I think more than actual bug this is due to me having raised the amount of wood that is "earmarked" for construction and not to be exported or otherwise used. I suppose I could allow the miner's wife to take from it, he doesn't need much anyway.
However I think you exaggerate the impact of it. I don't remember anybody else complaining about it at least. And you can always put wood in the furnaces yourself if it bothers you so much.
I do think I'd like that to be fixed as well, it would be nice :smile.gif:
Fantastic mod! If I had to choose one, this would be it. I only wished it worked on existing maps. Very good instillation instructions - worked the 1st time. The only bug I saw was the lumberjack running in a circle. eventually I just whacked him and he straightened out.
Not sure if it a bug. But I have noticed several 'dig' spots around the middle of the where just one tile is dug up, and then stops, showing a stone tile. Also there's larger id say 6*6*6 holes where some stone has been mined out and just leaving a hole, not getting used more that once (it appears) for mining out a specified qty of stone. I'm thinking this will stop as soon as there's a quarry. these are just kind of a nuisance.
Really a great mod!
It does work on existing maps, you just have to go to an area not already rendered in your exploration to find a new village. You can always buy the Baguette to spawn new villages closer to your hub of construction once you get to a village and buy one. I had to travel (Thankfully with the airship mod) a pretty far distance but I found a few and then started my own.
I was so happy when it said they attack monsters! But they only spawn during the night, what's the point then? lol
Anyway awesome job keep up the good work!
i found a cave below the village during the day.. dark down there, even during the day, so when i came upon mobs.. who shows up to help me? the npc is his fancy outfit. he scared the crap out of me cause he came up behind me. i turned around and punched him before i knew what he was.
bug: well every time i've done a village with a watch tower, the ladder in it is bugged. when the npc places the watchtower, 2 pieces of ladder near the 2nd and 3rd floors break off during construction or something. basically prevents you from being able to climb the tower. i added my own ladder to fix it but... this bug definitely seems repeatable.

Same here, you can simply put back the fallen piece of ladder though it isn't that bad.
0.7.6
- Guards and knights will now attack mobs in the village's vicinity (in daytime only) - Villagers will now only fight back if their health has dropped by more than five hearts (so a single blow of anything except a Normand or diamond sword will no trigger a response)
- Fixed bug with foreign merchants causing exceptions
This also applies to mob damage? So only the guards and knights will kill them mobs now?
The creature-fighting ability doesn't work right because the guards will target mobs underground that they can't get to and just spin around in circles like morons. At least that's what I can guess as to why they dance around in circles.

But the problem is that he isnt using the furnace at all. I though i was suposed to give them glass and smooth stone since they didnt seen to produce them.
Left the village active for 3 days (village with 2 quarrys) and they didnt produced a single glass or smooth stone.
Then i put some coal at the furnaces and the wife took the glass to town hall (there was a 64 sand waiting to be turned to glass on all 4 furnaces). Also after it finished all the sand, they didnt start to produce smooth stone and they have a lot of cobble stone because i sold them a lot of them. Took some time but they started now.
So, this mod doesn't seem to be working well for me. Does it only work with a new save? Because in my save I use it can't find a village. No matter how far I travel. But a village is right there when I start a new world. This problem also happens with More Trees and Coral Reef. It only works when I start a new save. Is there anyway to fix this. I like my world. I don't want to start a new one.

On an existing world you need to explore further, also need some luck, to find a village, then sell things so you can buy the village wand (baggete of something) then you can create a village closer to your existing house.
Or use a invedit to have one of those baggete to create a village.

Ah. I see. I've downloaded TooManyItems so I can just plant trees and things. What's the want to make a village called? It's probably in TooManyItems.

Its Bagette d'Invocation with item id 3267. Check the wiki for wich block create the village you want or use it on a dirt block that it will show the types and the respectives blocks.

Now I just have to figure out how to fix more trees and coral reef. I can make the reefs and trees myself, but I would rather them just spawn naturally.
I'm not entirely sure if this is a glitch or not, but I was walking over towards the fort to sell some supplies and one of the women in the village fell off of the roof, on fire, and then died. Is there any normal circumstance that can cause that to happen? If it helps they were upgrading the fort at the time

They can sometimes glitch to the roof of the building when they enter it and fall off, but being on fire is not something that normally happens.
I love it, just one thing, you should add more pictures and descriptions to the forum thread showing all the buildings and stuff, but ohter than that, great mod, I love it

Now I know I've suggested more village varieties before, but this one is kinda cool in my opinion.
Elves and dwarves. Now, I know you want to keep it closer to Norman and realistic stuff, but now that you have magical amulets it isn't that big of a stretch. Just replace orientals with Elves, and Vikings with Dwarves. Have random cities for them.
The elves would use special saplings to build their houses, so selling them saplings and metals would get you lots of money. If you cut wood near them, they would attack you. There would be special elf varieties, just like human varieties. Wood-talkers (essentially a woodcutter, but he convinces trees to give him their top-most wood block) would use the elve's scant wood resources for making high-powered bows and swords. Others would be up to you naturally.
Dwarves would farm mushrooms instead of wheat, and be completely underground. Their houses would essentially only be a small outpost above ground, maybe all connected to a single entrance above ground that you have to go through. Dwarves have plenty of ores, but will give anything for wood and other above-ground resources. They would start out with 2 miners, who can go into caverns like the miners from MineColony. Eventually, they would have up to 5 miners. They would not be able to dig out the top layer of dirt, any sand or wood, or placed blocks.
You know what the best part of this mod is? Not that it's very amazing (which it is), but the fact that it is updated every day is amazing. Everyday I'll play Minecraft and find out there's a new building or character in Millenaire. Plus, I have never even seen a bug about this mod, ever. It's just such a good mod. It has a good potential.
I do think I'd like that to be fixed as well, it would be nice :smile.gif:
