large turtle island and an entity cramming disabled auto chicken farm with 200+ egg laying chickens and, a 6 beacon pyramid all inside of a large castle fully lit up with torches and am still getting over 100fps. however the computer i am running it on does have a leg up on most as it is a ryzen 2600 with an amd rx570 8gig graphics card running Ubuntu 18.04.2 LTS as its os with 4gigs of ram dedicated to minecraft and i am using Rodrigo's Pack 8X8 as my resource pack so my frame rate is probably not a good judge of how well 1.14 runs
Its really only a problem on smaller servers. I play on a vanilla private 1.14 server and it is terrible atm. Lag spikes, chunk loading errors, server crashes when you go through portal and more. Also the lighting blocks are messed up

one question though, was that server upgraded TO 1.14 or was it a fresh install of 1.14? meaning the world was a fresh 1.14 as well.
I don't really have all these issues people have :\
I've dedicated Minecraft 10GB of ram and it runs at a pretty solid 85FPS on 18chunk render, max settings and I get very few stutters.
I don't really play on servers anymore, so maybe its all server related. Lighting is a tiny bit off, but not enough for me to care much.

You absolutely do not want to do that.
Minecraft is made in Java, and it has a garbage collector thing.
Essentially, if you have too much RAM allocated, it makes a massive file, that then causes a massive lag spike when it's deleted.

Hey. This will probably annoy you if you are trying to scroll down the page.
Optifine 1.12.2 works for me but when i try it with the mod cloak, still works but the blocks that i cloaked appear as normal block and when i delete optifine from my mod and start up minecraft again these blocks are cloaked why is it doing that?
I've had 16gb allocated for awhile and this has never once been a problem.
It really depends on your situation.
Maybe your garbage collection settings are optimized to "collect the garbage" in RAM in smaller chunks?
Perhaps you have such a humongous modpack that most of this 16GB is actually in active use at all times, so there isn't a lot of room for garbage?
Or maybe you are just playing Vanilla which produces so little garbage that you can play hours on end without once filling up your RAM?

Greetings - I'm not running anything very beefy, just a laptop on Win 10 with onboard graphics adapter by Intel HD Graphics 620. Do I even try to apply Optifine?
Trying to run pixelmon 1.12.2-7.0.5 but still want optifine but every time i try to open a ender chest it crashes the game using "OptiFine_1.12.2_HD_U_C6" Is there any version of optifine that is compattable with pixelmon?
yes i tested w/o optifine installed. that's how i was able to tell it was optifine causing the crashes. The issues go away as soon as a load pixelmon w/o optifine installed.
FIXED
Seems like my version of optifine was way out of date "OptiFine 1.12.2 HD U E3" works fine w/o issue.

If said mod uses rendering tricks, that may explain it. Optifine replaces default render.

Who knows?

With the last generation i7 processor? No wonder. Try something more common.
I don't use Optifine for the stability, I use it for the filters and lighting (like from held torches). Unless there's another way of doing those.
if i wanna add translation to my own language, do i just make the file and submit a pull request?

Assuming you have the Optifine jar running as a mod and you've tested it without the Optifine 'mod'?
