According to the GLSL Shaders Mod thread, Shaders mod integration in Optifine only applies for Minecraft 1.8.8 and newer. If you're using 1.8 or older, you'll need the shaders mod separately.
With the newest version of Optifine I get a huge memory leak issue. When I play the game and minimize it into the taskbar, Java runs crazy with a awful memory leak:
I run MC with 16GB allocated RAM. When I use the normal MC without Optifine there is no memory leak. Anybody an idea how to fix this?

All you need to allocate , is 1GiG of ram to the Java VM . Optifine will try to use as much resources as it has available for frame buffer. It will prefer clean space to write to until the Java VM cleans out the Trash . In this case , you created your own problem . More is not better . If you are trying to speed up responsiveness, think RamDrive or SSD . Look at it this way . You live in a 16,000 square foot house and go room to room leaving a mess so bad , you have to move into the next room . Then to make it even worse , housekeeper only comes in once a week to clean .
Looks like OptiFine overrides the biome-specific fog settings from Biomes O'Plenty. Is there any way around this in the settings? I want spooky foggy woods!
I doubt any one can answer this but here goes. I am playing on a server and everything ran fine until I went from 100K from spawn to over a million. Now when I walk and move, everything is jumping into place on my screen. If I walk perfectly straight on either axis it's ok. It's as if for some reason because I'm so far out, something is having a hard time determining my position on the world. Now when I go back to my offline world, everything is back to being ok. When I also try a variety of shaders, I get the same results, so I'm thinking it's something with optifine. Anyone use Optifine at these large distances from spawn and see the same issues?

When you first /TP to a new area , your computer will become busy generating new chunks in all directions , so depending on your render distance , cpu , gpu , it will take a while . There are some other things that happen as well , but its always a good idea to pre-generate your map . If your computer doesn't have proper cooling your gpu / cpu will throttle down , to a lower state (slowdown) because all that extra work. Do not set your VM ram to high , 1 gig for normal use 2 gigs max . If you want personal help , we need computer specs also post any logs and in game press F3 and take a screenshot using F2
I doubt it has anything to do with my computer. My offline world runs fine on all worlds I have created. Online works fine but after I went from 100K overworld through the nether to 1 million things went wacky.
theres someone who made a website called "optifineD.net" help its scamming players and even has a link to this page! its hacking into peoples accounts!!

When you see "Fake" before anyone's username, it means there the REAL one. don't take my word for it, look at DanTDM's Vlogger Go Viral name, here. copy this signature if you like, just remember, the original person to have it was "FakeRedShift".
Uhm... lol... sorry, mate, my fault. Forgot to remove the "old" Optifine version.
Looks really good so far!
Could you tell me why anisotrphic filtering is not compatible?
Does it mean a quality loss compared with the shaders mod?
Minecraft's Graphic Library ( LWGL ) is outdated . If you read backward in the posts , you will see all the incompatibility's in play . Card drivers vs. Minecraft vs. LWGL , It's been trial and error to achieve the shader effects we currently have . Things that are not working together are disabled in Optifine . while solutions are worked on . No quality loss , it's as good as it can get at this time , Always a WIP

In optifine set the frame rate to unlimited . By default it is set to vsync or 120 , to match monitor refresh . It 's to much of a coincidence that your are getting the default of 60fps or monitor refresh . Almost same specs and i get 600 fps on laptop . check nVidia settings as well

The "optifineD.net" site is the "Download" mirror for "optifine.net".
It is official, a backup if the main site is down.
Hadn't noticed that one until your post, and shaders don't interest me that much (they don't work well with mods from what I've read, and I somewhat prefer using high-resolution resource packs). On the other hand, this interests me:
[10:58:41] [Client thread/INFO] [Config]: [OptiFine] Maximum texture size: 32768x32768
in the 1.7.10 preview version? (with my gtx 1070 card) awesome! Antialiasing still not supported in 1.7.10 (I move the slider all the way to the right, and it still says "off")? less awesome
SinceOptiFine_1.10.2_HD_U_D6 has integrated shaderpack support, can i ask shader related questions on this thread or do i have to go else where (shaders mod core thread?!) or am i completely wrong^^
Some shaderpacks create glitches while rendering transparent overlay textures like the wtf Expedtion mod. This does occur on sildur's, tme, even seus, but not on kuda, or conquest of the sun (based on chocapics). thats what i testet so far...
Is there there any option on the settings to avoid this?
The shader packs have full control over the rendering and they decide how to render transparent objects. This can only be fixed by fixing the shader pack.
Is there a 1.7.10 version of this mod that supports CIT(Custom Item Textures)?
I would like to use this over mcpatcher for 1.7.10(and updating to a newer version of minecraft isn't a option) but not having CIT is a huge deal breaker.
There is a 1.7.10 preview with shaders http://optifine.net/adloadx?f=preview_OptiFine_1.7.10_HD_U_D7_pre.jar

It's a little bit confusing. Do I need the ShadersModCore or does it work out of the box with this pre release of OptiFine?
As far as I can see, there's no button for Shader Settings.
It works the same as other versions . Just use Optifine with your favorite shader . Settings - Video - Shaders

I love how they assumed it was hacking people's accounts just because they didn't recognize it. lol :3

Can I use the latest Optifine in my modpack for 1.11.2 that I'm making?
Your copyright section is telling me to ask you. So, here I am... =)
