This is consistently reproducible with all versions of Minecraft I've tried, from 1.7.10.
Enable Fast Render -> Sky is flashing when tooltip appears on the screen.
Disable Fast Render -> Sky stays the same color.
For best reproduction effect, point your head above horizon line.
Downloaded Optifine for 1.12.2 (D1 one) and looks like when I downloaded the jar (clicked on "Download Optifine 1.12.2 D1.jar", the link is valid!) and noticed the ads are back and redirected me automatically on a mmorpg website. Reenabled Adblock =(. Sorry to say that but ads shouldn't redirect users without clicking on them^^ I haven't clicked on those pesky ads yes, only the optifine.jar dl link.
CPMstar adserver (from those banners I noticed) isn't well reputable, is it? Probably getting an extension to disable auto-redirects and disabling adblock, but im on chrome^^

MagicLauncher is the best launcher I ever used! Hoping the developer would update for 1.13.x and 1.14.x
- optifine 1.7.10 D4 work fine with ShaderModCore and Sildur Vibrant Lite shaders and standart Faithful textures
But latest optifine 1.7.10 E3 without ShaderModCore ( he say - no need more) go to crash with this strings:

Is there a way to disable the CTM included in Optifine for the default textures? I've made a repeat sandstone texture that doesn't work properly because Optifine overrides it with its height CTM.
you can create ctm bundle for texture , something like this:

Since when does Optifine add CTM to the default textures?
And It seems also with an AdBlocker the webpage to download the jar also redirects to a random website that shouldn't happen. Another extension to prevent autorediecting :/

So I am using the latest version of Optifine with the latest recommended version of Forge. Also using Liteloader with the Voxel Minimap lite mod. When I change to the Radiant Pixels texture pack, the game crashes with this crash log:
The game crashed whilst tesselating block model
The game crashed whilst tesselating block model
Error: java.lang.NullPointerException: Tesselating block model
That seems like it could potentially be related to my mod but I can't reproduce the crash (optifine + forge + liteloader and voxelmap with Radiant Pixels). Any other mods?
Is Optifine only usable with JRE 8? I'm running the latest version of JRE and latest version of MultiMC, and it crashes with this log:

It's pretty easy to realise they're referring to Java 10. Back in Java 9, 'reflection' was purposely borked, and it still hasn't been reinstated in 10. As such, any modifications to the vanilla .jar file will crash, when attempting to play it.
Now, I don't know enough about Java to say if sp614x can fix this on his end, or if relies only on Oracle adding a new way to make things function. Until then, players wanting to modify minecraft (such as with OptiFine) will need to stick with Java version 8u162, or older.

Is there any option to change the render distance for height at long distance? Optfine cuts large objects in the distance in half after a certain range. I understand why it does this but I can't seem to find an option to turn it off. I've tried OptiFine 1.12.2 HD U D1 & OptiFine 1.12.2 HD U D2 pre.

ok new optifine e7 today released
but dont work - crash with ticking screen on sildur vibrant..
d4 version+shadercoremod best choice for play with texture packs+shaders combos

Can you add "dimension blacklist" option for shaders?
Some dimensions should be dark and creepy, but with optifine+shaders it's full of bright

hi, how can i manually install optifine? I have already this file: 1.12.2-OptiFine_HD_U_C9.jar
And i wan´t to update it manually to the actual version. What do i have to do?
1. I have downloadet and extracted the OptiFine_1.12.2_HD_U_D1.jar
if you downloaded the optifine jar file, just place it in your mods folder and remove the old version.
